That was really cute, reminded me of the developmental bio lab course I took years ago where we were looking at the effects of hypoxic conditions on the expression of genes related to the breaking of secondary symmetry (Primary symmetry is broken when the little gut starts developing, it then is no longer a sphere, you can say one part is up and another is down. Secondary symmetry is broken when the little gut veers off to one side instead of going straight across the little ball.)
