A couple things: 1. You aren't supposed to do anything but water in the machine as it could potentially damage the machine, would be a better idea to only do the water then pour it on top of the other ingredients and lightly mix (either stir in the cup or put it in the bottle and just tilt it back and forth a tiny bit). 2. Try letting the bottle sit in the machine for a minute or so, the longer it sits before you release the pressure, the more CO2 will get dissolved aka a fizzier drink without wasting as much gas. This is even more relevant in this case cause alcohol and the lime juice are thicker so it would be harder to dissolve.
Hey, nice video, but however although i might be mistaken, i think you shouldn't put the vodka in there before you carbonate, i think the pressure can turn some of the ethanol into vapor leaving you with a much less strong drink
Notes: Malt = grain based Limes= never the same amount of liquid produced per fruit. I would use some kind of volumetric measurement. Most people have a shot glass, jigger or scale Neutral spirit= Many "Neutral" grain spirits have drastically different effects on flavor. I would suggest to your viewers to utilize a spirit they enjoy and that quality and price do in fact make a difference. If your trying to clone a white claw you do not need to buy a hype branded product owned by a celebrity but I would suggest a bottle of spirits that is above 15 dollars per 750 ml. Flavor: If you would like to add sweetness use a simple syrup. Recipe (standard shelf stable) 2/1 white sugar to Distilled water Recipe (low calorie) 2/1 monkfruit powder sweetner to Distilled water. you can mix at room temp until dissolved or use a stove top at low heat to reduce the mixing time. Sub note::: More presses of a soda stream button has a LARGE effect on the finished seltzer. It does not necessarily control bubble size but it does control the experience. One push: standard soda Two push: Lacroix Three push: (I can not recommend that you do this or any higher as volume of container vs fluid fill may cause spillage or explosion) But it tastes like TV static Four push: Tastes like needles 🪡 Best of luck and happy experimenting 😉
I don’t drink hard seltzer straight. I use it as a mixer. For example I use a lime white claw in place of the seltzer in a mojito. With that being said I have several friends that love hard seltzer. Im going to give this a try myself. I plan to use puréed strawberries with no sugar added and compare that too a strawberry syrup. I also thought about using actual flavored waters that I like, adding some vodka to it and then hit it with a couple shots on the soda stream.
Why Skol? Because it's vodka, there's absolutely nothing unique about it that's exclusive to Skol so the only way it could be a "headache in a bottle" to you is if you're just drinking too much or you're having a reaction to one of the grains being used which in that case it would apply to many brands, not just Skol🤷♂
I was told to leave a comment down below, but I cannot. It makes me leave this comment on the side of the video. I don't know if this counts. Anyway, there are ZERO laws when drinking claws. HOWEVER, are there any laws if I make my own claws? Thanks

We like to bend the rules :D
I love went commenters add something constructive, cheers!
It clearly states in the owner manual to only use plain water in the Sodastream because of the potential damage it could cause to the machine.
Definitely gonna have to grab myself a sodastream and start doing this at home. Hard Seltzers are so damn expensive now.
I hear you

Thanks! I wonder how much, if any, it does. Would make a good experiment.
Good on your and your team for doing this kind of work. Not in my realm of content I follow but I can appreciate the quality.

Nice video man! I’ll be trying this with the fiancée this weekend
Awesome! Cheers!
Great video as always!
Thanks Katie!
I thought you were suppose to add flavoring after running it or is that specific to which soda stream you have>
You're supposed to... but it never hurt anything in my experience
Grapefruit truly
Yumm

I like that idea of using it as a substitute for club soda in a mixed drink
That sounds gross as fuck just don’t drink seltzer’s
Only time I used it as a mixer, I don’t remember anything after that 😄
They use citric acid for a bit of a bite and crispness
Yep
Tonic water has quinine and is not neutral.
That's correct
I caught that too, but tonic water with gin and lime/lime juice is one of my favorite cool weather cocktails 🤷
Why Skol? Please use anything BUT Skol!
It's a headache in a bottle unless you use for cleaning purposes.
To each his own. I never had any headache issues with it

Healthy vodka! 😉
Haha yes!

Side comments are acceptable... for now
"Is there any others?"
Go to the liquor store and half of the fridge is now seltzers.
Sad but true
