a decade ago my friend attempted to set the world record of holding breath underwater. Up to this day he is still there underwater, and for sure when he comes out no one will be able to beat his record.
So used to seeing him so deadpan and almost expressionless on his magic performance, it's so strange and fascinating to see him so excited & jolly when speaking about his passion of magic, human body, and endurance.
Less than 15mins of practice required, I did 1 round of Wim Hoff , was shocked cuz I've always had poor breath hold (less than 1min), had to right it down and mark the date cuz on the first go I hit 3min 04 sec.
Joe Rogan’s ultimate talent is getting his interview guests to explain their passions in their work. He celebrates their achievements with them. I love his positivity towards his guests and his in-depth questions🤔
It’s not hard to get someone to discuss their passion. By definition, if you are “passionate” about something, you are happy to talk about it in depth.
I love this duo. Joe is genuinely interested and David is so excited to finally geek out and tell someone how he is able to do all this. Yeah, a lot of people don’t consider that chokeholds block the carotid artery, meaning that oxygenated BLOOD will not reach the brain. That will put someone out very quick, no matter how long they can hold their breath (because blood is still able to flow). Then again, maybe we are all being too literal about your fun comment and need to just enjoy the humor that you have presented. :)
