Today I'm sharing the hats I've been knitting, a new knitting pattern I've recently published and a really cool website for generating your own mosaic knitting charts! The Campgrounds Hat Pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/campgrounds-hat
I actually LOVE the way crochet mosaic looks even better than knitting and it has me super inspired to do some mosaic pillow covers or a blanket or something like that. It’s beautiful!
I am so interested in learning colorwork, mosaic knitting. Thanks for your video. I’ve been knitting a lot of hats because they are easy to knit, can be completed in a couple evenings, and… I can give them away to street persons (homeless).
Astragalus tincture and Chinese Ginseng tincture has helped me so much when my kids have gotten sick and I feel a tinge of sickness in me...keeps the symptoms from intensifying! Love the hat pattern.
Love your hat design. I'm knitting a top down hat with 1 by 1 rib. It is not flying off the needles because I'm doing a triple brim. I miss my couple day hats.
I love the hats!! I have never tried mosaic knitting . I am going to try it soon. I am putting your pattern on my to do list. Could you share with me where I can find the pattern for the green hat that you made? Thanks so much!
I like the idea of a top down hat. When I start knitting a hat I have all this vim and vigor to make a hat. Everything is going strong until I start the decreases, then things stall. I’ll have to do a top down hat now, because maybe that “oh, heck ya” energy will get me through the magic loop stage… and since it’s increases and not decreases, maybe it’ll be a breeze! Loving the mosaic patterns! I’m looking forward to trying your pattern and finding the website you used. Here’s to good health and no colds!
That mosaic chart generator is fantastic! I wish I liked wearing hats but I just don’t and I live where it’s so cold in winter (today was -17C, -30C with the wind chill and we have about 8” of snow on the ground) where you’d think I’d wear one but I don’t. I had to check out the weather in Henderson and it seems pretty warm to me to wear hats, but like I said it’s freezing here, literally, and lots of people don’t wear one 🤷🏻♀️
Isn’t it a cool tool? And wowza, it’s cold where you are. We’re definitely not that chilly, but for where we are, temps that top out in the low 60s is chilly for us desert folk. 😂
If u have a second can u tell me what budget espresso machine u have? I’ve been researching options lately. Mosaic knitting is a lot of fun. Thank u for sharing!
Hello there! I love your mosaic top down hat pattern! Id love to knit a few for my Grandboys, for Christmas. Could I knit your pattern if I've never done mosaic knitting, but have down numerous stranded or colorwork knitted items?
Yes, you totally can. It’s a pretty easy process and you may need to look up maybe one or two clarification points, but I do mention in the pattern how to read a mosaic chart and I think you probably would have no problem with it.
I've probably asked this before. What project do you recommend for a first-time knitter. I've been crocheting for 8 years and have always wanted to try knitting.
I’m glad this was helpful! And a toque is just another way to say slouchy knit hat or knit hat in general. It’s a word used in Canada (I’m not in Canada) and I feel like it’s a good one for hats that aren’t berets or beanies, but something in between.
I'm waiting for a mosaic all-over colorwork sock. I find the fabric of all-over color work to be a thick fabric that isn't flexible. I'm a tight knitter so around the ankle I add stitches and go up on needke size, so a mosaic design would be awesome
I have struggled to find the perfect hat for hubs. I am so baffled about the stitch counts. He is quite bald and blood thinners causes him to be always cold. I have made multiple hats but have yet to make one that I can say, there…..all hats will be this pattern forever more.

Hi it’s the EMT here, last night someone pooped on the stretcher so I’m very happy that I have my cup of coffee and a new WNH vid. 👍
@@GrayDIllustration omg nooooo!!! Bless you for being out there. My brother is an EMT and y’all are heroes.
Crocheter here.i love making mosaic hats. It looks so nice for being relatively simple, it is like a magic trick.
I actually LOVE the way crochet mosaic looks even better than knitting and it has me super inspired to do some mosaic pillow covers or a blanket or something like that. It’s beautiful!
@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS i mostly didn't want to have to cut after the end of each row. So if i go in a circle I don't need to.
Love those hats!!
Ooh, thank you for sharing the mosaic chart website!
You're so welcome! 😊
Will you be doing more of that Jupiter! It’s beautiful and I would love to have some! 😍

Mosaic knitting is great and so is top down. Thank you so much!

I love that you made that chart into a hat! I had the same inclination when I saw your blanket!
I got my top down book today. Can’t wait to dive into it
Your hats are beautiful

Thank you Nikki! ❤️❤️
Did you finish the hat. I liked that yellow I bet it looked great with that beautiful drops of Jupiter stash yarn. The brim pattern was interesting .
yaaay! I've bought the pattern! Can't wait to pump out a few hats over the holidays.
Thanks. Great content.
Great content🎉 thank you !
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 💖

Love the hat pattern.

That sounds so cozy though! And I can imagine it’s taking a little bit of time. 😅

What fun! Thanks Tayler 🎉🎉Iris
You are so welcome Iris!
I too, have been on a hat kick, too!!
Haven’t tried mosaic knitting as I have only been knitting for two years, but I LOVE mosaic crochet. Thinking they are similar.

Everything you’re saying here about knitting hats is 100% the reason why I love knitting them from the top down. ❤️

Love the sweater Taylor, the men on chairs. Did you make it?
Great podcast! Does the hat pattern include the one you did for your husband? My son love short beanies too. Thanks
If u have a second can u tell me what budget espresso machine u have? I’ve been researching options lately.

Love to know which expresso maker you have.

@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS thank you so much for replying, and so promptly, too!! I just purchased your hat🥰. Excited to start & give them for Christmas🎄

Could you maybe do a video on hat blocking?
I could! Great idea. 💡
I make lots of mosaic coasters
I'm going to try a top down hat! BTW, Is your sweatshirt from Newsies?
It is indeed! ❤️
Oh Newsies! That makes sense. I was wondering if it was referencing empty chairs and empty tables from Les Miserables.
What a great website, thanks. What is a tuke hat?
I’m glad this was helpful! And a toque is just another way to say slouchy knit hat or knit hat in general. It’s a word used in Canada (I’m not in Canada) and I feel like it’s a good one for hats that aren’t berets or beanies, but something in between.
@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS Aha! I would have pronounced that as Tok. Thank you for the explanation.
THE SWEATSHIRT!!! 🗞️♥️👏
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes!
Same. I feel like it’s a “if you know you know”. Seize the day!
I love it! Where did it come from?
Does anyone know what the blue top down pattern is? 🧶♥️
The pattern looked like a reindeer to me
I don't know how to do swatching in colourwork
This may have already been covered but....excuse me, is that a NEWSIES sweatshirt?!!
I've never tried mosaic knitting. Im confused by it and im sure when i finally try it, it will click.
Not knitting related but....are those the newsies on your sweatshirt? 😂
They are indeed! 😁

I understand that. I feel like you may find the process of knitting top down a little less daunting in that respect.
A few mistakes in the pattern, Taylor. They are references to needle sizes.
@@misscharlotte160 yep! This has been addressed and an updated pattern has been sent out. The update went out early this morning. Thank you. 🙌
