There are many settings for issues you bring up. (wheel & driver hands are in Gamplay then Display tab) Def try a custom ffb file for much better ffb possibilities. Also there are dirt tracks from PC2 that got converted for ams2 but waiting for update to 1.6. Thunderflash has the Wrx mod (Rx lite cars) pack that is really good as well. I like driving those more than the regular stock RC cars. I still play PC2 as well, ffb is not as good as AMS2 though. But there are many things in PC2 that I like and why I still use it. Driving with snow on tracks is fun with diff cars!
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing Yes because I like road racing too and enjoy online racing, especially the new IMSA stuff. FFB is so much better in AMS2 as well. Graphics are also better and add to the much better overall immersion I get with AMS2. I still play with PC2 often enough to appreciate its different tracks and game play though. AMS2 just has so much more to offer for me.
I actually already have this! Got this on a Black Friday Sale at the recommendation of a friend and have not played it yet due to Christmas and all the related activities. But I will soon!
waht do u think about the gravel physics compared to WRCG or RBR? also some things u can tweak that ive seen that u didnt liked 1. u can disable driver arms and wheel in gameplay/display 2. u can also enable manual pit control on gameplay/authenticity, u can assign also other options like rolling start 3. the reason the new courses seem a bit boring its because most of them are based of iconic tracks, and those are usually super boring because they live up from the track iconicness rather than from the layout itself (except some courses like the finland layouts which are extremely fun) you should try the brazilian dirt tracks, those are a bit more fun than the RX ones at least from what ive tried so far.
My brother has done well showing this off, this game still feels odd, the awd cars feel like high power RWD cars but maybe it's all in the vehicle setup?
The gravel FFB was pretty numb the last time ive tried it. Bought the RX DLC one year ago. I dont like the sound of this game in general. Best thing is RX car on Nordschleife. Missing some gears on the straits, but its really fun sliding through the turns.
Thank you so much for giving this game a 2nd chance! You've convinced me to go and grab it :) I also have a question, where would you recommend grabbing PC2 now that it's been delisted from steam?
i still think ea wrc is the best rally sim rn. the thing is the stock car tuning isn't good and imo designed for controllers. i have a blast after tuning the cars. drifting rwd feels amazing and controllable just like irl
@ i had rsf and have rbrpro but i still think the newest wrc game is better when you set it up right. the weather and road degradation alone is amazing. then there's the vr and online clubs. rbr felt realistic but it got boring quick.
@tyleruhlenberg8074 that game is what I wanted rally games to feel like. Too bad it only works if you have a system that connects all to the wheelbase...
It's been a while since I installed it. If I remeber correctly there is an FFB mod on Race department and it makes the FFB MUCH much better. There are guides on here to install it. It's a must have IMO for AMS2. This is a really good game it just needs some help and tuning.
I actually found a setting that feels pretty alright to my hands, but I'd be willing to try the mod. The cars control kinda wonky in pc2 and ams2 but it's satisfying and doesn't feel like the game is helping you turn like I have made note of in dr2.0 and dr1. I have no positive proof of it but the cars just feel like you can almost do no wrong in those games. Not sure how many agree with me.
At the moment this DLC is expensive for what you get. Sound needs improvement as well as hand brake implementation which is useless right now. For the rest not that bad. I get more fun when using the VW on a regular track going sideways endlessly. Hope it improves overtime.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing check out the downloaded FFB mod. It's a world better than stock. Really opens the FFB tunability up. I hated it umtil I found it lol.
Good to see that you let the dogs out...
Gotta let them breathe!
For free too is wild
@Warboss777 I've had some serious offers. Maybe I need to get out of the simracing buisness and onto OF.
Im gonna have to try this game out, young one. I taught you how to crash like that. I'm good.

That sounds great! I'll give it a try. I got my fov better and I figured out how to get rid of the hands and wheel. :) thank you for the info
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing Awesome.... Hopefully someday we can have all the tracks from PC2 modded to AMS2.
@labpong7562 you prefer ams2 over pc2?

1.6 elevated ams2 to the best total package sim available. Driver animation settings in gameplay section
@@KeithNelson-xo9tj i hope it can figure out how to get the awd cars to feel like awd though! :)
Just a heads up, today Monday 12-22-2024, Automobilista 2 and the DLC is on sale. Automobilista 2 is 70% off! Sale ends January 2, 2025.

@misael9154 thank you for all the info!!! I like the physics but I still have some tweaking to do. They feel pretty solid though.

Keep in mind that I'm talking about RX here in this video, not rally. :)
RBR RSF>DR1 with modded physics>DR1>DR2>WRC23
