Down the drain - Julia Fox Rubyfruit Jungle - Rita Mae Brown Sunburn - Chloe Michelle Howarth Girls can kiss now - Jill Gutowitz Our wives under the sea - Julia Armfield That green eyed girl - Julia Owen Moylan Those are the top tier books for all the non-native english speakers that will have a hard time pausing and rewinding to write down the names lol love your channel Georgia! love from all the sapphic readers from Brazil
Thank God, I was starting to feel like the only one who didn't like She Gets the Girl. Unfortunately, I remember it in detail because it was full of plot holes, and I ranted about it to anyone who would listen. Don't feel bad for forgetting it, though. The writers couldn't remember what they wrote either. 💀
Don’t want you like a best Friend actually takes place in the Victorian era. 1857 to be exact. Historically speaking, I’ve learned a lot from this book, and yes I know I’m not talking about the Saphic romance part. The Marital Causes act was a huge step forward in terms of how divorce was handled. It was even adopted in the colonies, of which Canada was one at the time and therefore adopted the act. I went down a rabbit hole about divorce laws after reading this book. Sorry for the rant. I just found a new sapphic romance today. It’s called This Love by Lotte Jeffs, it sounds interesting.
Sometimes you just hear about a book and think ‘YES!’. That Green Eyed Girl sounds amazing and I bought it on kindle immediately. I will also never get over the ending of Our Wives Under The Sea :’)
I recommend "If Tomorrow Doesn't Come" by Jen St. Jude" (it's so beautiful but can be heavy dealing with topics like suicide, the end of the world, and homophobia in religion) "The Fiancée Farce" by Alexandria Bellefleur has great characters and good spice. "D'Vaughn & Kris Plan a Wedding" is really fun and the characters have a lot of chemistry. "Falls From Grace" by Ruby Landers is an easy read and I liked the main characters together. And I agree with another comment that you should read "Girl, Serpent, Thorn" by Melissa Bashardoust because that book is crazy and had so many twists that I never would've guessed. I love your videos and read your recommendations all the time!! Thank you
I started reading in 2014 and I had to hide my sapphic books behind other books even though my family isn’t homophobic. I turn 26 this year and now have about 50 sapphic books that I dont hide :)
There's a pretty good chance I actually found this book through your channel, but in case I didn't: The Most Dazzling Girl in Berlin is so beautiful and unique! It's set in 1930s Germany, it includes a wonderful queer bar, and it's written in verse which I found really interesting
girl, serpent, thorn was such a great sapphic book thats had so many twists and turns i legit could not get enough. house of longing is a sapphic romance that had a good ending even for the era it was portraying, loved it so, so much. wilder girls was also very good but not al ot of physical romance.
Loved your list! I highly recommend „Mistakes were made“ by Meryl Wilsner. The Main character has a one-night stand with a middle-aged woman, who turns out to be her best friends mom. It‘s quite steamy but also very heartwarming and funny :D
Angst drives me crazy, I hate when two characters have a 'misunderstanding' and then spend half a book upset or hating the other person, when a simple conversation would have resolved the issue.
Have you read Flamingo by Rachel Elliott, The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden, Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel, White Houses by Amy Bloom, Boulder by Eva Baltazar, Devotion by Hannah Kent, Mrs. S by K. Patrick?
i am soooooo excited to read sunburn!!! also it's so nice to see someone else who didn't love in the dream house. i have no idea what annoyed me about it, but i did not love it!
Hollow by Bailey Williams for a heaaaavy memoir but one I feel like you'd enjoy. Not purely sapphic but the author is queer. I also loved Brandi Carlisle's memoir 'Broken Horses'. Diary of a Misfit by Casey Parks is a fav non-fiction. For fiction, Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun, How Much of These Hills is Gold by C Pam Zhang, Even Though I Knew the End by C. L. Polk, and my favorite romance from last year with The Pairing by Case McQuiston (more queer than just sapphic). Kiss Her Once for Me by Alison Cochrun is a great winter sapphic read!! Ok that's enough 😅
does anyone know if you can get Sunburn in the US yet? My bookstore said they can't order it, library doesn't have it, can't find an ereader version...I'm soooo excited to read it!
Love these books! Can't wait to read 'That Green Eyed Girl' and 'Rubyfruit Jungle'. I think you should read 'These Letters End in Tears' by Musih Tedji Xaviere. I read it right after Sunburn and it gutted me. I also enjoyed 'Tipping the Velvet' by Sarah Waters and 'A Shot in the Dark' by Victoria Lee. The first book I read this year was 'Blue Sisters' by Coco Mellors and I loved it. It's more about sisterhood/family than anything else but one of the sisters is queer. Also, if you want a weird girl book then anything by Emily R Austin would fit the bill.
Hi! New to your channel! I was wondering if you've read or have any thoughts on Longshadow by Olivia Atwater? It is the third in a series but they can be read by themselves and it's kind of set in regency era (I could be horrifically off tho) and it's sapphic!
For the benefit of the viewer, your video would be more enjoyable if, whilst talking about each book 📕, you would have a larger thumbnail picture of the front cover of each tome. This would make it more memorable for the viewer, & we would connect to a higher degree with your dialogue. It would also increase the chances of your viewers remembering each title & going to the shops (or online) to purchase said titles. But thank you for being brave enough to cover a topic not many are willing to discuss. ❤

The fact that 80% of these have been on my tbr makes me so happy I found this before trying to organize what books to use for reading challenges

I'm reading Our Wives Under The Sea right now and already know I'm not emotionally prepared for it to end! I'm currently 45% through
oh you’re in for such a journey

Not sure you have done this before but would love a video about classic sapphic romances, like Annie on My Mind, or Loving Her, etc.
Yerba Buena!❤

I also felt In the Dream House was very meh. The author takes herself wayyyyyyy too seriously
I agree abut also I think that’s just her being an academic lol
