I managed a big gym (sales lead) for personal training for nearly 3 years. The point about being cool / calm / confident during the end of stage 2 and 3 (follow up) is huge. I had someone come back and buy nearly a year later. I also maintained a great reputation.
I started working as a personal trainer, I did my first wellness assessment yesterday and to be honest, It was nerve wrecking for me at the end when I had to make the closing, my prospect told me that she’ll consult with her husband. I have another wellness assessment this Friday, so hopefully I can make this closing. I am brand spanking new in the industry so I knits is gonna take me time to get my feet grounded.
Your videos/advice have been so invaluable to me building a new business. I just came out of sales for a large corporation and had GREAT success doing exactly as you described here. It’s all about relationship, treat them like you respect them and believe they are capable of making good decisions without your controlling interference. Don’t fear them into your product. Follow up and genuinely inquire how/where they are. I always hit my monthly goals at 130%+ just by treating people how I’d like to be treated as a customer :)
I’ll most likely use your free documents for my training. Simply because they’re self explanatory AND you go over pretty much each form in your videos which I love. You’re videos are so helpful more than you know! Thank you
First of all content is best I am also personal trainer and some of the trick also use for sell my personal training packages. But I have a question to you if client says my relatives or my friends get personal training services too cheaper then what should be my Response… Love from India❤ Waiting for your answer
Yes- gym membership is just belonging to the gym whereas selling personal training is going to be doing training sessions. Generally, just belonging to the gym is much cheaper/they can do it on their own time/etc vs selling training, you’re trying to show the value of you as a trainer and why they should invest in training sessions. Depending on the gym, you may have to do both.
Any chance you could cover what the pricing sheet should consist of in your opinion, and how the different tiers should be structured relative to # of sessions. Please and thank you!
I covered some of that in this video. ua-cam.com/video/c2syGJGDn9A/v-deo.html I will most likely make more pricing videos going forward, so if you have any questions after watching that video let me know!
Devin Mcnamara I would say that if you’re interested in learning their systems and using them definitely! They’re fairly challenging to learn as a trainer but they are useful
@@SortaHealthyTrainerEducation Sweet! I personally find that older adults struggle with a fair amount of the FMS movements. Do you find the same thing? For example, if you know a man can't do a trunk stability push up w/ thumbs at top of forehead, do you immediately regress it to thumbs at chin in order to prevent client from getting discouraged?
Yes our older clients definitely do find the movements harder overall. We still test the initial version of the screen for everyone with the exception of the rotary stability which we don’t test everyone to see if they get a 3 or not. We try to make sure everyone knows that it’s just a movement screen helping us look for asymmetries and it’s nothing to be ashamed about if we find some minor issues.
If you are a group PT you still might have to do sales. Sales is likely to be easier in many cases though because your price point will be lower. It all depends on where you end up working!

Hope it went well! Not every consult equals a client but the more you do, the more comfortable you’ll feel.
Yo! Were you able to close?! Why did you learn in these last five months? @RedPilledFit

If you are potentially going to work at a gym, is there a difference from selling. Gym membership and a personal training package

Thanks! They are here: www.sortahealthytrainered.com/_files/ugd/adb0c5_7e3615fea85d401999fa246dddcf6d1f.pdf
Could this be applied as well to Online Fitness Coaching?
Many of the techniques and principles could be applied to online coaching but I will probably make a video more specifically for that later on.
Is purchasing the FMS screen kit a smart idea?

Do you have to do sakes if you are a group PT?😅c

Dude how do you even have time to make these
Lol man, sometimes I wonder that myself! Where there is a will there is a way!
