Don't make excuses about drives, and what not... just get the job and the income that comes with it no matter what. That just buys time to find something else. Keep it pushin'... don't be easily discouraged. You'll get there 1 step at a time dude!
@@rudedogii No job, no money. Some income is better than none. Gotta have long -term thinking in this job market. It's not a picky-applicant situation right now. In fact, every day it's narrowing. Best bet is to get in somewhere, and get money rolling in so you can live to fight another day. Good luck though... you'll get it figured out.
@@rudedogii Don't get pissed bro.. I'm saying you're making excuses about taking jobs because it includes a commute...or the pay is low.. etc. if that's the ONLY job you can land, go for it.. or don't. It's your finances dude... You put this out there, I'm just telling you from experience.. if you don't have a job, money isn't flowing, regardless of how much you're making. Do what you do though..
Here's a thought Teamster member 50.5 years and 42 .5 at same job drove Forklift at a cold storage whse big company and enjoyed it .Things will work out for you 🤔
I’m going through this too been unemployed since June unfortunately with limitations due to my disability the scope of jobs I can physically do is limited. I really just need a job that covers medical my previous job was perfect
Not sure if they’re still hiring but a rough plumbing company in el Montie was looking for a rough guy frank marrone and sons plumbing. Decent size shop big jobs.
Thanks I really appreciate that but at 61 years old, I really don't want to go back into construction. I've also run work as a foreman and you don't sleep good at night thinking about the next day. @@DerekHuff-rp3yx

With gas prices here in SoCal at over $5/gal it doesn't make much sense to drive too far for a part-time job.

Hey Rudy, why not a non union plumbing shop?
I've worked half my career non-union. I go where the work is. The majority of plumbing work I've found online is for "Service Plumbers".
