Taeyeon and Jessica back then always performed solo special stages because they are amazing vocalist. But that all stopped and can I just say TTS's Holler comeback a lot of the high notes seem to be given to Tiffany. Can we also get a Taeyeon and Jessica duet. Like the old days. Please!
I have to be honest, when I first got to know SNSD, I thought Jessica was not a good singer and she ranked number five in my personal preference. I listened to Run Devil Run's mr removed video, the first thing clicked in my mind was why the company allocated the main part to Jessica because she sounded weak. However, as time progesses, I am now a hardcore fan for Jessica^^ I really wish that Jessica and Taeyeon could harmonise again in th future...

They have done it before with other groups too, and I believe Kim Youngmin had said that this band had reached their potential and wouldn't go any further. Well something along those lines. But basically SM shifted their attention to newer groups and TTS. So all other members became irrelevant and had to find their own niche
Personally for me, the most important point on reaching high notes is that the listener must be able to listen comfortably without any second thoughts or worrying that the singer may not be able to reach the note!
Jessica is amazing! Her high notes, adlibs and vibrato added lights to SNSD's songs... However, her singing skills are often underrated and SM tends to bury her talent. She said she didn't lose her passion for the enterntainment industry, so I look forward to seeing her shine again on stage. =)
i've noticed jessica has gotten less adlibs to sing lately in their releases, which is a bummer because Jessica has better control over her high notes than tiffany and seohyun who have gotten more adlibs since tts.

I absolutely miss when Jessica and Taeyeon were the ones who did the ad-libs. Their voices together are perfection. But I also agree ever since TTS made their debut the TaeSic ad-libs and harmonies disappeared. But I feel like in their most recent mini album Mr. Mr. if you listen carefully to each song you can actual,y hear the TaeSic ad-libs and harmonies. At the moment I don't remember but there is even a song on there with strictly Sunny and Jessica ad-libs.
I love the way Sica's voice is so harmonized with Taeng's voice. Yeah, maybe there are people out there that love Taeng's voice with Tiffany's. But i don't think it will be as perfect as TaengSic sing together. Their voice just meant to be together.
you can hear that she changes how she sings depending on the song and I love that so much. singing a cute song, she doesn't sing the same way she does when singing a song like Heaven. I love her so much.
I feel like SM neglects Sica & her voice SO much. They've given her less and less parts and even adlibs over the years, especially since TTS. She's the main vocal but the lead vocals get more parts than her and get to sing more notes than she does. Her voice is really amazing, if they helped her train more she could start using her whistle register ('super head voice'). Her voice is of a higher pitch so naturally, she can hit high notes. I feel like there's a fine line between singing really high pitched and screaming and when Sica made those 'dolphin screams' in Horror Movie Factory it just confirmed that she can obtain a crazy vocal with mad control. Honestly, sometimes I wish Sica would take a break form soshi and start training her voice with someone who sees her potential. I don't get why SM isn't focusing on her more, I hope they don't let her talent go to waste.

With Jessica gone, i can totally accept Tiffany being rank2 in terms of singing. When SNSD is still a young group Tiff's rank is bellow Sunny, BUT as time passes Tiff works really hard to improve her singing skills even up to now. Though i should say she's still below my princess Sica's unique voice, Sica can harmonize and compliments Taeyeon's daebak voice when they both sing together, and that's a fact that even a hardcore Tiffany fan shouldn't deny.

Sometimes i feel like jessica can hit higher notes than taeyeon/tiffany. she has a higher pitch but people don't notice it because taeyeon's voice is strong and full of power but jessica has a sweet and delicate voice. Nowadays SM is giving most of the high notes to tiffany because tiffany has a stronger and fuller voice than jessica. To be honest, Tiffany's high notes are to forced. I prefer jessica and Taeyeon!! But sad because jessica is not in the group anymore...😭😭😩 but I like how sunny can reach high notes to because it sounds way more natural and not too forced like Tiffany's high notes.
Jessica has a lighter tone to her voice, that's what made it seem more effortless for her. In reality Taeyeon and Jessica can hit those notes equally good with a decent technique.

Take note that not only singers that can sing high notes such as Jessica and Taeyeon are considered great singers, but singers that have mid-range to lower vocals sing notes just as good. Tiffany's personality is outspoken and out there while Jessica is more reserved. Tiffany does let Jessica talk but I don't think Jessica wants to. Whereas singing, I totally agree. I prefer the age of Gee and Genie where Jessica gets most of the ablibs and high notes with Taeyeon but you can also get a bit of Tiffany. Now, it's just too much. During 'The Boys' promotions I believe it was on GMA where the hosts made comments on how she speaks good English to which Tiffany replied she was born in America and Jessica tries to say it as well but the host cuts her off and only engages in conversations with Tiffany despite Jessica also trying to speak. Tiffany's voice after her voice nodules operation was just no longer suited for all the high notes she gets. SM just never gave Jessica the chance she deserved after The Boys era ended.

Taengsic my ultimates in SNSD ♡ (Sica first) They're the best two in vocals and singing for me, more than Fany and Seo. They both have amazing voices that stand out and they actually have techniques on how they deliver their notes, you know? Like more than the others. It's how they can gradually sing higher and stuff. For me though, they aren't always above the other, they have their own style that their voices suit to. People argue about how Taeyeon has a fuller voice than Sica but even though it is fuller, Sica's suits other songs. I strongly super definitely think only Sica and Tae are fighting over the top. Sica is deft. Higher than Fany for me. She has amazing control, because she honed her skills since a long time, predebut since she was chosen as the main/ish singer. And yeah I miss the Taengsic harmonization and ad-libs :( not personal to TiSeo love them all~

Jessica has always been my ultimate bias. And SNSD has been my favorite girl group ever since 2009 (which was when I got into KPOP). It extremely saddens me how I have never or will never see them perform live all together. Watching this video made me cry just because hearing their songs as OT9 makes the song itself complete. No matter what, people can't deny how genuine the soshi bond was. Even if there was tension between a couple of group members, you can't take away the years and great memories they have had all together. I don't know about you guys, but I'll always be a SONE no matter what. I support SNSD and Jessica 101%!

Not true. The only reason why Sica didn't join the subunit is because all the other members, including Sica, were doing other activities at the time. Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun explained this in interviews.

Snsd lost the character in their songs without the Jessica effect. Probably becoz Jessica's voice has a unique high pitch character that is easy to recognize it was hers. As example, TTS is a power house, everyone has a part in the high notes but pretty much the style is the same.. This is the reason Jessica and Taeyeon are the main vocals of GG. They fill each other, Taeyeon is more richer and full while Jessica is more thin and light. Taeyeon may support her notes higher than jessica and more consistent in resonant but she's more chesty while Jessica is more balance to heady which help her to reach higher notes.
jessica can hit high notes easier but WITHOUT POWER. unlike taeyeon who has so much power in her voice yet she is able to hit high notes too. that is why taeyeon is no.1. get that jessica fans!

You're kinda lucky I happened to come across your comment b/c I'm a music ed. major/voice teacher. There IS a dif. between a powerful voice & a high voice. To generalize, lower voices tend to be more powerful, warm, built with volume, & belting power (like Taeyeon & Ailee). The higher you go, the lighter & brighter your voice is. Altos/mezzos don't sing high. They sing "BIG." Sopranos like Jessica & IU don't necessarily sing big. That's just a quick generalization. I hope that helps explain it.
Reason why they don't sing the Original ITNW. 1. Too many highnotes at the end and no one can cover it up except Taeng. 2. Taeyeon can't cover Sica's part cause starting bridge till the end chorus she's already doing adlib continuously. 3. Jessica's adlib is too high for the other 7 members. 4. The harmonization of TaengSic during chorus will be a big hole. Jessica and Taeyeon has the highest range in SNSD also in vocal line. Yes Tiffany can hit some of Jessica's part, but it sound crack. It sound more like a scream or shout. And besides, no one can cover Taeyeon's highnotes except for Jessica. The others can cover Jessica's part but it's all falsetto. Or they have to use the cute voice to reach Sica's range.

Taeyeon Jess and Seobaby are the main vocalist from the start. Now Taeyeon Tiffany and Seohyun are the main vocalist I think why Tiffany has some strains is because she had a throat surgery that's why it damaged her voice, but not completely. Seohyun has a very angelic voice that I love, but her vocals or high notes are not as high as Tiffany, Tiffany has a husky voice, and a higher note Voice Seohyun Taeyeon(Jessica) Tiffany Sunny Hyoyeon(The only problem is SM is not using Hyo's voice) Yoona(I love her voice!! I absolutely miss when Jessica and Taeyeon were the ones who did the ad-libs. Their voices together are perfection. But I also agree ever since TTS made their debut the TaeSic ad-libs and harmonies disappeared. But I feel like in their most recent mini album Mr. Mr. if you listen carefully to each song you can actual,y hear the TaeSic ad-libs and harmonies. At the moment I don't remember but there is even a song on there with strictly Sunny and Jessica ad-libs.

I feel like SM neglects Sica & her voice SO much. They've given her less and less parts and even adlibs over the years, especially since TTS. She's the main vocal but the lead vocals get more parts than her and get to sing more notes than she does. Her voice is really amazing, if they helped her train more she could start using her whistle register ('super head voice'). Her voice is of a higher pitch so naturally, she can hit high notes. I feel like there's a fine line between singing really high pitched and screaming and when Sica made those 'dolphin screams' in Horror Movie Factory it just confirmed that she can obtain a crazy vocal with mad control. Honestly, sometimes I wish Sica would take a break form soshi and start training her voice with someone who sees her potential. I don't get why SM isn't focusing on her more, I hope they don't let her talent go to waste.

With Jessica gone, i can totally accept Tiffany being rank2 in terms of singing. When SNSD is still a young group Tiff's rank is bellow Sunny, BUT as time passes Tiff works really hard to improve her singing skills even up to now. Though i should say she's still below my princess Sica's unique voice, Sica can harmonize and compliments Taeyeon's daebak voice when they both sing together, and that's a fact that even a hardcore Tiffany fan shouldn't deny.

Sometimes i feel like jessica can hit higher notes than taeyeon/tiffany. she has a higher pitch but people don't notice it because taeyeon's voice is strong and full of power but jessica has a sweet and delicate voice. Nowadays SM is giving most of the high notes to tiffany because tiffany has a stronger and fuller voice than jessica. But I don't really like how tiffany sang the high part in mr mr, it sounds like its strained.... And ever since tts, jessica was in the shadow again. During 'The Boys' promotions I believe it was on GMA where the hosts made comments on how she speaks good English to which Tiffany replied she was born in America and Jessica tries to say it as well but the host cuts her off and only engages in conversations with Tiffany despite Jessica also trying to speak. Tiffany's voice after her voice nodules operation was just no longer suited for all the high notes she gets. SM just never gave Jessica the chance she deserved after The Boys era ended.

They're the best two in vocals and singing for me, more than Fany and Seo. They both have amazing voices that stand out and they actually have techniques on how they deliver their notes, you know? Like more than the others. It's how they can gradually sing higher and stuff. For me though, they aren't always above the other, they have their own style that their voices suit to. People argue about how Taeyeon has a fuller voice than Sica but even though it is fuller, Sica's suits other songs. I strongly super definitely think only Sica and Tae are fighting over the top. Sica is deft. Higher than Fany for me. She has amazing control, because she honed her skills since a long time, predebut since she was chosen as the main/ish singer. And yeah I miss the Taengsic harmonization and ad-libs :( not personal to TiSeo love them all~

Jessica has always been my ultimate bias. And SNSD has been my favorite girl group ever since 2009 (which was when I got into KPOP). It extremely saddens me how I have never or will never see them perform live all together. Watching this video made me cry just because hearing their songs as OT9 makes the song itself complete. No matter what, people can't deny how genuine the soshi bond was. Even if there was tension between a couple of group members, you can't take away the years and great memories they have had all together. I don't know about you guys, but I'll always be a SONE no matter what. I support SNSD and Jessica 101%!

Not true. The only reason why Sica didn't join the subunit is because all the other members, including Sica, were doing other activities at the time. Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun explained this in interviews.

Listening to this, I feel like.. Her high notes, adlibs, harmonizing even her voice, is trully a lost.. A jewel will be missed by all fans.. Snsd lost the character in their songs without the Jessica effect. Probably becoz Jessica's voice has a unique high pitch character that is easy to recognize it was hers. I listened how the others sings her parts... It was good but the song itself was kinda flat. I dont know,, i feel like the song needs a character. Snsd needs to go back to the studio and practice different kind of style of vocal, we have 4 vocalist (Taeyeon, Tiffany, Sunny, Seohyun) but their vocals are pretty much the same style. As example, TTS is a power house, everyone has a part in the high notes but pretty much the style is the same.. Its okay in 3 group format but for a 8 format group, it needs more range of vocal to make snsd interesting and the song memorable.. Not only the dance but the song itself IS INTERESTING. You're kinda lucky I happened to come across your comment b/c I'm a music ed. major/voice teacher. There IS a dif. between a powerful voice & a high voice. To generalize, lower voices tend to be more powerful, warm, built with volume, & belting power (like Taeyeon & Ailee). The higher you go, the lighter & brighter your voice is. Altos/mezzos don't sing high. They sing "BIG." Sopranos like Jessica & IU don't necessarily sing big. That's just a quick generalization. I hope that helps explain it.

Reason why they don't sing the Original ITNW.
1. Too many highnotes at the end and no one can cover it up except Taeng.
2. Taeyeon can't cover Sica's part cause starting bridge till the end chorus she's already doing adlib continuously.
3. Jessica's adlib is too high for the other 7 members.
4. The harmonization of TaengSic during chorus will be a big hole.
Jessica and Taeyeon has the highest range in SNSD also in vocal line. Yes Tiffany can hit some of Jessica's part, but it sound crack. It sound more like a scream or shout. And besides, no one can cover Taeyeon's highnotes except for Jessica. The others can cover Jessica's part but it's all falsetto. Or they have to use the cute voice to reach Sica's range.
