Chad, I'm 62 and was finding getting down and up from prone an increasing chore. I started incorporating burpees into my calisthenics/bodyweight workouts. Totally makes getting down and up from prone a breeze Sunnnnn!
Thanks for the review Chadd. I am currently looking into body armor. Unfortunately these times we live in warrant me to go this route. I never thought I'd be investing in ammo and armor. Let alone other survival supplies.
I don't miss the metal armor plate to slide inside the plate carrier inside your vest before a patrol in a humvee. These modern ones are so much lighter and cover more areas of your body but they don't last long with sweat and abuse.
We bought our kids these plates for their backpacks fortunately they never were tested Thanks for always sharing the awesome content Son Be well and God Bless 👍
I have a set of RMA plates. Very comfortable and light weight. buoyant plates are great so if you get caught in a swimming in water situation you don’t sink like a stone 😂
It's unlikely without a longer distance/short barrel/both to eat up velocity significantly. We make our ESRT, 1090 series, and Level 4 plates for that purpose. But we have built a pure polyethylene M855-rated plate as an R&D project before. It was 1.5 inches thick, and that's with hydraulically-pressed top-tier UHMWPE. It was massively thick and expensive in a market where consumers want every plate to be under 1 inch for a handful of nickels. All things considered, it was too thick, expensive, and heavy to be practical relative to the thin amount of less-expensive ceramic and fewer UHMWPE plies in the backer you need to get the same results. Kevlar and other aramids won't even come close since they're much weaker than UHMWPE. Until UHMWPE gets both stronger and cheaper, you'll continue to need ceramic to defeat M855 like in our ESRT or 1090 series plates that will also eat up M855A1, or any Level IV plate.
You have never shot green tip at center block then. It takes a lot of them to make a dent when shooting directly at the block without a plate in front of it. Even when the hurs are not at the webbing
Yeah there about 250 a plate or 350 for 2 I honestly don't know if that's good or bad. But to me if they could save your life ,we'll I guess that's pretty good 👍 Thanks for showing us Chad. Chad And Chili for President Nuff Said

Hey brother Chad, hope all is well, I tried finding that mandate freedom shirt your wearing in this video but I can't find it in your merch. Anyway I could still get one?? Love your videos, I have a lot of respect for you bro. Anyway hope I can find that shirt! It's awesome
I already have some level 3(+) plates. Would you recommend level 4? I will doing some patrol missions in Eastern Europe sometime next year. Keep up the good content!
The specs for rma level 4 says 8.3 lbs each plate so 16.6 pounds. If you train calisthenics and weighted running with a weighted vest, I do between 20 to 25 then this is light weight.
@@robertwallace4515 yeah, in total collapse you’re going to be just casually driving everywhere you need to go and won’t be waking long distances at all. Roads will be wide open

I love how Chadd automatically starts screaming when he puts hearing protection on🤣🤣🤣
Great content, guys👍
I have spoken with the owner and he is top notch. My job was R&D, RMA comes in clutch
I agree!
Keep dispensing the knowledge! Love your content!

We love the transparency, thanks Chadd
That laugh after he sent the green tip made me laugh.
That was a crazy mad scientist laugh
I use a cast iron skillet for my everyday body armor. Can also be used for self defense or cooking buttermilk biscuits in a pinch.
Cast iron is brittle. Try grandmas china instead

RMA 1165 lvl IV multicurve and $199 when they are on sale
.8" thick 6.8lbs
Those are what I have.
Great video! RMA plates are great, and comfortable in a JPC.
I use kevalar soft armor under my plates too and on the sides Chad
Hallelujah brother! Love ya!
My good friend in the gallani told me to get these a few years ago. Happy to see them get tested.
Impressive product. Equally impressive is Chadd's enthusiasm for the scientific method.
Level 3+. And level 4 stop 5.56. ABSOLUTELY GET SRMOR!!
Excellent review! And the little bits of comedy are also appreciated! 😆
Hope your healthy Chad good luck with your next event 3/7 team stay amazing.

Rock level 4 homies 🤘🏻🤘🏻
If you're a poor don't skip leg and cardio day. Poor man's level 4 isn't light. Just 50lbs of steel hanging on ya😂
I got some level IV plates from rma a few years back it ain’t that heavy. Similar weight to what I wore in the marine corps
@@gfrog8888yeah, the RMA 1155 lvl 4 is cheap and only around 8 lbs.
They have a lighter lvl 4 now too, but more expensive of course.

I purchased my both my son’s safelight. Because the department only provides concealed body armor especially for rookies!
I have a set of the rma rf2 and theyre great plates, 5.6lbs for level 3+ at $600 cant be beat
Here’s a test for you. Put a soft Kevlar behind it and see if the green tip has been slowed down enough to be caught by the Kevlar.
I was wondering the same thing.

Level 4 is best because green tips are readily available.
Green tips are trash and aren’t as capable of armor penetration as M855A1 or regular M193.

That is impressive; thanks!
I saw a video of a kid that made a plate from 21 layer fiberglass & it stopped almost everything. Can you test that?
Nice brother
I’ve got all my plates from RMA!
It would be nice if there were penetration tests for different 308 barrel lengths and bullet types.
