I actually had an experience like this, where the guy drove me in the cannon all around the map while I shot vehicles chasing us. Felt like a campaign level.
It's a legit strat on Arras as long as you don't get stuck.

Steve mc My friend and I also do it on Arras with AA guns and a halftrack. He drives and i gun down planes. Not one plane escaped the bomber busters on Arras when we’re in the lobby
I really feel like that dude should've been getting "+10 Tow Assist" for all those kills Jack got with the 6 Pounder.

When it’s connected I do think you get a driver assist.
However, you do get built stationary weapon kill assists as an engineer for machine guns and built AT guns, wouldn’t be surprised if they change the 6-pounders to stationary assists when set up on defensive positions if you’re the one that moved it.

On PS4 I do way better with stationary weapons than anything else. Something I’ve always loved about the Battlefield series and they can really help the team. Surprised how few people use all the tools in this version of BF.

It only works in a squad, I’ve towed AT guns into pretty nifty locations with my friends.
And one of the only ones that we actually got and has remained in the game and hasn't been whined about then removed/ nerfed. 🤦🏻♂️

I remember my buddy towed a cannon to an advantageous position for me on Panzerstorm and I had an elevated look on an open field. Worked really well. Those moments don’t happen often unfortunately though.

Lol I remember playing Panzerstorm on ps4 at the C flag and me and my 2 friends put of an assault of 1 tiger and 1 panzer and 4 guys on foot, 1 of my friends was using the British archer tank I was Support with the ammo box and my other friend was Assault, that was my most epic bfv moment ever

I've come to realize that watching Jack have fun is more important by far than the particulars of the game at hand.

I fell in love with the AT Cannon back in BF1 days.

Sometimes that's what I would do for entire rounds. Sit with my AT cannon or a heavy MG and just lay down suppression fire. Most players wouldn't expect it. Especially if you rotated around the map between emplacements. Plus, just lobbing shells at a distant objective was surprisingly effective. Good times.
I loved turning them around when you were attacking on operations and just raining down heavy rounds on whatever flag your team was capping. If you had a team that used the AA and AT guns properly you couldn’t lose.

step 3: get on a Cannon
step 4: laugh like a mad man while killing shit left, right and center,
step 5: victory, or defeat witch will still be a victory for you because you had a absolute blast.
@@astrodreamer946 You can kick me for it. But i enjoyed the mortar on BF1, it gave a more tactical feeling to the game, having so many gadgets and options to counter or kill enemies.

You say that like there were ever planes or tanks left unused in spawn pre-5.2. There's no difference, except now you have more tools available and buffed to deal with them.

No, just that there are now more ways than ever to destroy the vehicles. The vehicles were always constantly present, there was rarely a time a vehicle was unused, the only difference is that now you have more options than you previously had to fight back. Some of those options, like the AA for example, have been massively buffed, or had entire new stations like the 40mm's and type-100's added on the Pacific maps. There's fliegerfausts, soon to be added lunge mines, not to mention that the increased TTK alone allows the enemy's 75% of assault players survive long enough to do some dangerous damage. Planes capable of destroying tanks in 1 pass, tanks with solid AA options.
All in all it's pretty balanced, the times you do see tanks or planes dominating, it's usually down to the skill it takes to do so more than it is the vehicle itself. It only takes the slightest bit of coordination to destroy any vehicle present.

Considering the fact that it's about 57mm and using AP ammo rather than HE (like an anti-tank gun is supposed to obviously), I think it's just fine

Whenever i tow a cannon, it's usally going to be placed in front of flank routes. In maps like marshal islands it can be very effective

I had this once on Iwo Jima and once on Wake Island. Best was Iwo for me, One guy just towed a cannon and I hoped on, he then parked it near the object and we were struggling to push forward. I just kept spamming that fire button and I was taking them out one after another, it actually helped us to advance and win. Honestly with out it we would have just stalled. So awesome. Thank you to that tow guy and to me for hoping on.
That’s why the call in for the T48 tank is very underrated. It’s a stationary canon but portable, however you need 2 people to operate.

6 pounder above A in hamada, defending in conquest assault.. that was gold. Also the ones defending the stables-like buildings in the belgium map.. backed up by a squad/team that knows what they're doing are super effective weapons.

Play your game with the recoil free WW 2 guns and the ability to heal your frinds with a slap on the ass after they got burned by a flamethrower. I shot some of these guns. Nothing like the one on these games dude.
battlefield Vietnam and battlefield 2 were my favorites in the series with battlefield 3 close following up, sadly battlefield decided to become more like call of duty's new games and that ruins it, sure the game world looks good but as you said the recoilless guns just feel so terrible to fire, personally its why im gonna try out SQUAD and hell let loose to see if they are any better

If you look at the killfeed, you can see that there was another guy named GOPSTOP absolutely popping off with the 6-pounder as well.
If you place it in the bushes to the left by the beach, you can spend that entire sector shutting down fishing boats and tanks up the roads.

The cannon on Narvik conquest, from C, facing the allies spawn is OP as hell. If you have a squad up there, or a light tank with you as anti infantry that gets close, the enemy is a really hard time getting to C.
