It's hilarious seeing the sudden shift in opinion between a comment posted 4 weeks, 3 weeks, and 1 week ago. Holy shit I don't know how they thought this wouldn't happen.
I think everyone screwed up on No Man's Sky. Dev's, Game Reviewers, Sony and most of all the gamers with unrealistic expectations. Game honestly turned out as I expected. How did anyone see it was going to be any other way? I think Hello Games could bring it back if they focused on the PC and took advantage of the better hardware (well usually better) and added the cut content back in. Mods have shown we could have the game we were shown if Sean and Co could live with cross platform games having different content like games they used to have. Need to go back to making platform exclusive versions of games. Make it for what it is going to run on, not this one size fits all.

They should have a feature where you are notified when someone visits a planet that you have discovered. That way you get a sense of how vast the game really is.
Yeah exactly, because the way Sean puts it, there's a good chance that the world you started on or discovered will never be visited again. I think it would be sentimental to see that someone is there looking at everything you first saw.

The environment is completely destructible so in theory, you could build a makeshift shelter... not quite a permanent settlement but to be fair the goal of the game isn't to settle on one planet. in a way the ship is a home.

I did actually come across sand planets twice and it was more of a mountain based like those huge pillar hills combined with sand dunes and rocky fractals around. The only ones that are probably not there are volcano planets ( Like proper magma ) pretty much all the other options are there including - all water and ever so little land. But yea, sadly the rest of the things you listed are missing or not being as promised.

No, hello games didn't deserve the hate back then at least not the hate they got, death threats, bomb threats etc, because the people hyped it up so much. Don't get the game untill you have seen others test it out unless you want to risk getting a game you don't want.

The center of the galaxy, if as accurate as their other references to astrophysics etc in game, is probably a supermassive black hole. You would have to spend your journey there upgrading your ship to the point where it can survive crossing that event horizon of the black hole at the center, whereupon you can wormhole to a new galaxy to explore. Pure speculation but it makes the most logical sense to me

Do you have a theta warp drive(along with the ones below it)? Are you paying attention to the system classifications? Have you tried a planet in a O, B or E systems?
In the top left corner of the galaxy map there’s a compass showing where you are in relation to the centre of the galaxy. I have come across multiple planets with dinosaurs on them and while there are no proper jungles in the game, there are decently dense clusters of trees on many lush planets. Sean Murray isn’t a liar, he just talked about features that he wanted to be in the game but either weren’t finalised or were yet to be implemented. Almost all of what was promised/shown is now in the game, along with numerous features that were never promised in the first place (e.g. base building, vehicles, guild missions, 30+ hours of story and pretty soon VR and MMO elements).
When he told them that they didn't have to only warp to another solar system and just fly into the abyss is jaw dropping. Just float for hours in space till you find a planet.

My god that was was grate, interview, questinare, i watched begining to end and am blown away how there is just no end. Thats the best i can explain my anticipation to this game. There is no end to how much i hear and learn what and how much there is to interact with. It is basic in exploring but the simple unknown factor makes it a never ending joy. I have not played any alpha bega data but still... Just cant wait. With that said i know the hype is high, my own included. Non the less i know i will be part of the community of explorers to the unknown. I will log my experience day by day every day i.. Experience a new planet, galaxy, for on our planet that dream may not come true. But because of No Man's Sky the dream has become real in such a larger way than ever expected. *NO WHERE SKY* To boldly go where no one can go to for many years, birds have nests, and foxes have holes, but the NMS gamer has nowhere to lay his head. 30 years from now I get to see my 50 year old friend, but then he shoots me as I was happily waving over to him on his desolate planet, -- because I took too long to find him. if I happen to see a pink poca- dotted purple plant eating elephant like creature hoping about, and winking at me, yea, this will indeed make my day. but if I reluctantly lasar kill a cute little red green striped bunny rabbit with a rather large beaver's tale, with some long boney spikes in its head...because it kept annoying me by chasing me everywhere, the "militant droid police" won't like me and will be relentless, and go about turning me into a tiny regenerated pixel bit . yea, now and then I will have to blast and burrow into the center core of the planet, if possible. in order to escape from a giant man eating 100 foot tall T- rex, which just stomp down on my ship, which looks more like a pink and purple and green striped Godzilla, with a very long bright green tongue, making erie squeal sounds at me seeing me running. [who happened to be by chance computer generated to be a very hungry creature for (what appears to be invisible) human flesh.. ] so I blast into the ground, real deep like, so that I can fly into the hot red white core with my jet pack or lie down in the darken void, and barely escape the terror of my life with being grossly eaten! Then by chance, or fortune, I happen upon an ominous monument, with broken chinese like markings. and I hear the tall "bar of life" give off a very long tone, OHMMMMM, and the planet starts to tremble. but the message read "beware of the massive black hole in the center of the galaxy". but I could't read it then or ever will and so I had to walk away. another obelisk finds me here, on a yellow purple stony pink colored watery island world, was beaming flashing blue white glow lights at me, which made me feel emotional and fuzzy about the mental state of these unknown immortal aliens, (or so I thought,) so then I decided to find more about much they loved me, and dearly care about me, and when I did, only then did I find out that, (and too late) that they want to experiment with me, with their newly generated machine snake like body probes, to CG create a new form of hybrid creature for their lovely plush purple colored planet. but it turned out to be a snail in shell with a human helmet head on it. and then I will meet those infamous pirate aliens, and sadly found out that all they wanted was to steal my well updated ship... made ready for that amazing journey inward... so that they themselves could fly into the center of the galaxy. yea, I the hermit, the thin hairy legged couch potato, the recluse, the loner, the tired and weary, already lost in the vast internet oblivion, amid 18 quintillion number of websites out there, I therefore would indeed absolutely love this game until I die! living everyday, flying in every possible way, lost forever as a wanderer, aimlessly adrift in the CG universe of No Man's Sky .

yes, i have, but we are, at this current point in time, nowhere near the funding we need for intergalactic travel, but if a bunch of the worlds nations with existing space programs band together, i see at least solar system travel in the next 10-15 years.

The center of the galaxy, if as accurate as their other references to astrophysics etc in game, is probably a supermassive black hole. You would have to spend your journey there upgrading your ship to the point where it can survive crossing that event horizon of the black hole at the center, whereupon you can wormhole to a new galaxy to explore.

there is a planetary minimap. look on your bloody ship. it has a holographic nav system.
In the top left corner of the galaxy map there’s a compass showing where you are in relation to the centre of the galaxy. I have come across multiple planets with dinosaurs on them and while there are no proper jungles in the game, there are decently dense clusters of trees on many lush planets.
Sean Murray isn’t a liar, he just talked about features that he wanted to be in the game but either weren’t finalised or were yet to be implemented. Almost all of what was promised/shown is now in the game, along with numerous features that were never promised in the first place (e.g. base building, vehicles, guild missions, 30+ hours of story and pretty soon VR and MMO elements).

I am getting surprised yet still at times after 70 hours in. its hilarious because the games size is so massive and everybody is treating it like the average small ass game and if they don't see something in 20 hours or less they are giving up. also bitching about this game saying its not worthy of AAA sixty. Never seen any great triple A game so huge. Never. Smh. lol. Oh, they are detailed, but are they THAT detailed really? Not really, ultimately. Love this game. My god that was was grate, interview, questinare, i watched begining to end and am blown away how there is just no end. Thats the best i can explain my anticipation to this game. There is no end to how much i hear and learn what and how much there is to interact with. It is basic in exploring but the simple unknown factor makes it a never ending joy. I have not played any alpha bega data but still... Just cant wait. With that said i know the hype is high, my own included. Non the less i know i will be part of the community of explorers to the unknown. I will log my experience day by day every day i.. Experience a new planet, galaxy, for on our planet that dream may not come true. But because of No Man's Sky the dream has become real in such a larger way than ever expected. Thank you Sean Murray, your team, and for all of your accomplishments. Good luck but i believe you may not need in.

yea, now and then I will have to blast and burrow into the center core of the planet,
if possible. in order to escape from a giant man eating 100 foot tall T- rex, which just stomp down on my ship,

and I hear the tall "bar of life" give off a very long tone, OHMMMMM, and the planet starts to tremble.
but the message read "beware of the massive black hole in the center of the galaxy".
but I could't read it then or ever will and so I had to walk away.
another obelisk finds me here, on a yellow purple stony pink colored watery island world,
was beaming flashing blue white glow lights at me, which made me feel emotional
and fuzzy about the mental state of these unknown immortal aliens, (or so I thought,)
so then I decided to find more about much they loved me,
and dearly care about me, and when I did, only then did I find out that, (and too late)
that they want to experiment with me, with their newly generated machine snake like body probes,
to CG create a new form of hybrid creature for their lovely plush purple colored planet.
but it turned out to be a snail in shell with a human helmet head on it.
and then I will meet those infamous pirate aliens,
and sadly found out that all they wanted was to steal my well updated ship...
made ready for that amazing journey inward...
so that they themselves could fly into the center of the galaxy.
yea, I the hermit, the thin hairy legged couch potato, the recluse, the loner, the tired and weary,
already lost in the vast internet oblivion, amid 18 quintillion number of websites out there,
