This is one of the best videos I have seen so far to solve my mental blockade. A friend once told me “I network for the sake of networking”. No ulterior motive. Just “sincere interest” as Dale Carnegie wrote in his book. You just made it practical. Thank you!
Just watched the video. I'm 4 days into personal training, already have 3 consultations booked, talking to lots of people is 100% the way to go in order to build the connection so you and the client feel comfortable with each other so the transfer of advice just comes naturally. I did a mock "consultation" with my fitness manager and I didn't do terrible, but definitely not great. I don't normally buy things from people, but you seem to have exactly what I need for where I am in my personal training career! You just got a new buyer!!
His youtube channel is full of information with actual workouts..not like other channels who will give the same type of information but no tutorials and workouts Respect and love from India sir.
Nice one Mark. Just what I needed to here. I already do most of these but it is the valuing your own talents that gets me. Working out rates etc per hour, per month pending how many times a week the client wants you use your services. I have started at Pure in Bletchley and just gone live doing classes, cleaning and chatting to other PT's and potential clients as you said to build a relationship.
Mark this is exactly how I am, great video. Can't wait to start my PT career. I am sure I am going to have a great time and lots of fun. Great video . Just subscribed.
Yeah In the real world this doesn’t work let’s say you work at a commercial gym your have bosses forcing you to sell. An if your not selling your making bare minimum so you can’t support your life. I’m a personal trainer director an trust time isn’t on your side
Hey Eleni, just a recommendation for you. Instead of selling personal training, focus on selling results or transformations. Focus on a specific audience and solve a specific problem. If you have any questions about this, ask away.
@Alex Catalfamo I've worked it all out now. My gym is in a poor area and is way under capacity with a lot of PTs so it's super competitive. I've had some interviews for other places now.
@@Bikeadelic I understand. Have you ever thought about being an independent personal trainer or diving into online training? The field will still be competitive however, on your own you are not limited to the members at a gym and you can really focus on your specific area of expertise as you separate yourself from the competition.
Personal trainers train people they are not salesman. I just dislike the stereotypical sales person trying to sell you stuff like a car salesman, "select this prestige package for x number of months and you'll get this option" etc. I'd just say to the client personally im available to train you, come to me if you want to, that's it simple enough. No bullshit get this extra discount and receive half of the workout crap that will confuse the client. Im an introvert so it makes it difficult to have small talk.
Thank you so much for the video Mark, I've been hustling so hard out here in Dubai, will give this a try for a while and see how it goes . Many thanks @omarcoachfitness
