Yeah, it's a daylight shower which is why I didn't include it in the video. I tend to keep the meteor shower segment to only major ones unless there is a predicted chance of a random meteor storm (but those are rare and hard to predict ahead of time).
@@LateNightAstronomy Ok👍👍. I'm gonna try to pick up few meteors in the morning of 7th and 8th. It's going to be hard tho because I don't have good places to watch them in my hometown. But if I see few, I'm going to be happy! Just over 2 months till Perseids!☄️🌠
Great video as always, your tempo is just perfect! And guess what: Last few nights were finally clear, I took out my star tracker, my dslr with the 70-300 stocklense and took pictures! Loved it, started with the moon too, just to get the rust away. Then M13, although I have to balance well the lack of sleep and the joy of capturing. And then I couldn't help but pointing at M101. Only 20 pictures of 30 seconds, then dawn started, but in the stacked image I can clearly see the newly discovered supernova! What? You doubt that 😳?! Hihihi, well done, with 300mm and 10 Minutes of total exposure M101 is barely recognizable. But it's there and I love it! Just think of the distance! And there is one bright spot in one of the arms so I will forever pride myself having taken one of the first pictures of it 🤣!
Thanks for such a great report of you time out imaging! I've got a video coming out Saturday on M101 and the supernova that just appeared in it! Clear skies and keep up the great work!
First comment 🎉 I make astronomy videos too.
Thanks for the information, I am looking forward of using me new telescope. I don't see the link for process the photos of Venus.
It should be up there now! Thanks for asking about it!
@@LateNightAstronomy you did not post it unless I didn't look properly in your description
@@Dann-md9eq It's there now.
Isn't there a meteor shower called Airetids or something? Or did you not say it because it's mostly peaking during daylight?

This month the supernova in M101 is obviously target No.1. If you do astrophotography you should be imaging M101 right now :)
Yes. I've got a separate video coming out on that Saturday! I hope to get out to view it once the Moon gets out the way!
This is so wonderful ❤ thanks for sharing ❤
My pleasure!
M13 Was my first deep space object I have tried to capture.
Very nice! How was the view and how did it turn out?
@@LateNightAstronomy it turned out ok I think. It was with an 8" edge hd, the focal reducer and a DSLR. Will do it again as soon as weather allows.
Good rundown of the view ahead. Unfortunately I'm blocked to the West by buildings.
I apprecaite your support and hope you are able to get out and do some observing this month!
Do you think that Betelgeuse will explode as a supernova any time soon?
Yes. Possibly in the next several thousands years!
Can you tell what month it is just by looking at the night sky?
Yeah, I suppose you could.
kool video
Thanks so much!
