i love these longer videos, i say please to more of them lol. also my sapphic book recommendation would be the mercies by kiran millwood hargrave. it's set in the 1600's in a little village where all the men go to sea to fish and get killed in a huge storm so it's only the women left. a town nearby sends some man (can't remember what he does lol) and his wife to help the village. there's also kind of a subplot of sapphic romance between this one village woman and the wife of the person who was sent there. i'm not a 100% sure if i got all the details right because i read it quite a while ago but it's something along those lines. i quite liked it and i don't see anyone ever talking about it.
I always love your recs! I've had a different Haley Cass book on my TBR for a while and I really need to dig into it. Some sapphic books I’ve loved recently: Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn, The Wicked and the Willing by Lianyu Tan, Thirsty by Jas Hammonds (seriously one of the best YA books I’ve ever read), Cash Delgado Shakes Things Up by Tehlor Kay Mejia, Lies That Bind by Rae Knowles and April Yates. And a couple that involve trans/non-binary characters: Triple Sec by TJ Alexander (a f/f/nb poly romance), and An Epic Construct by Dawn Cutler-Tran
I'm currently reading Kiss Her Once For Me by Alison Cochrun and I'm enjoying it - queer romcom with so far believable or mostly believable miscommunication. Haven't finished it yet and it is a bit early for reading it in October but that's when it was available from the library. I'm also rereading Those Who Wait in preparation for the next book. I've been interested in the Falling In Love Montage so sounds like it needs to move up on the tbr.
My sapphic recommendations I read this past year were definitely: - Bloom (horror fiction) - The Marble Queen (fantasy graphic novel) - The Princess and the grilled cheese sandwich (royalty - graphic novel) - The summer love strategy (romance/coming of age YA fiction) - Helen House (horror novella)
I really enjoyed listening to this review selection this morning and as a writer I'm always curious to know what sort of lesbian content readers are likely to be interested in most. Hearing your really nicely balanced remarks made me think a great deal about my own writing and I cringed to relate to some of the things I've been guilty of doing myself like ignoring the butches in favour of popularity. I feel committed now to writing a butch , high femme couple romance!!

You should read experienced by kate young, its set in Bristol uk and it's brilliant and very queer. Its a fluffy smutty Sapphic romance.
