They are my all time favorite band!!!!!! To me they will never be underrated.
Nice choice, BFS are also my fav band.
That is major. considering it's Jaret. lol
Definitely criminally underrated. They just did a sell out UK tour, and played their biggest ever headline show (6000), and another sold out 4800 venue same tour
I love bfs, they're a unique band in a genre where most bands are more or less pretty similar, like who would expect a pop punk band to come from Texas of all places
They are unique and have kept their style over the years. That's what makes them special to me and others.
The best damn thing to ever come out of Texas.
I bought a cassett of Drunk Enough To Dance in a Madia Play bargin bin....and was hooked.
I,m almost 60 yrs old and I will never ever get tired of listening to them they never fail to deliver and make me smile 🤗❤🤗
Same
It's 2022...they still rock...and still at it with their new bassist Rob :)
I watched them live at a free outdoor show in Sweetwater, Tx, hosted by the local rock station in the late 90's. They gave me a pick and I bought a CD. A few years later I was in the Marines and you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing them.
I was recently drunk enough to do karaoke and I sang 1985. Had a blast! Love these guys!!!
Did you had a hangover you didn't deserved?
@@ZapperRS LOL nice. I deserved it though.
I was exposed to BFS over a decade ago, only because the gym I went to played their music. Never heard them on the radio. Talk about “criminally underrated.” What I love about this band is they sing pop-punk ballads. Music that tells a story and listeners can actually understand the lyrics.
I was exposed to them as a kid because of Phineas and Ferb, but I didn't know it was them. It was until last year I saw a meme using their song 1985 as the background music. I liked the song so I searched for them and realized how familiar they sounded, and to my surprise it was the same band that did the Phineas and Ferb theme song
One thing about Bowling for Soup that I think goes under the radar is how good their bridges are. All of their really well known songs have really cool & unique bridges and particularly the Hangover You Don’t Deserve album has a really cool bridge in almost every song. They were masters of seamlessly tying the verses and final chorus together with an awesome, creative bridge. I also always really loved the key change towards the end of “Really Might Be Gone”
"Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, you deserve each other" lol thats one of my favorite lines from a bridge of theirs, I think it's Val Kilmer?
Never thought about it, youre right
what do you mean by bridges?
@@Ravanelli015 that small part of the song at the end of it, usually just before the last hook, with a change of key or some thing Like that im high af
an example would be the part in 1985 where he sings "she hates time, make it stop" etc@@Ravanelli015
My favorite band and always makes me smile--In Puerto Rico they never were on the radio- thankfully I was able to listen via St. Thomas ex Rock radio and fell in love !!!
BFS was my first introduction to pop punk, then I discovered bands like Blink, Green Day, The Offspring and many others. These guys are amazing and very talented, they deserve the popularity they have, and much more
Just watched them at slam dunk absolutely criminal, they rocked it in the 90s and guess what they still do.. The band can't help if critical aclaim doesn't have any idea. Rock on boys enjoyed you for year's and you nailed it on Sunday 😎🍻🎉
I only got in to this band a couple of years ago...late to the table again!! I bloody loooooooooooooooooove them!! They are an amazing Pop Punk band with such a wonderful sense of humour and superb guitar driven sing a long songs. I am rapidly building up a collection of their back catalogue and can't recommend their new albums enough, Pop Drunk Snotbread is as they say themselves a Pop Punk masterpiece!
I'm also really digging the new album. A lot!
Just saw them live tonight, such an incredible show.
They’re my absolute favourite band. Had all the CDs back in the day. You’d never touch the skip button with a lot of their albums and yet they’re often not mentioned when people discuss greatest punk bands of that era. Criminally underrated. Got tickets to see them in Glasgow in Feb. Absolutely cannot wait.
They have a new album coming out in April of this year (2022). Can't wait to hear it! I've loved this band for a long, long time and will continue loving them til the day I die.
God I love this band.
You're not the only one, they're great live as well. ^-^
@@BeRytBack I saw them in hartford and they were great. However, Jaret was sick that night so they didn't play for super long. I'm also planning to see them on any other tour near me.
I saw the guys on Sunday, it was a hell of a show!
love them, it's great they come to UK and have a lot of fans here because they do, let's face it a lot of US bands don't really bother playing outside of the US unless they are doing some kind of big stadium tour. They've also stayed true to their style of music, as pop punk lost its popularity, they never went all out pop which i'm very grateful for.
Yaaas I've loved BFS since like 2005 in middle school. We'd blast their music at parties and school dances, even sports practices lol I still love them
Love this band. Got me through some tough old times. It was the first concert I took my kids to and I got absolutely defend when my youngest son screamed soooo loud in my ear when Gerard came on stage
Wish they were more popular, great funny guys and amazingly catchy music
Simple rock from an intelligent band that doesn't take itself or anything else too seriously. Well played music, tight, fun, catchy, and easy to relate too... what's not to like?
Their songs make me feel very nostalgic; about the 2000s era and all the times I used to listen to them on my mp3 or in the car during a road trip with my family
Awesome video! Great bunch of information and cool as a tribute to Bowling For Soup in general. Despite them being my favorite band I learned a couple of things! Also the timing with the album picture at 8:44 is legendary!!! Nice job overall :)
Thank you very much! I hope this video can enlighten those who aren't familar about how freaking awesome this band are.
Bowling for soup have always been in my top 10 favourite music artists, I love all of their albums except for maybe 1. Their latest album i thought was absolute 🔥🔥
Saw these guys 2 nights ago in n Torquay, and after 29 years they are still the greatest live band ever!!!
Fantastic video! Absolutely love Bowling for Soup, Drunk Enough to Dance is my favorite album of all time.
Thank you, I'm seeing them next week. Can't wait.
@@BeRytBack Did you manage to see them before lockdown?
Big guy can Rock!!!! Stay the coarse you guys keep rocking!!!!
The history of iRyan - CRIMINALLY underrated
Thank you very much.
Just found them and I love them!
They have been making some awesome new songs in 2021 and 2022
Saw these guys live and they are incredible
Great video, thank you
Amazing !
This band was my childhood
A brilliant band . I’m looking forward to seeing them next year . I had tickets to see them a few years ago but had to miss out on going to the concert . I’m trying to build a replica of his Texas designed Music Man Axis guitar at the moment . Of all the songs he’s written, I found out that none of my favourites are actually his best hits . I would have thought “Right about now” would have been more popular considering the power of it ? Oh well, each to their own . 🎸🤟
Glad somebody notice there greatness
nice man thnx for this
I've been following bfs since 2004 and fell in love with them when I heard The Girl All Bad Guys Want
This needed made
great band!!!!
There are many punk bands that are crininally underrated like Eddie and the Hot Rods, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jack Off Jill, The Briggs etc.
I love they’re a pop punk rock band a little more on a lighter side
First album first concert first riff they really are my first band for everything we also live in the same county
BFS’s new album will probably be amazing just based off the first single.
Didn't even cover why they did the theme song for Phineas and Ferb.
Ever since I Hurd you live in Texas in 2000ss live at 6 flags sponsored by Jack FM iv always been a fan
Saw them in Belfast a few days ago....FUCKING BRILLIANT 🤘🤘🎶🎶🍻
Agreed
bfs is literally awesome. even hello anxiety, there new song, slaps like hell!
Not only is a big brilliant band they also covered my mates band song " I Ran " . I told him the news and I was with him the day He got his royalty check 47 hundred pounds
they made new songs in 2021 called Killin em with kindness
#bestbandever, in my opinion
BFS is corniness done right.
jarrett has a tiktok and hes been doing a solo country alblum
Not bad
Thanks, any suggestions for how I could improve in the future are welcome!
@@BeRytBack audio of your voice needs improvement
Bfs is the best band but we need more people to know
Being a Texan and living in the largest, most multicultural city in Texas at the time, when No Hablo Engles came out, it was a social statement. Every ethnic group that wasn't Hispanic, for years had watched our Hispanic friends we knew who spoke English quite well, use "No Hablo Engles" as a way to ignore law enforcement or any authority figure giving them orders and get away with it. People wonder why illegal immigration is such a heated topic in the US? It was because illegal immigrants of Hispanic origins were being given better treatment by law enforcement than citizens. If a black man said "No Hablo Engles" and walked off, he would have ended up being another George Floyd. The illegal immigrants of Hispanic origins used the phrase "No Hablo Engles" for all it was worth. The song was funny because that is exactly how the phrase was being used by illegal immigrants of Hispanic origins, and everyone else wanted to use it and get away with it too. I wouldn't expect a British Commentator to understand why "No Hablo Engles" is one of their best songs.
I saw these guys in the DFW area before they were really popular.
I love bowling for soup but I did not know they did Phineas and Ferb theme! Wtf ! That’s metal AF
And now I feel like a poser 😂
I used to watch them play at a country bar on week nights there would be 20 people there.
The greatest of all time
Good video but man those mouth sounds, aaaaa eeek
Texas Bands are the best!
They were good up until 2009. Still liked there stuff after that but not as good
¡No hablo ingles!
The UK obviously has the best taste in music.
I love BFS.
Jive records is owned by kid rock.
Blah blah blah
Personally I would say they are very far from being a criminally underrated band. I personally think for the most part they are pretty awful all their albums sound the same and they haven’t evolved at all
I respect your opinion but I disagree.
AC/DC hasn’t changed a thing in 45 years and they’re one of the biggest and most influential bands in history
ugh tbh they werent really that underated man
