Im a gorJess and Taenganger, but I think Taeyeon can hit higher notes than Sica. Taeyeon always use her normal voice in singing specially in higher notes and doesn't use falcetto. When she uses her falcetto voice, she can hit higher notes, higher than F#5 unlike Sica. Sica has a thin voice that's why when she hit higher notes, it cannot be as powerful as Taengoo. However, they're both awesome and has amazing voice. Keep up the Good Work :)

I love all snsd's main vocal's voices. Maybe Jessica have widest vocal range but from what i see Taeyeon can hold the high note longer. Tiffany's voices can fit any song. she can rap and stuff. Seohyun, she's perfect with her harmonies. Sunny! can't left her out, she's really great. well she can use her voices in many different ways. M not an expert in singing nor m ranking them but they're all Amazing. really.

yes, tea & sica. both of them has a advantage and weakness,tae vocal more powerful with energy and look more stable,but when she reach in high note,the more higher she reach the note the more she strain need to bear make she look a bit like scream(but its not scream, its the way how she reach high note), meanwhile sica vocal is soft and thin make her easier to reach high note with less strain but the weakness the higher she reach the note the more her loses her power energy due her vocal is thin
It's true her notes above D5 aren't always well-supported, and it's not healthy for the chest voice to be pushed up any higher than that often, but in spite of that, her singing appeals to me the most. I think she's got great tone quality, her vibrato is natural, and let's not forget her ability to integrate emotion in her voice as well. It isn't about how high you can sing, tbh, but the fact that you can move the listener by making them feel emotion. That's why I love listening to Taeyeon.
That high note in "I'll write you a letter" that Sunny hit is a C#6. While Jessica's highest note (in that opera video) is a D6. So the difference is only half note lol.

Yes you are correct. Especially in the E5-F#5 area. Though that E5 at 4:53 was REALLY good. Proper placement, good support, breath coordination. I think it was resonant.

I'm sure Taeyeon could go even higher then these notes she just hasn't show it. Taeyeon's and Jessica's vocal coach once was said that 'Jessica can do vocal exercises and even go higher then what the piano reaches'
i think only her has a good technique and consistent either in lower, meddle or high note.. but in high not sometimes look down and look she push the vocal to reach high vocal.. but so far in snsd she is the best i think..

Whereas Taeyeon has a heavier voice, she will have more difficulties hitting those higher notes. But techniques is also a factor. If Taeyeon improves on her techniques even more, she will have less difficulties with the higher notes (even less than Jessica). Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that Jessica has better techniques.
em maybe.. bcoz i have hear jessica singing in live during perform legally blonde song title "so much better",i found jessica actually can reach high vocal very well and easier especially line in ending song.. sunny also one of snsd member has a good vocal.. but poor to her bcoz she always get less line.. i hope she will be reform next sub unit with jessica.. its must be awesome..
