In this tutorial, we will be going over how to make more complex basslines for your tech-house tracks. Utilizing Layering, and additive shots we can make a simple bassline sound more interesting. Tutorial was inspired by the Pour The Milk track by Robbie Doherty. He's track is a perfect example of all three things we will be talking about put into play.

I always think about, how complex we want our music to be, not realizing (and setting our ears and mind with the first rule*) that *LESS IS MORE. Keep it simple and you will start to notice the difference on your creativity and workflow. Cause, when we start to produce music, we think that artists make music super complex with lost of sounds, FXS, samples, synths etc. And no... It clearly is not that way. COOL TUTORIAL, ZEN.
Totally right. Cluttered messes don't allow your brain to be creative
When im struggling with producing a new song i just come to your channel and get inspiration and a lot of help!

Great little tutorial as always bro, I think using the above in a subtle way is the key, like the odd pitch bend or velocity change here and there. Love your channel.

thanks for the great vid. On the 3rd and 4th midi note of the mid bass, sounds like these notes are played with more velocity/open cut off or someting - can you explain how this is achieved?
Great!
Great video! Could you remake the bassline/kick of Back & Forth by Mesto? I know it is an old song now but there are no tutorials on this style of bass.
