what a different way of living car week. i never saw traffic, was at all the parties, never ventured into crowds, hit laguna seca and quail and the hotels.. calmly saw that i needed to see. not one youtuber or kid with a camera.. definitely no cops. amazing how much breadth car week offers.
My grandpa refused to drive faster than 60, as a kid cars never ever went that fast and as an adult it scared the shit out of him. In the 80s he got a ticket for doing 35 in a 65 (freeway) lmao
Got ticketed for going slow over a intersection where it dipped and my truck was too low to clear, keep in mind it was 2 am and there was no one else but the cop

Gordon..that’s a commercial Highway patrol inspection truck..they usually for commercial vehicles and they have all there tools and mobile weight ramps to check weight on any commercial vehicle…just to give you a heads up and if you want to let your viewers know..when ever you see one of those Highway patrol trucks or any Highway patrol officer wearing blue police suits..those are the ones that will actually get on the floor and go under and over your vehicle to find any infractions or anything they can write you a ticket for..they wear that blue uniform to show they are inspectors and that they aren’t afraid of getting dirty..just an FYI..love the content!!

Inside the camper shell are portable scales and other devices used to make sure commercial vehicles (semi's and whatnot) are in compliance. Making sure they are not overweight, and checking tires, brake levels and lights. Have been pulled over and inspected by them a few times.

You do realize california just passed legislation to ban all gas cars by 2035 and they are starting the implementation of gas cars next year right? They are starting with certain types of cars and will ban all of them by 2035.. That is unless people in California start voting with their brains.

I’ve gone to car week for about 6-7 years now. I’ve notice the last 3 years there’s only been ONE particular cop that will ruin the whole downtown Vibe. It’s a short white male cop on the electric bike. Almost every time you see a car pulled over or a cop giving a parked car a ticket it’s him. Either he hates car week or hates his life. Another thing I notice this year going to downtown almost every night that he’s the main one that shuts down everything. There’s been numerous times where he’s not around and everyone surrounding one particular area of the street having a good time watching cars while there’s other cops around us directing traffic and making sure no one’s gets in the middle of the street. All of a sudden the dbag on the bike comes out of no where and starts yelling at everyone to get onto the sidewalk and totally kills the vibe. Idk if anyone else notices this but this guy is really destroying the atmosphere of car week for downtown. This guy needs to go.

You need to come out to woodward dream cruise in Detroit next year. So much better and diverse. You can burnout almost anywhere you want and that's with a ton of cops all over just watching. Roads are completely covered in black marks for many miles Pontiac all the way past Royal Oak. Definitely a great experience if you haven't been before.

For the most part these senior residents don't like car week - they are all for golf's PGA Pro Am but not car week. We already lost Exotics on Cannery Row to Seaside. We don't want to lose the rest. Nobody wants to go to car week in Fresno, Gilroy or Merced. Best advice; switch off the open exhaust valve for the week, leave the car at the hotel after 8pm, then smile and nod the rest of the time....
