- Bought two bicycles from Dicks Sporting goods for my kids who did not want them. Oddly, the boxes say "to be sold fully assembled only"
guess the guy in the store that shipped it to our house didnt know the store rules. There were no instructions, so the first bike took me a long time to put together. This video is the second bike- and hopefully this will help someone who is in the same position as I was.
Sorry the video isnt great. There were no videos on assembling this kind of bike. I tried hard but it’s tough to get the right angles. Hope it helps someone
It's difficult when assembling indoors! At the same time though, it offers a realistic view of how a lot of us need to do things. I for example live in an apartment building so I usually use the hallway space or the floor of our kitchen for bicycle builds and maintenance.
Getting those close-ups were a kind detail. :)
@Cyromantik Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. What would have really helped? Is if I had a stand to hang the bicycle from as I was putting it together. At least one person didn't think it was awful- And that's enough for me.
What size allan key do u you use to tighten the handle bars? My sons handelbars came off line and i cant find the correct size to re tighten them.

Why did the bike come with 2 screws 2 caps and a washer?
Did you see me take out of the box those parts in the video?
I don't remember anything like that and I'm wondering if my bike had those parts
If you look at 20:18 what I’m “installing” is exactly how it was in the box. So yes, the seat was already attached to the post Can’t say it’s that way with every bike, but unless it’s very high end I think they are already together. Thanks for watching.
I have an orange pueblo nishiki, I don’t need anything fancy. Mine’s held up for 3 years so far.

how do you fix the front brake from touching the wheel?

Yes, I believe it is. I’ll edit this post when my wife is around and I can ask her. She ordered them.
