Push the button, pull in the lever and click the foot shifter down. All the other gears 1-5 are up. If it doesn’t work check the reverse cable it might need adjustment or replacement. FYI 250ex doesn’t have a clutch they are semi-automatic. Also that same lever is the rear brakes and that cable could also be bad. Disconnect it and try that.
I got a 1992 fourtrax 250x and it’s in great condition, picked it up for 1300. Haven’t done anything to it other then ride it around everything on it is brand spanking new. Someone offered 2000.
Why would you tap the starter if it turns over 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ it’s a Honda it’s a durable machine can’t go wrong with a Honda . Change the oil though
Hello Ben, I recently posted a video of a Honda Four trax that had a starter issue, needed to hit it a couple times to crank.This 250’s starter had an issue so when first trouble shooting I will do as much as possible before taking a wrench to it. Turns out it was the starter button not the starter. Second video coming with that in it. Also I fully service everything before I sell them. Thanks for commenting and watching!

Sweet video, how much did you pay for it? I just picked an 06 up for 1200 bucks runs and looks very nice should be a quick 1000 profit
I paid $850 for it.
Wow that much I got mine the guy didn’t know what was wrong for 200 was just not getting fuel changed carb and she runs like a charm
