- Richard is again ready to share his Elite Sniper insight with us.
Former Elite U.S Army sniper Richard Maynes is back on Experts React! He is ready to embark on a new mission and this time we will be deployed to South Pacific island of Tanoa.
ARMA 3 is an open-world, realism-based, military tactical shooter video game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows in September 2013, and later announced for macOS and Linux in August 2015.
ARMA 3 takes place in the mid-2030s, on the islands of Altis and Stratis in the Aegean Sea, and the South Pacific island of Tanoa. The islands feature photo-realistic terrain and water environments. Altis is the largest official terrain in the ARMA series with ground area covering approximately 270 square kilometres (100 sq mi). The smaller island, Stratis, expands over an area of 20 square kilometres (7.7 sq mi).
You will see gameplay on different battlefields available in Arma 3. There will be tactical analysis, shooting sequences and recce (night and day).

Good old arma3 running at 20fps
20 fps ?
The best i can do is 10
@@biscuit4951 10 fps ? The best I can do is 3
@@PizzaaPandaa 3 FPS? I can’t even download it
Nothing like rolling in humvees into the city with planes flying above and getting that sweet powerpoint level framerate
If your.pc can run mw2019 with ray tracying at max settings, it still can't run Arma 3
Thanks for reacting to some of my footage, pleasure as always!
Pretty stoked to see some of your footage on here
The game play is yours? Nice
man I miss your arma 3 vids :/
o7
Occasionally this channel picks an excellent source for their footage, and luckily this vid was one of those occasions. Admittedly I haven't been watching over the last year or so, but you guys over at ShackTac rock, hope you're all well.
I really like this guy. As prior military, I was weapons loader on jets so i never got combat experience but learning from him, israel, cameron, and the marine dudes, its very fascinating. Thanks for the likes! Let's keep it going!
thank you for your service!
20 lol try 6
Thank you for all you did brotha
Thank you
I'm curious how loading an a_10 warthog feels like.
i really just did 25 pushups. thanks Richard
I did them as well lol
same feels😌👍
I am on a bus, I couldn’t do them. :c
Broke down after 19 ... my arms just locked in place.
@@noragami6818 you can do knee push ups wall push ups incline push ups to get better at regular push ups
I did the 25, now i gotta 200 more and 200 squats, for the rest of the day
Can i do my 25 after since I just ate, sir 😄
@@cracyzero666rat No.
@@joakimberg7897 what you mean no, sir 😄
@@cracyzero666rat don't put Up with excuses, that way you'll most likely postpone your task and eventually never do it.
So stop being lazy, get down AND GIVE ME 25 RIGHT NOW! YOUR ENEMY WON'T CARE IF YOU'VE JUST EATEN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!
Hopefully this kind of comment motivates you as it motivates me.
@@joakimberg7897 sir, yes sir
Yes, this comments will help me and hopefully someone else, 👍
Damn Richard gives the most positive vibes of any former military personnel ive ever seen!
He had quite people-oriented job.
Bad jokes aside: indeed, he does.
Dude is angelic.
"stop and do 25 push ups"
*me eating
well cant disrespect a high rank
*blows heavy chunks after*
I fucking did the same
was about to take sip of coffee, but that can wait :D
@@krulikzbyszek3718 I'd be taking a bathroom break right after
@@endingworlds I got done with the push ups and choked on my food right after 😔
Did this guy just sorta casually explain how a RPG melted his friend like it was nothing?
He said that its buddy is in prone position. So he might survive.
@@GeneralRG Lets be real, he was fucked
He probably saw a lot of guy dying in a 9 year active service...it’s a trauma of course but he get used to deal with these things he saw in the war
yeah, even if he survived it, he was not okay..
@@GeneralRG if his mate was in the RPG blast zone then he's fucked, the grenade explode outward so rip
Me: about to eat cereal
Richard: now do 25 pushups
Me: well shit....
Still blows my mind that Richard doesn’t own guns himself after he’s been out of Military and Contract service. He’s such a badass dude!
its easier to deal with the repercussion of a firefight when you dont see it was your bullets that killed another man, not so much when you are deciding each kill/murder. it weights much heavier. im glad he still has such a positive atitude while still being proud of his service.
Thanks brother
@@rmaynes8317 no thank you! God bless you and your loved ones good sir.
Is m24 his gun when he joined military?
My father was in the Military and he vowed never to touch another gun because he believe it is the devil himself.
damn man ok 25 pushups coming your way
Those 25 pushups really found my limits hahaha, love this man, if he tells me to exercise i'll do
just did pushups because of him after starting doing weights due to unbreakable lol
I think I just need him for motivation everyday. The Man can really make you do 25 Pushups.
Just upload his videos everyday, I'll get Fit in No time.
To bad I decided to eat before watching this video, oof
I actually did the 25 push ups and now this video feels like a reward. Not bad
I've been waiting for this video for a while and now im so happy
I'm glad we have dsylexci footage, guys more realistic than drewski's "milsim" videos love his content but it just isn't there yet
Hard agree. Drewski's content is enjoyable, but its more set up for theatrics than true realism.
@@ThatOneSniper wait, drewski is a set up??
@@rehannoor4961 pretty sure he said it in one of his older videos. The missions arent entirely set up, but there are set moments
@@ThatOneSniper I dont think drewski was ever going for full milsim, most Arma groups find a comfortable middle ground for their players between milsim and fun. Some like more milsim than others.
@@ThatOneSniper I mean, yeah that's part of making missions. I often set up or make fun events happen during game play. Sometimes its cool set pieces with jets overhead, tanks driving through a wall like the kool-aid man, or an ambush. Sometimes I chase them while they are headed to the exfil with a technical or a chopper. I'm pretty sure my group would strangle me if I made them play a mission where they sat on an overlook for 4 hours and the most dangerous thing they saw was a particularly grumpy goat.
Due to request I'm still here so:
Day 31 of asking for a robotics expert to react to Titanfall 2
Square mass law or the likes makes the titans unable to function
They will probably see you recommendation day 100 and made an expert react to the tutorial :)
That would be really cool, I think BT-7274 would be real interesting for them to break down and look at
Robotics Expert AND AI Expert (or something of the sort) react to Titanfall 2
@@Kounnah will update accordingly thankyou 👍
Seeing Dslyecxi on the HUD gave me a bit of an 'Alec Guinness as Obi Wan Kenobi' moment. Now *that* is a name I haven't seen in a long time... a long time...
And from the looks of things, he's still kicking ass with the ShackTac crew. Damn, bruh. Mad respect for keeping the community together for what must be close to two decades, now!
Easily my favourite person to do these videos. We need more!
I'd say more Dyslexsy's arma III gameplay with Richard reacting on it. He's a great dude
10 minutes is never enough for this guy, we need more. And I'm glad that there's finally pro footage.
Dude it's 2200 where I'm from and I was just chillin, now I had to do 25 push ups. But I did, because you are cool, and I enjoy the videos with you alot.
Love it when y'all have the experts react to Arma 3!
9:01 That voice crack lmao
lmao I dont remember sounding that bad
@@theShermanator What map is that? Thanks
Thanks to Arma for not cutting corners on gameplay. You can't cowboy your way though it at all.
Whoever decided to get Dslyecxi's footage is a god and deserves to be named chief footage selectioner of Gamology
So glad they showed the ACE system
"this is how it is in real life" as the sniper knocks over a wall.
Nice to have this guy back again!
You guys should have the sniper, the two soldiers and the pilot on this channel all play arma together and watch how they operate together!!!
The energy with this guy is always too good.
I wanna see gameplay footage of vets like him on a team communicating and working together that would be cool
Things i love bout richard is he is so humble, also funny, lol
Richard is the best 👏👏👏
The scope appeared to be a PSO on a SVD (7.62x54R) rifle.
Good job finding footage that accurately portrays the tactical side of the gameplay spectrum
it's impressive how knowledgeable this guy is
That scope on the gun right at the end is a PSO-4. It is a Russian optic with a 4x magnification and fits all AK/SVD/SKS variants. It's the standard marksman optic for their army. It is a little aged at this point, but they are slowly phasing it out for newer, better optics. Very reliable though.
PSO-1, which us 4 power. But there's all kinds of PSO-1M2, PSO-1-1 etc in Russian use
I love this guy, chill and respectful
Wow his reaction and running comment was engrossing! Captiving description of his own experiences. He must have amazing stories to tell
When Richard tells you to do 25 pushups. You do 25 pushups!
Damn this is first time someone command me to do pushup before watching it. He's my favorite guy now so be it. Lets goo 26 pushup.
I love this series so much! It's fascinating hearing about how these portrayals compare to real life situations. Keep them coming!
The man who I seeked finally layed down his camo and came out. love this guy.
Awesome! Love the energy. And he is absolutely right. ArmA 3 is a fantastic game. So much more enjoyable than other generic shooters like CoD. Requires a lot more thinking, planning, and coordinating.
comparing action shooter with milsim? you are not really smart, yeah?
Diffirent strokes for diffirent folks, not everybody likes milsim not everybody likes arcady shooters no need to be dissrespectfull
@@MrVoland44 I mean you're the one being aggressive and narcissistic about it
My to do list:
25 push ups: completed
Reaction: completed
Food to eat: redacted
So glad that this guy is back! I missed his videos
Richard is so Dope! Love Watching all of the episodes he's in! Always is Watching a Good Game too!
Finally he is back !!! Was w8ing for his reviews !!! The level of professionalism he shows in his reviews is breathtaking !!!
I was actually excited to try 25 pushups and I only got 5 in before my arms gave out :( I’ll try the rest later
That's pathetic if you can't do at least 10 reps
@@phil_5430 come on encourage him to do more not hit him while he is down
Do it slowly. It takes months to push for 10 or 15 push ups. And of course, when you push up exercise, rest for 2 days. And go back if you want.
Whenever I haven't done them in awhile, my arms always get tired long before anything else. Try 5 closer grip, 5 slightly wider, back to narrow. Not like... diamonds (those are hard) but shoulder width then slightly wider than shoulder. Gives those small muscles a short break.
@@GeneralRG It should only take a normal person 9 weeks to go from doing 5 push-ups to at least 40.
In case anyone was wondering what the original optic of the Dragunov 8:37, it'd be the PSO-1 (Прицел Снайперский Оптический.
So if you're curious as to the optics that SVD had on it, likely it was the PSO-1 or a varient of that optic.
Richard, you're a legend.
Damn we got Dyslexci gameplay? hell yes.
1:30 of video and the proper selection of footage shows: Richard is happy, the watchers are happy. It does really matter, Gamology.
"This is pretty realistic" as he shoots thru a guy and takes down a 30ft brick wall xD. Love Arma and awesome video!
It's amazing to me that in only like 3 videos I've seen with this guy I like him enough to actually do the 25 pushups without hesitation
Did 25 push-ups just because. If only more people reminded us to do push-ups 🤣
Maybe one of the spec ops guys can react with him and react to clips where a gameplay contains both sniper and assault guy? Idk if there is one but I really hope there’d be one 🙏🏼
I missed this guy so much, good to have this guy back he is amazing
Have martial artists react to all the takedowns in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst!!!
And they can use this video for all the fighting footage ua-cam.com/video/tHfPHYcPaUc/v-deo.html
agreed
Yes
Then also recreate moves with GoPros strapped to their heads.
I love his military stories more reactions from him pls
This is what I like to see. Experts watching and analysing solid game play, not the runny runny shooty shooty tripe we see on twitch all the time. These guys have real expertise that most will never experience. Give them something juicy to break down and digest
We really need more of this guy.
Imagine this guy and other guy the captain i dont remember his name collab dang its gonna be bad ass
thing about arma is that it is designed from the ground up to be as realistic as you play it. the closer to real life you know how to react, the greater your chance of success.
Still one of my favorite games of all times.
Been in several player made missions with tons of people and trust me, it's amazing when everyone is working as a unit and not fucking around.
Videos with Richard are great, very informative. Now I need to play Arma 3...
defenitely looking forward to more ArmA 3 reviews, absolutely my favourite game
still to this day, i enjoy the shit out of this game. most realistic shooter ive touched. i hope bohemia plan for more.
Nice to see Richard Maynes again 😊
Always fun to see you guys cover arma stuff.
8:48 How does he not know about the iconic PSO-1
He once mentioned that most of his equipments when he was in service were just standard military issues.
He prolly is not a gun nut or gun expert, but I'm not sure about that.
An excelent sniper instructor none the less. One of those folks that you really enjoy listening to even if you are stranger to military technicals, just like me.

Literally my favorite game ever. Still play it all the time. Can’t wait for 4!
So yeah I’m outta shape. 25 was tough. Big L for my self-confidence today
Oh man i missed this guy
Glad to see the arma videos back, make react / rate mods or dlcs
Great episode!
Wished the background music to be a little bit quieter though.

This game has the potential to become one of the greatest if not the best
Love this guys energy! been binge watching all these video whilst at work lol Gamology is easily becoming my fave channel on youtube! top work to everyone
Did the 25 out of respect . Love the professional insights.
Can we get this sniper, SFs, and the Marine dudes to do a collab session?
When do we get to see these guys react to proper milsim in Arma with Ace Medical and CasReps, Long Range communication using proper callsigns, ICs & 2ICs commanding their sections properly? That's where these guys can give real insight and juicy reactions.
Great job on this one
Thank you for your service Richard
Arma is a military sim. Of course it's accurate.
Is sad that sometimes they react saying "This game isnt realistic" to something a player did. Apart from the glitches, and some obligatory usage of mods, yeah! its a milsim. Even the base engine is used to train soldiers.
1st Infantry? Hell yeah, I was in 1st Engineers, 1st BDE
Good To Hear That
Love arma, and this guy's awesome, extremely knowledgeable and respectable. Great vid
He made so many people do 25 push-ups because he said so
I need him at every work out
Every time military folks are on Gamology, you know shit is gonna be good. P.S. To anyone who sees this comment, check out the channel Savage Actual. That channel is run by Patrick and Jason, who were on this channel a few times before creating their own. They make some great content.
We have waited for this for soo long omg‼️
Sniper boi back in town💚💚💚👨✈️👩✈️
You guys should find an A-10 pilot and have hum react to Arma
The main man is back, yes!
The scope he was using that Richard didn't know was the Zenit-Belomo PSO scope. Russian scope, fits on things like the SVD and the Mosin
This guy is finally back
every time he says alright, take a shot
