Awesome overview! I feel like a big one missing is Defiance of Destiny, especially when that's used in conjunction with Progenesis and/or Petrified Blood.
Fair point. I did debate putting in defiance of destiny, but since it's a T0 unique now and basically, in my opinion, the closest thing to a mageblood, I left it out. Progenisis is also in the realm of very expensive, so it's not as accessible either. I went for the more accessible approach since a lot of people watching, that are fellow SSF enjoyers like myself, can benefit. I definitely missed out on a Petrified Blood explanation, that's for sure! Appreciate the input! :)

@reivelt3715 yes sir! I'm going to make a little updated version with somewhat the best defence combinations in the game. Just a little busy with other things at the moment but it's in the works!
Nice informative video. The biggest thing missing i can think of would be petrified blood/progenisis effect + sustain and maybe a mention of the eternal damnation amulet and how to utilize that effect, just as a suggestion if you are thinking about a part 2.
Oh cool. I'll have to look into those. I did however used the blood notch and immutable force combination last league before they nerfed the mastery. Pretty busted so it's good they did
The Mahuxotl's machinations with tempered by war keystone has become my favourite this league, i'm always trying to think of ways to use it in every build XD
@@everseenTV yeah, this league i was already going for a ranger, so i specced pathfinder. with all the flask duration and increased charge recovery + a tides of time i had 100% uptime on replica sorrow of the divine. since it gives eldritch battery i could reserve all mana and get a lot of auras, then with a well rolled life flask i was getting full ES 4 times per second. you do need to use the life flask every 4-6 seconds, but in exchange you have crazy amount of regen...
@llucioo using master of the surgeon correct? It's a great node and I suppose that's a downside but the amount of recovery is baffling. I played a penance brand pathfinder last league and used it. Felt really good, except for when you forget to press the flask :P
Great video! Are any of these setups reasonably attainable in SSF and how would you go about achieving it? (Like Gwennen gambling for uniques, chancing etc) Thanks!
Yes of course! It's going to take a bit of work though. I got a fourth vow from nameless seer the other day. That seems like the best option to get seer or incandescent heart. Otherwise doing ghosted Exiles to farm uniques is the way to go. Glorious Vanity would be from just brute forcing legion 4 ways and doing the vaal emblems and killing the vaal boss every 30 seconds or so. You want to stack as many of the rewards on legion as possible and kill every boss if you can. Another thing too, eternal damnation is farmed from sanctum so that's just a grind. Although tomes don't drop very often in maps, increasing the quantity of your maps will significantly boost your chances. I noticed this in Affliction league I was drowning in tomes. Loreweave is simple, there's a vendor recipe for unique rings for it. Sell an entire inventory of unique rings and you'll get loreweave. Hope that helps you! :)
My favorite is the gain life before hit amulet and gain life when you are hit by stunning hits. And the Cast when stun support all your damage and you walking simulator
Well basically Divine Flesh states that chaos damage goes through energy shield. Since your energy shield is protecting your mana I would think it doesn't matter. Your life will just be alone as life and it won't affect energy shield. With mind over matter I'm unsure what takes priority though. I don't play MoM builds very often. The way it reads is it take 40% of (ALL) damage before life which means Divine Flesh probably calculates before it and all of the 50% elemental damage and 50% chaos damage get applied to MoM. That's how I interpret it at least, would need some testing for sure
Thanks brother! and I'm sure you can but the whole idea of eternal damnation is you want to get that elemental reduction so if you're converting elemental to chaos it's kind of defeating the point. I'm not at all too sure because I haven't experienced trying it myself
@@everseenTV thanks for answering, I'm a juggernaut and cuirrently using only divine flesh with a strong armour item, was just thinking what could I pair divine flesh with, other than fourth wov.
@TQP-Tukolpka No worries at all! And it depends on tbe build but I'm assuming you're playing Melee. Endurance charges are going to help a lot, same with additional PDR reduction on the chest piece and also the pantheon if you can manage it. Spell Suppression is big for fourth vow and divine flesh. I'd also try to focus on phys damage taken as too!
Thank you for the great video i just started 4 days ago on xbox series s this game is more detailed than i thought i have 5. questions 1. What was the character at the start of video 2. Where do you get the spiders at and 3. What is the melee character your using at 46 seconds 4. How does a newbie get strong fast 5. How do i get chaos orbs im just got to the submerged passage in act 1
Hey! Thanks for watching. The first build was my dual strike juggernaut using trauma support. If you're talking about the bow build that was my elemental BAMA guardian which I have a guide and many other videos on the channel about it. And spiders? There are many ways to get strong fast I'm actually making a video on how to do that haha. Using passive tree tricks or using skills that are just good for leveling. It depends on the character you're playing. If it's Melee you want to use higher damage skills like sunder, spectral throw. You won't drop chaos orbs until later nor do you need them. You're at the beginning of the game and won't see many rarer currencies like chaos orbs. Hope that helps a bit!
@everseenTV thank you for answering me I choose a which im level 8 as my first character I can't find any builds I like so I'm going to try and make my own build from scratch ascendancy choices that's another difficult decision all 3 look really good and did some research for new players and alot of videos said witch, ranger, and templar were all newbie friendly and what I asked before at the beginning of the video there's your player with a black out and black hat and purple spiders on the ground are those spiders summons
@ShadowHaven1 oh those aren't summons that's just a skin. I'd recommend Templar tbh. It has some of the best nodes on the passive tree and smooth gameplay. Inquisitor is a nice ascenfancy too.
Awesome! I mostly die to juiced up essences that are corrupted because essence farming is so much fun. Shaper mobs coming from them and those shitty corrupting blood orbs are hella annoying though! Even some of the dots the mobs throw out is disgusting. 😂
yeah try using the protection mastery to get "Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" works really nice, it's also just more maximum elemental resistances with the points before the mastery too :) Farm essences in T6 maps since that is the breakpoint for the max tier that can appear. Essences are a pain in higher tier maps unless you got a crazy build!
Evasion is good but only when it is used with multiple other layers. The only reason Evasion is not good by itself is because when you don't successfully evade you take the full 100% of the damage probably resulting in a death.
What has been missing in the Video and is a Huge advantage is the Atlas tree. Running Niko gives you +3% Max res, alot of dmg speed. Running Shrines will resolve in 90% of your maps being almost always 90% max res and full armour.
On maps Armour scales from being giga powerful to completly useless because of few funny overwhelm (PENETRATE) mods from 20%+, such a toxic mechanic (Pen like mods) that applied to Resistances only in common scenarious - but apply some nasty numbers when it comes to Pdr.
Yes Phys Overwhelm is nasty and I wish they would remove it completely. I've had my fair share of scares from Expedition. 100% Overwhelm like what is the point of having armour if I'll eventually get 1 tapped? lol
All i use for defance is Determination, 75 all res, close to capped chaos res , fortyfie and stunn imunty , leech , some life regen on belt and boots .Just in case olso use cast on deat portal for not running to end of the map . It makes confteble gameplay on not to jused maps with not much investment and takes some skill to pilot , wich is a lot fun for me .
STR stacking has some nice reductions if you are wearing a rare armour cause of eldritch implicits. i'm also using fortification but it's tricky to add to any build and the main is taken as elemental+flasks
Very true! I'm planning to go for that on my Strength Stacking Dual Strike Juggernaut. Since I'm on SSF I've still yet to get a good paradoxica, replica alberons, helical/cogwork ring and basically all the other gear for it :P. Graveyard crafting soon though with some big items hopefully.
@@everseenTV Nice! I'm loving STR stacking builds, you can even swap weapons and change passives and have an entire different build to play with. But the boot is kinda mandatory in my eyes... For Armour I crafted a fractured life+fireres+FireCannotBePenned from graveyard this league. Iron fortress is awesome but I kinda love the versatility of rare item crafting. Plus taken as ele is so strong currently it's not even funny...
@@koboldprime2257 Yeah definitely. The boots are mandatory and are a crazy chase item. Can't wait to get my hands on a pair. Got about 40 blueprints with 2 wings revealed ready to do for tomorrow's stream. I'm planning to go for the crit reduction on chest piece alongside additional pdr and strength. Gonna be a beefy chest. Iron Fortress just doesn't seem worth it in my eyes. You can also get the eldritch implicit right for less damage taken per x strength which is strong af.
This video omits sustain which is equally as important in a strong defensive setup. Ye you can mitigate all this damage but you're still going to be taking damage. You need ways to recover your health / ES quicker than you use them up. POE has a variety of options for good sustain. Leech can be invested into and reach very large recovery per second Regeneration is a staple, if you ever played RF character you know you need to have strong regen to outregen the self-damage Recoup is the odd one, works best if coupled with other sources such as leech A honorable mention is Graven's Secret unique belt paired with Ralakesh Impatience boots. This belt would normally prevent you from gaining power charges but the boots allow you to have maximum power charges at all times - so you get all that juicy crit and damage from them. You use standard power charge stacking setup (several uniques) and you end up with a char that has like 10 power charges and can gain up to 10 absorption charges. The latter ones give you massive ES recoup from elemental dmg taken. Usually used on CI builds.
That's very true. I should have touched on regeneration, which is my favorite. I don't prefer leech builds because I don't like the feeling that you need to leech or you're dead. Regeneration builds also get saved more often in disconnects. Very cool about Graven's Secret and Ralakesh. I never understood that interaction yet. I interpreted it as you would be at maximum absorption and didn't have access to power charges. Same goes for the brutal charge belt. Thanks for that!
@@everseenTV this is a recent thing as Ralakesh got changed on Affliction league. Before that they had +4 minimum charges when stationary. Its one of the strongest uniques in the game as you bypass any 'gain X charges instead of Y charges' effects. This means you can have that Militiant Faith keystone with more spell damage per pwr charges and max frenzy charges too. Or these alt charges from Maven belts. Almost all spellcaster builds use this. Melee might look into brutal charge belt as they do stack endurance. You can roll +1 endurance vaal mod on Ralakesh boots.
@alewis514 very cool, yeah I saw tons of people using ralakesh on the penance brand builds for power charges. But yes quin was using ralakesh, maven belt, foam signs etc for 11 endurance charges and transcendence. I agree they are one of the best uniques in the game right now
divine flesh states that all damage bypasses energy shield, but in the past using incandescent heart and CI was popular and that did immune 25% of elemental damage
Yeah it states that all chaos damage bypasses energy shield and it was intended this way to prevent abuse. David is 100% right and yes Incandescent Heart and CI synergize nicely!
I know right, that's why you have to be very careful if you use it. I would be scared to use it without 100% conversion or additional PDR on top of conversion lol
You said that armor is better against many small hits rather than few strong hits, but you also said that you want 90% PDR, but you didn't said why. The reason is.... the amount od damage mitigated depends on hit, if we have 10k amor and we receive 50k dmg in single hit we will mitiage only 3%, so we mitigate 1500 dmg, receive 48500 dmg with 10k armor, but with 50k amor and 10k hit, we will mitigate 50%, which is 5k and we also receive 5k damage. This is also reason why we wan't to transfer phys dmg to elemental(and sometimes chaos), getting 75% res is easy, and from 50k hit we mitigate 37,5k and receive 12,5k and with 10k hit, we mitiage 7500 and receive 2500, so in almost all cases ele resistances will do better at mitigating damage, as long we don't have 20k armor and we are receiving like 20 dmg hits, moreveor stacking armor over 20-30k gets tricky, at least for non-hardcore players. Also when we get % as ele, it will reduce phys part of hit and armor will do better.
Yes I understand what you mean. Armour itself deserves its own video in my opinion. And yes the more you shift physical to elemental the more work your armour actually does. That's why Divine flesh is so amazing because it reduces your "Big" elemental hit and spreads the damage out more over elemental and chaos. Thus giving your armour more meaning in the juggernaut/unbreakable setup. I agree with everything you said though. That's why additional PDR is so strong because it really helps out your armour a ton too!
I'm playing a Bleedbow Glad this League, i kinda min maxed it to hell and PoB says i have 200k eHP , i got a lot of things that make me tanky a few examples would be 90% Phys Reduction 85% Evade, 20 Fortitude, 100% Suppress, 80% Chaos, 50% Elemental as Chaos and a few more things. But i'll have to say that Stacking Def layers without having a huge Hit pool isn't the move in some Very Juicy Content. I got like 4.2k Raw Hp and some Juicy things just 2 Hit me. I'll probably try to Reach something like 100k ES in the next Saison (with idk what Build) to see if that's Viable as well. Great Vid tho!
Thanks man! Those are great defensive layers, Evasion works really nice when it's used with so many layers too. I agree not having a high enough hit pool is bad too. You really want your max hit to be the focus and personally anything under 5k life is too low. I play Hardcore though so that varies across leagues and players. A classic build I've seen is a shield crush bleed gladiator as well. There was a guy getting consistently level 100 each league in HCSSF. I'd like to try it at some point myself, used to love playing the old Gladiator! Cheers.
Tbh eHP doesn't really say anything. What's your phys max hit? That's way more important. If your phys reduction is only from armour than that doesn't help that much against big hits. Ele and chaos damage shouldn't be the problem but I would aim for 5k life nonetheless to also increase their max hit further.
@@sgt.pepper5078 Agree 100% Phys max hit should be the priority to make bigger. Personally Phys Taken As seems to be the strongest to achieve this. My Penance Brand Chieftain in Affliction league had an almost 45k Max phys hit since it had almost all physical converted to elemental on 90% all max res
@@carti9248 ah i see, might be decent on a pathfinder then where you can basically get tons of max res with the new flasks, although the flasks were much better before. What's the advantage of tempered by war? Seems you're just taking straight up more fire damage.
@@everseenTV seems youtube deleted my other reply because I linked a pob so I wont do that again😂, basically you convert 100% of incoming elemental damage into 50% fire damage and 50% chaos damage making it so you can fully neglect cold and lightning resistances.Enemies elemental penetration also cant penetrate converted damage so you can face tank shaper beam and not even have your health bar move. With everlasting sacrifice and a amethyst + ruby flask at 100% upkeep you can reach 85+ max chaos and fire res without having any of it on gear. All of that mixed with other layers like auras, cwdt curses, charges, sorrow of the divine, suppression and others. A good build for 3.24 utilizing mahuxotl's machination is forbidden rite pathfinders. Thank you!
@carti9248 hehe yeah youtube hates links being shown. Thanks for the clarification though, I've seen some people using that shield and wondering how the hell that worked. Very interesting combination.
Sure thing I'll explain. So the way evasion works is that sometimes you will not evade an attack. I think evasion is terrible without other defensive layers mitigating damage since if you get hit you take 100% of the damage. Yes it is good but only with other layers.
This is nice but you progress faster by playing glass cannon. Thus by ignoring some defensive layer you shoot througg the progressing for a tenth of the budget, so ten times as fast in the beginning of a league. Dps is underrated. I am tired of paying for so many defensive layers. It's just bloated lile the rest of this game.
This is a little basic and just a list of mechanics. I think poeple needs suggestions. And larger ways of thinking about defences. For example i think you should mention these baseline rules everyone uses. For example you must solve phys. Someone not using armour must use large ammounts of compensation for this. It is the single biggest source. Your example with using determination for the campaign is a gross understatement. You need lile 40k+ armour preferably unless you use a large ammount of convert AND reduction or youbare glasscannon. Another good example is if you run armour and some maxres you dont NEED spellsuppress. But if you only have 75 res and not very high armour/jugg you MUST have spell suppress to not be oneshot by a lot of commons things in map/boss. Overcapping resists a little and removing curse is incredibly important if you like to play any t16 maps. This is very important and most builds brick and becomes a glasscannon if you do not. Some like glasscannon but i assume they dont waste time on a defense video. 90% res to 75 it a massive increase in damage taken. It increases damage taken by +150%. That's just a player maxres or elemental weakness. Regenerstion is a topic worth expanding. The regeneration from aegis is not only aegis. Inquis, the life regen necklace or shield both are strong. This invalidates all incoming damage exceot for oneshots. Overleech from trickster/slayer, inquisitor and the aegis/defiance of destiny are the most popular atm. Reduced dot damage taken is underrated tbh. Some dot builds can get -20% easily with low investment. Critical damage reduction 100% more than quadruples your effective hp in maps with crit mods from altars, map mods etc. I think discussing the incoming sources of damage and which one are layeref and how these reductions interact is smarter and preferably with graphics (not sanctum where you dont even run defences).
Yeah I see where you're coming from. This is really just breaking the tip of the iceberg for more intermediate defensive layering. There's only so much you can talk about one area and there will always be something missed. Maybe it's a good idea to focus on one type of damage and examples of how to mitigate it. As for the determination reference in your comment, I respectfully disagree. Determination in itself with a granite flask and % increased armour on a flask is enough to get the specified amount you're talking about while wearing hybrid armour pieces, better if using armour gear. Having 40k+ in campaign is not necessary, 20k is sufficient enough. The idea for most builds that are not juggernaut or melee is that around 20-30k armour in combination with other defensive layers is great.
Thanks man! and yes spell suppression is super good, unfortunately a bit of a pain to get the 100% cap unless you're in the duelist/ranger/shadow area of the tree
What? It's never been this cheap before. Anyone with a build that can clear t16's can farm up a mageblood in a few hours, depending on how fast they are.
I like the video. I'd have liked more emphesis on more items, like Defiance of Destiny or Progenesis perhaps. But you gave zero amount of wrong information, and that's good.
Thanks man! I'll likely do a follow up on some other techniques and covering some T0 uniques. Like I was saying to someone else I tried to keep relatively accessible and cheap options for defence since I have that SSF brain :)
It's a little expensive and actually in the next video I'm making currently. Decided to leave some of the most accessible options for this vid since I'm more of a SSF player anyways. The next one talks about how broken DoD is and Mahuxotl's, Progenisis thanks!..... 🤡
@@everseenTVso is this entire video basically outdated at this point? Im desperately trying to figure out how to become truly tanky but this game is so complicated its so hard to figure out.
@TheHollowBlade hey bro! A lot of it is unfortunately but I can help you out more if you want to pop in my discord and ask some questions. I can definitely help you get tankier. They nerfed us quite a bit this league so some highlights are endurance charges, spell suppression and block. These are probably the strongest mitigators now
This is a typical, misses the forest for the trees video. You are not explaining HOW to improve defense. You are effectively just telling people "buy these uniques to improve your defenses." That is sooooo much different than teaching someone how each mechanic works and why it is important. Then again maybe the target audience wasnt a new player progressing through the campaign or SSF players, in which case, you might want to make a video for them too.
This is also typical, in part 1 I gave multiple different examples to improve basic defences and I got flack for not including progenisis or defiance of destiny in my examples of uniques. SO I made a part 2 explaining some of those interactions, and you 100% didn't even watch the whole video, so stop acting like you did. Check part 1 and don't be such a baby. Many cheaper defensive layers you can go chew on. Pro tip though, don't be rude because people will treat you with the same respect you treat them. DEUCES ✌✌
Might be a hot take but GGG has more than delivered time after time and actually listened to their community when making game design decisions more than any other developer I've ever experienced in a game.
Reading these jewels as a new player is fucking impossible. Why did they do this? It feels like an intentionally obtuse choice and makes zero sense at all.
Because this game is not a beginner friendly game and they know it. Expecting every game to beginner friendly is wild honestly. Ceo also basically said core reason why passive skill tree is intimidating for new players so if they scared they can just dont waste their time and quit.
Yeah the game is a lot to take in at first. I'd recommend just focusing on one thing at a time. Don't try to get overwhelmed by information, that's how I learned my best over the years of playing. For example league mechanics, focus on one and learn the shit out of it before progressing to the next. It'll help you a ton! Good luck man you're good :)
@@EnderElohim I would agree it's not very intuitive for new players. However, if you tunnel vision on 1 thing at a time the game gets easier to comprehend. It's like an onion, many layers lol

Great video. Helped me, a returning player. Much appreciated.
No worries man, thanks for watching and welcome back!
My favorite is the gain life before hit amulet and gain life when you are hit by stunning hits. And the Cast when stun support all your damage and you walking simulator
yup that was even stronger before 3.24 with the bloodnotch and immutable force jewels!
Very Nice video, brief and useful content. Thank You. This video should spread.

How does divine flesh interact with mind over matter with eldritch battery?
Well basically Divine Flesh states that chaos damage goes through energy shield. Since your energy shield is protecting your mana I would think it doesn't matter. Your life will just be alone as life and it won't affect energy shield. With mind over matter I'm unsure what takes priority though. I don't play MoM builds very often. The way it reads is it take 40% of (ALL) damage before life which means Divine Flesh probably calculates before it and all of the 50% elemental damage and 50% chaos damage get applied to MoM. That's how I interpret it at least, would need some testing for sure
I tried it and it seems like it no longer works, looked like my es didn't drop at all when I was getting hit but my life was
@Sav-xd9tz that's because divine flesh states that all damage bypasses energy shield. It's not worth it to use in that type of build really
Earned my sub with this one
Welcome my friend! :)
Nice video very informatív,
But I have a guestion, could eternal damnation work with divine flesh or fourth wow ?
Or all these three together ?
Thanks brother! and I'm sure you can but the whole idea of eternal damnation is you want to get that elemental reduction so if you're converting elemental to chaos it's kind of defeating the point. I'm not at all too sure because I haven't experienced trying it myself
@@everseenTV thanks for answering,
I'm a juggernaut and cuirrently using only divine flesh with a strong armour item, was just thinking what could I pair divine flesh with, other than fourth wov.
@@everseenTV Thank you very much :)
@everseenTV thank you so much for the advice I do have a templar I haven't played him much yet
@@ShadowHaven1 No worries :) goodluck
Awesome! I mostly die to juiced up essences that are corrupted because essence farming is so much fun.
Shaper mobs coming from them and those shitty corrupting blood orbs are hella annoying though! Even some
of the dots the mobs throw out is disgusting. 😂
yeah try using the protection mastery to get "Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" works really nice, it's also just more maximum elemental resistances with the points before the mastery too :) Farm essences in T6 maps since that is the breakpoint for the max tier that can appear. Essences are a pain in higher tier maps unless you got a crazy build!
Good and clear video. So is evasion not a good reliable defense?
Evasion is good but only when it is used with multiple other layers. The only reason Evasion is not good by itself is because when you don't successfully evade you take the full 100% of the damage probably resulting in a death.
better than armor:))
It probably needs its own vid but there are a ton of skills to be used as defense as well. Things like molten shell, steelskin, arcane cloak, etc.
Yup! I agree, I think I'll make a part 2 with some other things that were missed :)

What has been missing in the Video and is a Huge advantage is the Atlas tree.
Running Niko gives you +3% Max res, alot of dmg speed. Running Shrines will resolve in 90% of your maps being almost always 90% max res and full armour.
True! those are really good atlas tips, I generally do shrines a lot because they feel so good
Great vid. I would love to see more. I would add lightning coil setup tho
I'll probably do a part 2 at some point since there are some great suggestions in this comment section!
This video was so informative! Great video 10/10
Hey! thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it. I was proud of it :)
Yeah its an amazing amulet. Very powerful with just simple defenses
You can also get the eldritch implicit right for less damage taken per x strength which is strong af.
great video!
thank you sir!
This video omits sustain which is equally as important in a strong defensive setup.
Ye you can mitigate all this damage but you're still going to be taking damage. You need ways to recover your health / ES quicker than you use them up.
POE has a variety of options for good sustain.
Leech can be invested into and reach very large recovery per second
Regeneration is a staple, if you ever played RF character you know you need to have strong regen to outregen the self-damage
Recoup is the odd one, works best if coupled with other sources such as leech
A honorable mention is Graven's Secret unique belt paired with Ralakesh Impatience boots.
I agree they are one of the best uniques in the game right now
What would happen if you used Incandesant heart + Divine Flesh and then went CI ? Does that just negate 75% of damage ?
divine flesh states that all damage bypasses energy shield, but in the past using incandescent heart and CI was popular and that did immune 25% of elemental damage
Yeah it states that all chaos damage bypasses energy shield and it was intended this way to prevent abuse. David is 100% right and yes Incandescent Heart and CI synergize nicely!
The funniest thing about transcendence is that it makes you extremely weak to phys reflect even if ur build does tiny amts of phys dmg 😂
I know right, that's why you have to be very careful if you use it. I would be scared to use it without 100% conversion or additional PDR on top of conversion lol
informative
im a fairly new player, my defensive layer are hopes and dreams.
Your best defenses are movement speed and off clear screen tbh. Always run diagonal and kill before it appears on your screen. GG you are good now
hehe mitigating your physical damage is probably a good start!
@@m.h.4907 xD
great video thanks
No worries, thank you for watching!
fast and interesting, really good
Appreciate it, Thank you!
I have the opposite issue in poe, got good at being tanky by myself but my damage is always zero xd
Hehe sometimes it's like that. Hell it happens to me on hardcore too. I try now to pick builds that are tried and true. Nothing worse than being zdps
My Penance Brand Chieftain in Affliction league had an almost 45k Max phys hit since it had almost all physical converted to elemental on 90% all max res

mahuxotl's machination + tempered by war

@carti9248 hehe yeah youtube hates links being shown. Thanks for the clarification though, I've seen some people using that shield and wondering how the hell that worked. Very interesting combination.
Fourth Vow + Gloroius vanity + eternal damnation + petrified blood + progenesis. 90% chaos res 250k armour.
that's quite a tanky combo
I wonder why you ain't even mention Evasion as defensive layer
Sure thing I'll explain. So the way evasion works is that sometimes you will not evade an attack. I think evasion is terrible without other defensive layers mitigating damage since if you get hit you take 100% of the damage. Yes it is good but only with other layers.

@@everseenTV much appreciated sir
This is nice but you progress faster by playing glass cannon. Thus by ignoring some defensive layer you shoot througg the progressing for a tenth of the budget, so ten times as fast in the beginning of a league. Dps is underrated.
I am tired of paying for so many defensive layers. It's just bloated lile the rest of this game.
This is fine if you're in softcore and can die. However, I'm a hardcore player so the mentality is a bit different!
Defensive setup = kill them faster then i die hahah
They do say a good offence is a great defense lol!
Nice video. Didn't know spell supression is that important. Could explain why i'm dying from several fire projectiles even though i have 77% fire res.
Thanks man! and yes spell suppression is super good, unfortunately a bit of a pain to get the 100% cap unless you're in the duelist/ranger/shadow area of the tree
I bought one of those jewels its worth it.
Yeah theyre very strong I love them!

@TheHollowBlade hey bro! A lot of it is unfortunately but I can help you out more if you want to pop in my discord and ask some questions. I can definitely help you get tankier. Want to be tankier? Svalinn + cap bock attack/spell + supress100%. There you go, I am 3k HP only but i never dies, just need to be carefull with DoT
DEUCES ✌✌
