Nikon P1000: Zoom Test - Can we read the signs? (1.4 Miles)

- Every now and again we like to don our spy hats and play the “can we read the sign” game with our Nikon P1000. As well as being a little bit of fun, It gives us that all important chance to test out the zoom clarity of the Camera.
Now seeing as we have a nice dirty window to zoom through, this was always going to be a challenge trying to get much quality from the zoom. Surprisingly its not a complete blow out as much of the writing is still visible.
If you can read the sign in todays video, let us all know what it says in the chat!

Can't quite make out what the writing is on the bottom of that sign, but i'm guessing if wasn't for thick glass again it would be readable, but not bad quality going through the glass again...
I agree, I think I may have even got in focus better without the glass. Probably would have fallen to my untimely death but at least it would have been in focus 😅
Hey, I am planning on purchasing the Nikon P1000 Coolpix for high altitude plane spotting. It would be my first ever professional camera, and I was just wondering if you could tell me some information for the purchasing of it, and what the camera is like. Great video, thanks!
Hey mate, probably not quite a professional grade camera but definitely one of the more affordable options for plane spotting. I would check out some of the FB groups for some examples. I have a few videos on planes here but I think you will find better examples around.
@@SuperZoomVideos Thanks, I know it isn't professional, but really it's my first ever camera that isn't a vlogging camera or my phone. Thanks for the tips!
It’s a great all in one camera, served me well over the years so I hope you enjoy yours 😃
I know you're a pro photographer, but did you take into consideration the quality/ thickness of the glass you're shooting through? Those videos/pics are right on the threshold of being readable. Maybe try from the rooftop with no obstruction. Great videos btw.
Hey mate, definitely not a pro, not even close 😂 but yes I did a whole video on optimum filming conditions including your point about windows :)

why nikon leave this series ?
Of enough money in it anymore, mobile phones encroaching into the market and high end multi lens cameras are more valuable.
