Whatsup man!! Great tutorials. I would love to see a tutorial on the Kick / Sub bass relationship in Tech House.... how to choose short kicks versus long kicks, where to make EQ cuts on the sub bass and the kick, and basically how to glue them together and balance them with sidechain/volume shaping, and bus processing. Thank you so much!
video ideas: -Top 5 compressors and reverbs etc.. (i need a recommendation for a compressor) -More complex methods of moving sounds back in the mix. -A video on designing more melodic elements for tech house.
I second Mikey Francis! Kick & Bass are definitely the foundation of tech/techno/house and that would help lay out the rest of the mix for me and probably for others as well!
I would love to see a tutorial about drums... tech house drums... melodic house drums... how to choose the right ones... how to know which rhythm... specially the rhythm thing.. should I follow the melody or the bass line or something else... how to know which element to choose like should I take a snare or not (beside deciding by ear maybe there are some rules).. which kind of hi hats.. how many hi hats, clashes, claps etc... what's the purpose of every element.. tips about changing the rhythm during the mix.. how to mix them properly... how to glue them together... how to make the drum set fast so you don't spend to much time in that process... I hope you got the idea... would really love to see all that and maybe more covered as there is no tutorial about this nowhere :) thanks a lot for your effort :)
@@jn1346 well thanks for your reply but no I don't think I asked somebody to do music for me... and even if, what's wrong about to show it on a song... I think u misunderstood my question.. iam asking about the basic rules of drums that's it... :)
yooo zen... I'd love to see some latin house/tribal house/jungle house tutorials. I'm on a big chus & ceballos, rafa barrios, joeski, etc. kick at the moment and couple things i'm struggling with... 1. not overdoing the percussion (adding too much) 2. making percussion sound big & present without disrupting or leaving space for the bass 3. getting that raw and analog fuzz & texture 4. adding little motifs & shots to keep the song progressing
Love the fact that you have started all these tech house tutorials! Definitely helping me tremendously! Since you’re looking for ideas... writing/sound design for the Deep Tech style of basslines like Dennis Cruz & Joe Red would be amazing. Think tracks like Rock & Roll or Mother F*cker (Dennis Cruz) and Retrospective (Joe Red)
Yo man rated all these tech house bass tutorials you’ve helped me a lot, but is there any chance you could make a tutorial on how to create nice chord/key sounds that work well along side a bass heavy tech track? 🤞🏼✌🏼
Nice tutorial man. Mad how far you’ve come in such a short amount of time. Really hope I can build my confidence and build my channel up as well as you’ve done.
Thanks dude. I won’t stop now I’ve started, more motivated for this than I have been for anything before! Hope you’re having a great day man! Thanks for the insight.
Beep Beep!! One thing i've been strugglin with is double layering at TB-03 like Thomas Schumacher, ASYS etc. Gettin close but just missin something magic tbh
Awesome Tip Zen! Coming in with that fire my G. Suggestion : How to make Phlegmatic Dogs (Night Bass) fart bass. Phlegmatic Dogs - Bastard {Heard @ the first down beat of the drop}
Beep beep! Ques. How to push things backward and forward in Mix to add some depth? I have watched tutorials on it but i can't understand enough about it. So i thought i should ask Zen world aka the Ninja Master Btw Nice Tutorial Master
Hey man love the videos !! sample packs are also awesome! Was thinking it would be dope if you made a video on Alix Perez maybe brake down his drum and hard wubz thanks:) much love 🙏
I love your tutorials, found this one really beneficial. Could you do a tutorial on the mastering chain you use in EDM/ Tech House? I've seen so many, but I'd like to understand how you approach from start ti finish. Keep rockin'!
Hey Zen World! I've been watching your videos for a few months now, thanks for sharing the knowledge! I've been looking around to find tutorials on tribal house/Latin tech-house (Bass, drums, structure) and can't find anything very interesting. I'd love to see one of your tutorial on something like "La Luna by Jude & Frank" or "La Cumbiambera by Kryder".
I was actually waiting for you to upload this yesterday 💪🏼😂 Can you delve more into taiki nulight basses and synths please? Love your vids 🙂 Edit: UK Bass sounds would also very accepted to do tutorials on 💪🏼
Hey Zen! First of all thank you for your awesome videos so far. They helped me a lot in my productions! Since you're running out of ideas I would like to know how you process a singing vocal. How do you make the decisions how to EQ, compress etc. Love your channel and have a great time!
Hey Zen ! how do you create some nice atmospheric sounds that just kick back in a mix just to fill some space, preferably for house/tech or any genre will do! Thanksss
Hi zen. love the tech house tutorials so far. could you do a tutorial of how to extract vocal from a track. i sometimes find the Acapellas are not out there for what i want. huge thanks for all the content you do. thank you
Hey Zen! Would love a tutorial video on adding more melodic elements in tech house tracks like the tracks listed below. I have a hard time mixing "nicer" stuff (stuff with more traditional chord progressions, nice sounding melodies) and tech house. Sometimes it just comes out as deep house, sometimes it just comes out like ass. Great videos, love the deceiver pack and have had lots of fun working with it. Great work. bodies do the talking - Walker & Royce word - Walker & Royce stay with me - chris lake
Hi Zen! Since you asked, i'm currently working on something that really look like Neelix but in 128bpm, so if you are interested in some different tutorials i would like if you made something about his kind of synths or even mix techniques. Thank you very much!
Zen can u start doing tutorials about tribal/tech house like Sunnery James Ryan Marchiano? I think it's very similar to genre tech house, but a little bit harder to drum rythm.
Hey bro. Would love to see a tutorial on how to do a vocal stretch/repeat like in Michael bibi - garden of groove 5:25 (as well as alot of dirtybird tracks) where the vocal slows down and speeds up, or how you would automate the reverb/delay of vocals to turn into builds
Iv'e noticed some tech house tracks have a strange reverb like effect on the bass but still sounds good, for example the bass from "Rafa Barrios- Palabras" or "Italobros- Rey". I don't know how it's done but It would be great to see a tutorial! Good videos.
Hi dude, i'm new to your channel, you do a great job, and i want to ask you if you can explain how to make space for all sounds in a song, atleast bassline and kick.
Would you ever consider doing sound design tutorials on stock Ableton synths like wavetable or operator? Or a pack of presets for tech house - I would buy those in a second.
Would love a tutorial on evolving sounds such as that one in Along Came Polly by Rebuke! (that weird rolling perc type sound that is the focus of the track)
is it possible to make a track from scratch from a more latin techno type of music. secondcity & manu gonzalez - Funk'd is an example or lucky punch - alessio bianchi, Tomi&kesh
I struggle to make the tech house bass. Not the low end, the mid. I cant quite get to the way it is on honey & badgers delta or da pinte. Or like it is in martin ikin How i feel dub mix. Please do a tutorial on it
I'm literally following you from scratch in serum, and as soon as you go into the Bin's, yours is already subby and bassy while mine isn't?! What am i doing wrong?
Not sure if there is a glitch with my serum but when i minimise the plugin then open it back up and go to edit the "Bin" they all reset for some reason anyone know how to stop this from happening. Even happens when I save the preset...

Agreed and what sounds are better upfront or in the back. Awesome tuts Zen !!!
@@jn1346 Lmao! Low/High cutting frequencies can only move sounds UP or DOWN in the Stereo Image. Use Reverb and volume to push them back/forth.
Uhh what a useful video! Great😁
Hey, Zen, another great video. What is the background track you are playing at the beginning and end of this vid?
Hey zen could you make a video about getting your drums to sound punchy like fisher or how you did in your tech house start to finish
