Thank you for these videos and your guitar turned out beautifully. I'm going to attempt my first Stew Mac Tele build and good to see the process as you've done it first.

Thanks Bob! I really appreciate you sending your photos and answering some questions. Hopefully next week I'll have the final video. Playing it now and took it to my local guitar shop, Big Island Guitars and Music. The owner really liked it. He's an amazing guitarist. Hopefully I'll get some footage of him playing along with me stumbling along. Ha!

These are tremendously well presented, Steven. Beautiful and unusual finish. Teles are just gold. Bullet proof and perfect aesthetics. Great to chat guitars up at the Capilano Suspension Bridge!

I was happy to meet you today Christopher. You played and sang very well. I was impressed! I lucked out and was able to connected by Wi-Fi for a while. ATT isn’t working for me in Vancouver, but we’re back home in Hilo in a couple days and will talk more and look your music up.

Just a quick FYI: The title of this video doesn't say "Part 2 of 3" so it wasn't showing up in the related videos section on the right hand side. I had to go to your channel page to find it. Great video series though!

Thank you! I'll revise the titles on all the videos, at least in the text and description. The series grew organically, starting from the unboxing, which is now number 1 of 4. Thanks for watching! FYI - There's a forth video of finishing the kit and playing to hear how it sounds! ua-cam.com/video/_tprT9hZIKw/v-deo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB

Love the "safety socks" Steve. I think I would've rather seen solid blue colour, not wiped off. IMPO.

You can't be too careful, only the best socks will do.😁 It was a blue stain and I wanted the grain to show through. But during the process, I thought that a milk paint would be a good alternative for a rustic, but more opaque finish. That would look good too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I really enjoyed building this kit. The precision is outstanding, especially the neck and neck pocket. The pickups are exceptional. Check out my third video where I show how it sounds.

The pick-ups are what I was most concerned with.iam pondering buying an esp LTD guitar for the same price already built.and I know ESP pickups are the best I've ever heard. I play in drop b and play heavy hard metal.so I was wondering if this was the right guitar for me ,or just get the esp.because I won't know how the diy guitar will send untill it's built, and I can only afford one or the other

the small holes are to be used for drilling your neck holes, they act as a guide for the drill bit to ensure the neck holes are in line with the ones in the body, which you risked by removing the neck and hand drilling.

Yes, it turned out pretty cool. The wood showing through almost looks like gold flakes. Thanks for watching looosmeat.

Con todos los productos que has comprado, la mano de obra y el tiempo para el resultado final, sucia mejor con la primera mano de aceite.👍

Aloha and thank you for watching Rafael. I really like the way the finish came out, but an oil finish would be very nice also. Check out how it sounds around 32 :27. ua-cam.com/video/_tprT9hZIKw/v-deo.html

    Bonjour
Super vidéo vraiment très très intéressante.
    J’ai une question .
Pourquoi utilisez vous un cd pour percé le manche ?
Je ne comprend pas très bien l’anglais .

    • @StevenParente
      @StevenParente  3 роки тому +1

Merci beaucoup Pascal!

I've built a few Stewmac guitar kits and all turned out well and were high quality. I'm working on a couple right now. I usually by the Wilkinson Stewmac kits and the components are very good and I've sold a few finished ones. You can listen to how this completed kit sounds at: ua-cam.com/video/_tprT9hZIKw/v-deo.htmlsi=Yow2udO3k6Bwu7Q7 Go about 33 minutes in. I've never heard of occasion guitar kits. Do you have a link?
