I spent a week with @ScammerPayback at his Anti-Scam Call Center! Scammers were wrecked and victims were saved. Can't wait to do it again!

It’s actually insane to see so many youtubers and scam baiters we watch all the time in one room working together.
Just like youtubers who exploit homeless people for views, this form of content is no better. They are harassing people for views, and think they have the moral highground, when in reality these are 1st world privleged white people trying to mess with people in developing nations just trying to feed their families.
Just think of the energy in that room. Wow!

On 90% of the other videos the scammers were using Anydesk but on this sponsored ones they are only using Ultraviewer :)

What these guys are doing is illegal. I don't say it's *immoral*, but it is illegal. The government has to at least pretend to be doing things legally.
Trust me, you don't want the government to be in charge of this, they would throw a bunch of money at it and actually not do a good job. You want people who actually care. Also it's more entertaining this way and it encourages other people watching to help fight scams and look out for scams.
But it's the FTC's job to investigate scams which they do some. I'm not sure how much jurisdiction they have over scams based in other countries.
@sarahberkner Practically none at all. You can't arrest someone who lives in another country. Your only option is to reach out to that country's law enforcement and ask them to make the arrest for you.
The other issue is that the government aren't allowed to just bust down doors without solid proof that a crime is being committed, and the methods most scam baiters use to get the proof are borderline illegal.

I really wish I could do something like this for a living. Fraud and scam prevention is part of my job but the way these guys do it is how I'd really like to go about it.
My last job at a huge company, one of my roles was fraud prevention. I enjoyed it, and wished I could have done it full time, but we were cross-trained on several high level tasks.
Don’t just wish. Do more research into it. Maybe you can make it a full time thing

I'm glad that you got more assertive with the victims, they are obviously more wary after coming to terms with being scammed and they essentially need to be coaxed into doing the right thing.
It's tough. One of my jobs at my previous employer was fraud prevention. I worked for a huge company, scammers would scam (or attempt to scam) our customers. I got to work with them when they would call us. Sometimes, we had tricks that would force the victims to call us to resolve things (not gonna tell those secrets). A lot of victims weren't even trusting of me, simple midwestern accent and lost of patience.
I do my little part of wasting their time acting very naive and I take my time asking dumb questions. Love what all you heros do. ✌🏼❤️

I was getting so many scammer calls everyday (the same ones) and no tactic I tried worked. Ignoring them, cussing them out, wasting their time with fake info and they still were relentless and I had to pay $10 a month to divert the calls so I wouldn’t be harassed

I still think you should come up with a "company name" or identity so when you get a victim on the line, you can say "This is Ben and I'm with (name)." Something that gets their attention and makes you sound more professional and less like a random call out of the blue. I can't say for sure but I think it would help.

I work in an IT call center for several ISP companies. On Monday I’m going to show this video to my colleagues. This is a beautiful thing that’s happening, thank you guys so much for protecting victims from scams, and shutting down scam call centers.

I do this regularly for my friends, they then call me and merge the calls for example or give me the numbers so I annoy them with my fax-machine until my phones (8 numbers) get blocked OR the deny unknown callers...
And yes, I do have to much spare time sometimes 😂

Do you advise the victims to change their bank passwords since the scammers possibly have their passwords?
Yes, when a victim is contacted we give them all the instructions needed to protect all of their personal and financial information.

@@charlesm.1638 after we help a victim uninstall we have them change all passwords to everything accessed on their device. All part of the recovery process. An average victim call is 30 min to an hour or more. It all depends on the amount of information compromised and the point at which the scam was stopped.
