Thank you for sharing this. I am actively involved in helping my wife to foster rescue dogs and taking good photos of the dogs is critical, to give them the best shot of getting a good home. Your advice and your recommendations are very helpful.
Great video. I gave my dog a treat every time I took a photo of her. After a while she came over and posed every time I picked the camera up. And she was 16. And they say an old dog can't learn new tricks. Your editing is stunning. I would love to see how you achieve such fantastic results! Subscribed!
Great information! My own dogs used to shy away from the camera, now that they know it's fun and they get treats, they jump right up on the studio platform before I even tell them to!
Learned SO much from your great videos. Have a Canon 5d (but my husband is the photographer). Of course no matter how great the camera, if I can't even rame great pictures, a nice camera matters not! So - I'm taking a course & enjoying your videos!
Would definitely be interested to see the editing process. Teddy’s pictures were fantastic what a photogenic little guy. Even his nose licking shot is super cute.
Very helpful video and really terrific pooch portraits. You make it look easier than it actually is, particularly the action shots. Well done. Subscribed.
Fantastic, I learned a lot more in this short video than I have in other long extremely boring ones! Dogs are fun! There is no reason learning how to photograph them shouldn't be fun too!
You focus is "spot on". Do you have any videos or tips on your camera focus settings for animal photography (Single area AF, continuous AF, etc.). Great job and thank you.
In the last year or two, I have switched from Canon gear to Sony mirrorless! The Animal Eye-Autofocus of the Sony cameras is wonderful. Not required, of course, but Animal Eye-AF has made life easier for me as a dog photographer. BTW: squeekies are great to get the animal's attention.
Yeah that animal AF sounds like a winner. Just not ready to make the jump away from canon just yet. Hoping to get the R5 once the world gets back to normal.
Thank you for all of these tips, they're very useful. Although I only have my phone I'm sure I can take better photos following these tips, especially the background related
I love your photos the best because you are one of the few that capture the joy in the dogs❤️❤️❤️ yes absolutely so curious how you get that cool crispy colourful edit! I have a fluffy white dog too and love your style✨💛☀️
Hi, I'm a little over a year late for the request, I would love to see your editing techniques on Photoshop and Lightroom. If there's already one, please send me a Link. Cheers
Good job with this video. Honey, that's clever. :) I actually learned a lot of this by trial and error on my own but when I see you are doing the same things it makes me feel better.
Would love the editing tips but am mesmerized by your ability to point the camera at a subject without hardly looking at camera; have seen you do this in many other videos; I'm impressed!! Don't see how you get the eyes so sharp with that approach!
Auto focus lenses + live view (checking your composition and focus point on back lcd screen)... Great features which gives you more options on shooting position then just using a view finder.
I’m so glad I’ve come across your channel. My dog has her own Instagram page and I’m looking for a good photo editing software I would love to see how you edit Your photos
Would you like to follow each other? My petstagram is @motherofmagikarp I have 3 dogs, a cat, 2 fish tanks, a crested gecko, and fire belly newts and toads. I saw you have a shih tzu, I have a lhasa apso!
Great video! Really helpful and interesting. Would love to get your editing tips. What lens do you recommend. You mentioned a wide angle lens and also telephoto - very interested in hearing your recommendations.
I usually have my f stop at around f8-f11..give me a little leeway with the pin sharp focal point. you can also use manual focus to set the focus between a certain distance
Hello fellow dog tog! I'm thinking of starting up a vlog myself - focused around my dog photography life. I just wanted to reach out and say I love that you have a dog centric channel like this, (especially since its helping rescues!) and see if you have any tips?
Thank you for sharing this. I am actively involved in helping my wife to foster rescue dogs and taking good photos of the dogs is critical, to give them the best shot of getting a good home. Your advice and your recommendations are very helpful.

Quite a few of the shots are out of focus to be fair....but I also sometimes put the lens on manual focus and then use depth of field preview.
