Exactly the same for me… I tried all the trimmers on the market, it's the only one that did this to me. I returned it. It’s a beautiful trimmer but not efficient. The new shaver, exactly the same… not good for me. not at the same level as the clipper
I bought it then I set the blades and that thing smacks, even the indention on the front is in a great spot because it actually assist with the lining I don’t think any tools are necessarily terrible or even absolutely perfect so I don’t know how you use them have fun, be creative, and most of all, never stop learning
I bought a pair and here are my thoughts. Out of the box it was over-gapped. Way too sharp. I was able to push the blade back but then I found it was not sharp enough. I sometimes spend hours making sure my trimmer blades are perfect and I could not find the sweet spot. (Sharp, but not biting skin) I soon realized that the cutting blade has a wobble.Even with all the screws tightened it is never fully fixed on a horizontal/vertical plane. I believe this caused the blade to be either too sharp or not sharp enough. There is not enough tension on the blades to prevent this. The trimmer is beautiful. Smaller than you may think. I really wanted this to be my go to, but it just isn’t. Will do well with fine textures of hair, but I was not able to get the desired outcome with coarse/curly hair. I hope this helps and saves somebody some cash. 6/10 trimmer
I'm honestly not impressed. When I adjust it, it's either too sharp or not sharp enough. I can't seem to find the sweet spot yet.
