      Beautiful sounding too.
      Every written letter has a sound particular to the language. So
      it is very close to Devanagari/ N.Indian alphabet, but sound is uniquely Tibetan , and beautiful.

    Wow. It’s almost similar to hindi letters. I didn’t knew tibetan alphabets sounds have so much similarity with hindi😱. I will definitely try to learn this beautiful language someday

      Tibetan phonology might be different from the script they use. It may not represent the native tongue accent tone. But i dont have a clue about this. This could be a wrong statement.

    A lot similar to many Indian languages in terms of pronunciation and writing matches with Maithili, Bengali, Assamese.

    I'm in 12th grade n having difficulties in my subject (dzongkha) esply wit alphabets...

    It’s like Burmese, but the middle alphabets are missing.
    I think saying we’re the same would be obvious because we derived from the same Brahmi Alphabets.

      hi since you know how to write tibetan, could you tell me if སྐལ་བཟང་ is kesang or not. because im not sure if it’s kesang, kelsang or kalsang and i don’t even know if there’s a difference in writing.

    It's my mother toung but as I lived in an Area where Tibiten wasn't spoken much along with my mother not being able to speak the language properly herself at that time I do hope to learn it through youtube I really want to embrace my mother toungh and speak with the other people of my culture frankly.

      There are a lot of mantra in picture on the web, and sometimes you can buy card this mantra on in on buddhsit center. But not always what you want. What's the name of the mantra?

      It has its origins in India but the current script is completely different from its Indian ancestors(?).

      @@WaMo721 in the study of scripts, there is a concept of mother and daughter/derived scripts. Brahmi is the mother script and Tibetan is one of it's derivative.

    Interesting how many of these letters look like the old forms of Bengali-Assamese ones, and some of them even look like the handwritten forms today.
    Not surprising since Bengali-Assamese might be closest surviving script to Tibetan that doesn't derive from it.

    It is almost Nepali language.They have no 4th letter in each linesuch as Gha(घ,झ,भ etc.

    I am a native Russian speaker, I speak Spanish, and I can hardly distinguish some of the sounds of the Tibetan language. 😮 But I really want to learn. But it seems that I will not be able to distinguish them soon)) But I'm still hopeful

      1. Tibet is in China since emperor 乾隆 Qianlong
      2. Tibet economy is thriving because of China
      3. Theocracy never works
      4. Dalaï-lama is a pedophile
      Anyone who calls Tibet a country either has watched 80’s western propaganda or doesn’t have a proper education.
      Yet Tibetan language is part of China, taught in universities, and is respected among Han Chinese.

    this is so similar to bengali script, they are just missing every 4th letter of each borgo. we pronounce it like, ko kho go gho ngo, cho chho jo jho nyo, to tho do, dho no(murdha), to tho do dho no (danta), po pho bo bho mo, jo ro rho(do) rrho lo so sho sho(murdha) ho yo
