It's so lovely they acknowledged the crew and had them stand up to be recognized. In all my years of attending film festivals, I have never seen the director(s) acknowledge the crew so prominently, when they're so integral to the end result
"Write something you're gonna grow from. It doesn't matter who watches it or if it even gets made. You still went on a worth while artistic journey." That is honestly great advice. Gonna take that one with me haha
One of the best Q&As I've ever seen. No wonder these guys are such tremendous visionaries and screenwriters, they have a marvelous way with words. Saw EEAAO twice and bawled my eyes out both times, and somehow that even extended to while I was watching this video since I was re-experiencing it through their eyes. Long Live Daniels.
dont think ive ever seen a film convey so much emotion and comic relief in one film, within a film that demands the highest level of editing to even make sense and hold its meaning. This was my fave theatre experience, total joy. Cant wait for future Daniels projects. Want to buy anything relating this film.
Ke Huy Quan, that's dedication and brilliance. Quite imaginative and smart to hire people to help. It's ppl like you that make a movie great. Daniels, thanks for sharing about mental illness & seeing a therapist. It's good to know successful ppl go thru hard times too but still making it.
Just saw this in Mountain View, CA. Just laughing, crying, cheering the entire time. This is one of those movies that will just get better with every watching.
this cast and crew seems so nice and kind and loving. I have my hands propped on my chin and my legs kicking in the air as i'm lying down like those girls in teen movies watching them.
Right?! I've watched a few interviews because I cant stop thinking about it and its apparent how gracious they are towards each other and just how much respect and humility they all have. It makes me love it all even more. I will definitely go see it again this week.
Oh my God. I have ADHD and I said to myself as I watched the movie that I saw that in Evelyn. I am so glad to hear it confirmed and I feel so seen by this movie.
Scott, GOD BLESS YOU for posting this brother!!!! This film has REALLY left an impact and FAST becoming one of my all-time favorites - the insight in this Q&A really helped put things into perspective!! Thank you!!
Thanks to everyone who worked on this movie. I wish it all the best in the cinemas around the world. Saw an advanced screening and can’t wait to see it again when it’s widely released 👍 A must see in the cinema.
Thanks so much for making this Q&A video for us, I really wanted to come to SXSW if just for this alone and it's so comforting to see how open hearted the cast & crew are for such a special film.
My hope is for best directors, best actress, supporting actress for Stephanie and actor for Ke Huy Quan, editing, and possibly Best Picture as well 🤞🤞 Hoping for an awards sweep next year
@@ericrscastillo5358 I want them to be fair, and not suddenly give it a bunch of comedians cause Chris Rock got slapped. I haven't seen the movie yet. Everyone said Spiderman No Way Home was great, but I just found it OK.
@@putinscat1208 this is sooo much more than just a comedy, trust me. Incredibly moving, INSANE editing skills... cannot recommend enough dropping everything and going to see it immediately.
They acknowledged, respected, inspired and supported each other so fluently that it is like they became a family not bound by blood but by the love of the arts itself as a whole. There is a sense that the production of it all was carried, loved and championed by the whole team, everyone involved. A complete opposite of big budget, big studio productions where viewers are in awe of cinematics and effects, where as this movie just brings the viewers in allies where the stories finds resonance within ourselves but also gives opportunities to explore the possibilities to be better for our selves and each other. It challenges is to find again the value of empathie for each other and our selves.
I'm glad Jamie was acknowledged at the end. The two directors all and recklessly helmed a film... with its team...which is a testament to the creative, the exertive & assertive, the yielding, the loving.., and the committed beings... who found themselves in.., and out of nothing less... than a miracle. ... I guess love works.
Saw it in IMAX, 9\10. THIS is how you do a multiverse movie with emotions, laughter and philosophy. Too bad only 1 IMAX showing in all of Minnesota, dumb morbius taking the IMAX screens.
This movie is a masterpiece. It's the perfect brain-child of the heart and absurdity of the Swiss Army Man and the sci-fi and philosophy of Rick and Morty.
Jamie Lee Curtis estuvo increíble, o sea, dude mucho que fuera ella, que versatilidad, y no está luchando por protagonismo, por que ella sabe que es increíble, me deja sin palabras

Very interesting conversations, and of course it's great to hear the Daniels talk about and demystify their amazing work - Just a real shame no one thought of asking Jamie Lee to talk, she was just standing there ( trying not to be so tall ) She would have had SO much to contribute - and you can also see her wanting to, and then holding herself back -- - -
The Russo Brothers took a chance on them but I've not heard the Daniels mention them once. The Russo's have gone on record saying how they want to pay it back and support indie film makers with original ideas because they were once like them, and Steven Soderberg give them a chance when one one else would so I think they deserve huge credit for taking a chance at the very least a mention.
@@blinksstayfresh2524 My favorite of his childhood roles. Can't think of the Goonies without hearing his voice, and i can't hear his voice without thinking "50 dollar bills!!!" 🤣😭😍

so good of them!!! the silent heroes to films, they definitely don't get acknowledged enough in the industry!
Yes, and they do it consistently which shows they really meant it.

They just swept up 7 Oscars and won best picture and the Daniels won best director and writing and I am so proud of all of them.
Glorious!!
Exactly one year from this! Amazing!
This is the difference between art and a product. This was not just a job or a paycheck for the people involved, it was an experience.

A best picture winner. Best director. Best original screenplay.
It's only been two and a half days. Did you predict the future?
And a best support actor, best support actress, and a BEST ACTRESS! Finally Michelle! YES!

Can't believe Daniel Kwan is the same Daniel Kwan from the 'Turn Down For What' DJ Snake & Lil Jon music video. Haha
I had the same feeling when I walked out of the matrix and inception. Can’t stop thinking about this movie and the message at the end. 😢
@Blia Yang Avatar is very overrated in terms of story. The visuals are the only aspect that make that movie worth watching anymore.

Why did they not get them any chairs?
Maybe because they were just sitting for 2 hours watching a movie and standing can feel good and be okay?
