  • The Power of Mornings: Why Successful Entrepreneurs Wake up Early
They say the early bird catches the worm, and research suggests there might be some truth to the old adage.
Waking Up Early has incredible power on productivity. Waking up with (or before) the sun allows executives like Elon Musk and Richard Branson to get a head start on the day, knocking out tasks before the rest of the world has rolled out of bed.
Those "extra" hours also give them a chance to do some creative thinking, fit in a workout, and spend time with family.
When running a business, it may seem like there are never enough hours in the day. Tapping into the power of mornings, a time of day when there are less demands, might be the key to increasing your productivity.
Mornings are ideal for getting the most important things out of the way. If your name is Elon Musk, you’re probably tasked with taking humanity to outer space, and colonizing Mars. But even if you’re not, there are other projects on the list that require your full and undivided attention. Luckily for you, there are less distractions in the early hours of the day so you can achieve more with minimal interruptions. It is yet another benefit of waking up early, especially if you want to get things done.
The last morning ritual I’m going to recommend today is planning for the long term. As we find ourselves in the swirl of our daily routine, there is less time, energy, or incentive to think about where you’re headed in the long run. Conversely, early hours are stress and worry-free. Use it to map out your life and identify both short- and long-term objectives. Don’t forget to track your progress, and reward the effort at the end.
Good news is, waking up early habit is easy to adopt. You just have to set the alarm 5 minutes earlier every day, until you achieve the desired wake-up time. If you’re having a habit of hitting a snooze button, I suggest putting the alarm as far away from your bedside as possible, and make the annoying distant sound of your cell phone do the trick.

it's been worth the wait! Love it! I learned to put my alarm at least 5 feet away since I have a habit of pressing snooze.
