    thanks for sharing.
I'm a former member of SCJ. When I was weak in my faith I never sang during service, I didn't participate in chants, just sat there with a dead facial expression not listening because I did research and discovered information outside of SCJ (outside of that echo chamber) i was rocked to the core, heavily disturbed, it changed my view about the organisation, though as much as you want to believe in God, the Bible, Jesus and his promises I realized that the new information that was introduced won't ever go away.
blessing in disguise that I am free from this organisation, and changed my view on life.

20:06 definition of a cult, cult and secular view-is such a great breakdown of what goes on in high control and demand groups like scj and wms.
Shincheonji and Wmscog uses the exact same tactics and it just shows how they psychoanalyze their members into making them believe everything that is done is in their best interests.
Thank you guys for making such an insightful video which helps many of us who leave these destructive high demand groups 👏🙏

"Hidden by God until the prophecies are fulfilled" (10:04). I hope WMSCOG members watch this video and listen to what Laurie, an ex-SCJ not WMS member, is saying.

Wow! So well explained and the similarities between this group and the wmscog are so similar but yet they both claim to be the “truth” 🤦🏾‍♀️

Thank you! I know I’m one year late from this video being made, but I recently left this evil group. I’m spiritually broken, but still staying strong building my relationship with Jesus Christ our only lord and savior 🙏🏼❤️

This interview is awesome. It definitely resonates with how I felt at wmscog. Like I dress fancy m-f at work so when I'm anywhere else u better believe I dress how I want- like a punk and there's a lot of social pressure to dress nice. I miss it in a weird way lol just like going against the flow in my way, but there was too much weird doctrine to the point where u couldn't get around it. It was to the point where I would wake up, shower for work and in the shower I would have their worship songs in my head instead of my cool instrument jams. It was getting to me like slowly and they don't realize how brainwashy it is. Their videos in the church have a buncha creepy hypnosis tactics 👻 definitely red flags when I was there. Everyone I brought it up to thinks I'm a nut, just like the backgrounds in the news, maybe I'm just more susceptible so I realize it, I'm not sure. But I don't trust when my information has trippy spirals or the type of things before a movie starts with a countdown. But I'm a conspiracy theory guy 🤪 thnx for your video guys. I appreciate your mics 🎤 being clear and for you having such a real conversation 💎

Ooohh can you pls elaborate on the hypnosis tactics? I remember struggling to even focus 😂 I would be so mind-numbingly bored watching video sermons, I was always so sleepy during them and by the end, after 8 years, I would actually even try to inconspicuously nap during them 😂 it was always the saaame damn thing being preached

I remember sharing sessions whereby when members left. The leaders mentioned many times, in church we are blessed. If we leave our lives shatter and become terrible. However, if the ex members life become good, it is the work of evil. I, Norina have left wmscog Singapore and my life is so much better. I wasted 12 years. 12 years of youth and beauty wasted.
Laurie, thank you for clarifying and opening my eyes.

Awesome video, current SCJ members and ex-members who may want to better understand their experience should watch this. The aspect you mention of manipulating members and recruits to make them believe they are in full control is so important imo. It also has the effect of causing SCJ members to double down on faulty beliefs in the face of conflicting evidence because ofc you will try to reduce your cognitive dissonance if you believe you were 100% in control and responsible for ending up there in the first place. Realising I was not in control of how I ended up there gave me a lot of internal permission to begin realising I could actually leave.

      That's a great point.
I'll share some info about cognitive dissonance for others who read the comments:
It can be very hard to change the human mind. Completely changing our beliefs and creating a new worldview takes a lot of effort, time and energy. Our brain evolved ways to save energy in order for us to survive. This is why we experience cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort we experience when we are presented with ideas that oppose our beliefs. The greater the emotional attachment we have to a belief and the more fundamental a belief is to our personal identity, group identity and worldview, the greater the degree of discomfort we will experience. In order to resolve this discomfort, we tend to continuously find ways to reinforce our beliefs by focussing on information that supports our beliefs while avoiding information that opposes our beliefs (confirmation bias). We tend to ignore or explain away information that opposes our beliefs. Because of our need for certainty, we want our beliefs and behavior to be consistent. When we experience inconsistency between our beliefs and behavior, we tend to look for ways to resolve the discomfort that it produces. The more we have invested in a belief, the more invested we are in maintaining and protecting the belief, and the less likely we are to change our mind when presented with opposing information. This is why being proven wrong or facing criticism can sometimes increase the degree of confidence that someone has in a belief. Therefore, cognitive dissonance is a survival mechanism and the reason why it is so hard to change the human mind.
Our brain perceives information that opposes our beliefs as a threat to our survival. This results in us experiencing negative emotions, getting offended, becoming defensive and easily fooling ourselves by rejecting good evidence and reason. Once we understand cognitive dissonance, we can start seeing it as the brain’s way of telling us that we might be wrong. It is impossible to have good evidence and reason for all of our beliefs and complete certainty should be avoided since it hinders us from being willing to learn and change our mind. We are more likely to gain knowledge when we recognize the extent of our knowledge and ignorance, learn to deal with uncertainty and are open to changing our minds.

The World Mission Society Church of God taught around 2009 that Ahnsahnghong's parents were buddhist and that's part of the reason why he fulfilled the prophecy of Melchizedek. Then later, they said that they never taught that and even made a post about it on the True WMSCOG site owned by Elder Victor. If you use the wayback machine you can see that the church did in fact teach that, Jeremy mentioned this in one of his older videos. These groups gaslight members making them think that they remembered wrongly when in fact we are the ones being lied to.

Basically what ever mistake you make its the will of God,or it's your fault for not obeying god or worst to worst you are Satan or Judas.but what if the predictions have failed the cult gods are not Satan or cheaters who have tricked innocent people in the cult.

When the enemy tells you something...believe them!
“We need to be the party of nationalism and I’m a Christian, and I say it proudly, we should be Christian nationalists.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) “I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk - that’s not in the Constitution.” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) Lauren Boebert calls for laws to enforce "biblical citizenship training" in our schools.
“We’re not bending the knee to the two percent anymore,” said Andrew Torba, founder of the right-wing-friendly social platform Gab, referring to Jewish people in the United States. Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser, told a Christian gathering last November, “If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion. One nation under God and one religion under God.” The 10-year-old Ohio girl who crossed state lines to receive an abortion in Indiana should have carried her pregnancy to term and would be required to do so under a model law written for state legislatures considering more restrictive abortion measures, according to the general counsel for the National Right to Life. Former President Donald Trump said during a speech on Saturday that "Americans kneel to God" alone, as the concept of Christian nationalism continues to gain traction among conservatives. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis attended a rally in Pennsylvania with state Sen. Doug Mastriano. Mastriano has praised Andrew Torba, the founder of Gab and a self-described Christian nationalist. Desantis is the most insidious of them all because he knows better.
