Well I tried it this morning, and I'm 0 for 1. Had a 2 and a half pounder nail it just under the surface, felt like I got a good hook set... but it got off in like 5 seconds. 😫 I used a 6th Sense flipping hook, normally don't lose any on their hooks. 🤷♂️ I'll keep at it and see if it was just a fluke. 😂🤙
Appreciate your alternative rigging suggestion. Question: do you also use a keel-weighted EWG hook for subsurface presentations? And do you suggest 3/0 4/0 or larger? Thanks.
You’re very enjoyable to watch and very knowledgeable I’ve been bass fishing for 70 years & still loving it
Thanks for the toad rigging tips. Going to try it out soon 🎣
Great suggestion. I just bought some of these and your setup just makes sense. Hook out vs buried. Thanks!
Good tip, I will try it. I usually use a 5/0 swimbait hook.
Guess I need to get me some toads now! Thanks for all the juicy tips
Great information. Thanks Randy. Paul
I rig mine with an EWG and dont put the hook through the body. It just goes down under the bottom with the point of the hook up in that groove.
Nice, Randy!!
Love it. Thanks

💞Wow🤍🤍🧡🧡🤍🧡🧡🧡
How about instead, use a trailer hook to get better hook ups.
If you don't get hook ups like that isn't it your technique?
So Dumb!
Thats Cheating!
Thanks Mr. Randy. 💪
