Can we appreciate the fact that Michelle, at 60, still has the most Asian mom ever? lol She's in one of the best film this decade and her mom still has something to complain about. 😂
@@nkbujvytcygvujno6006 My post wasn't a compliment but rather that which is reality; you are not at all smart. Had your mom complained more, you would have turn our better.
@@sjc6984 Lovely to get your post. I presume you know that EEAAO almost swept the SAG awards - Michelle, Ke Huy, Jamie + Best Ensemble Cast, which is Best Picture for the SAG. I love it not only for it's significant + timely message of kindness + importance of family, but it also is a homage to Hong Kong Cinema. Have a GREAT time re-watching it !!!
I applaud Michelle for "looking old + tired" as Evelyn; the best actors are not afraid to appear on screen, without makeup. Also kudos to Jamie Lee Curtis.
Stephanie should have won the Oscar for the “best supporting actress,” in this movie. She did so much more than Jamie Lee Curtis did in this movie. I personally think she acted more than Jamie Lee Curtis.
I kind of get what you are saying, and not saying you are wrong in that Stephanie should have won it. But the award is for acting well, not acting a lot.
@@emilpettersson4509 she without a doubt acted well as well as a lot. My guess is that Curtis got the Oscar instead of her only because Hsu is way younger and the academy probably calculated that she still has lots of time to get an Oscar, while this Oscar for Curtis is almost like a homage to a great actor. A lot of Oscars are given out not necessarily for the best film or actual acting quality but for reasons of politics. But EEAaO deserved all the prizes nonetheless.
Such banter or style of speech is the norm now, it just dates you. With emoji's, texting, & mumble rap dominating their spheres; being articulate or eloquent is very passe. Get with the times. It's not an indictment of intelligence instead, rather it's more to do with an evolved minimalist style of speech that is singularly street-wise and by far much more far-reaching than speaking in the catering style of "lily-Whiteness" that you so honorably shoe-horn yourself as identifying with.
@@roamlikekane Being intelligent + eloquent is NEVER obsolete, out of style or confined to Whiteness. It is, just people like you, are too lazy/careless to invest in these qualities. And you should never end your sentences with a preposition - you probably spent most of your classes sleeping.

Michelle is truly a gift... they all are. This entire film is the gift i didn't know I needed or deserved.
Stephanie is so well spoken and articulate, intelligent

Man the style of Michelle Yeoh... 👌🏼😎
We’re not talking how the moderator looks part Bono and part Tim Burton, are we.
I didn't realize before finding this video that the BDSM guy was one of the directors.
That scene was so funny to me! The Daniels are crazy in the best way.
I think he studied theatre and wanted to be an actor at first

Best Supporting Actress - either Jamie or Stephanie is fine with me.

Love that Stephanie is intelligent + eloquent, like Michelle.
Unfortunately, Hollywood seems to prefer Awkafina, whom speaks like a 4th grader.
Awkwafina has a limited time. Stephanie has the potential for a longer career.
I think they are both great actresses.
