The Dogist is popular because we all just want to hangout with dogs all day!
So, now he's a s/m millionaire! I love to hear stories where success happened organically, no preconceived master plan, just a labor of love that caught on. That's the best!
His spirit is absolutely amazing. I love his shorts and watching him interact with other peoples dogs and maybe talk to him as if they were his own is always a joy to watch as a pet owner myself his spirit, purity and joy for what he does definitely spreads happiness all throughout.
"Screw people. I just wanna hang out with dogs."
Yet he does approach a lot of people. That's very sociable by some standards.
That's my life motto + I'm living it.
"dogs don't need that much to be happy, they need food and love right? That's soomething I always aspired to do is to take a page out of their book, become more simple in the way I look at the world." - Elias Weiss Friedman aka "The Dogist" 2017 :')
I didn't know The Dogist has been featured in NatGeo.
I ❤️ all your interactions and photos.
Thank you.
Perfectly stated.... Love and food is all any dog or human needs.
Love your work
You forgot walks,lots of walks
Best job ever... all the dogs were gorgeous.
He should make it into a service of doing dog profiles for owners ,capturing their dogs character in a collection of photos and maybe do something for kids and dogs. Should also set up a patreon page to fund his work and eventually appear on tv etc..and he should get a dog with a beautiful owner !
He could do his service at events ..say dog shows and carnivals or festivals as a service to make people smile and appreciate their dogs
Mans best friend
He has a patreon page. He launched and sold a company called WeFollow, started a web series called Barking at Dogs, and also created the Sartorialist, a fashion street photography blog, for dogs. The Huffington Post and BuzzFeed have published some of his work.

What's weird is that I saved this video to watch later way before I got Insta. Now I have Insta and I instantly followed this guy. And now I get to watch this and understand.

2:54 the silence after "Midtown Doesn't have any dogs" is so funny to me
Thanks to you, Elias, for your words and your deeds. Seeing this has brought the relief that's been in such short supply for the past several months of anger-charged politics. I think you've found a key to joy, both for yourself and others. From an old new fan.

Great vibe and dedication! You inspire me to pick up my camera more to take photos of dogs! Thanks!

This is me as an adult
I'm just wondering how he makes money out of this
Thomas L I think he wrote a book
A simple Google search revealed this: "A graduate of Boston University, Friedman worked in brand strategy before getting laid off. He took advantage of his newfound freedom by launching and selling a company called WeFollow and starting a comedy web series called Barking at Dogs, in which he and a friend “interviewed” various dogs around the city. He then woke up in the middle of the night about two years ago, wondering if anyone had thought of creating the Sartorialist, a popular fashion street photography blog, for dogs....Just like that, The Dogist was born. The boxer from Vienna, along with a brindle frenchie he spotted in Williamsburg, were his first posts....Soon, the Huffington Post and BuzzFeed had published some of his work."

Thomas L I
Thomas L yes I thought exactly the same, is it to do with how many "Likes" he gets ??
Likes? On this video? It's not his upload so he's not making anything.
woof, woof ;)
hi
3:47 Looks more like a Flat coated retriever than a Newfie to me, but hey, what do I know?
As a Flat-coated retriever owner, I thought the same thing :)
"Can i get a photo of your dog?" SERIOUSLY??
He looks like the lead actor of Lucifer.
if u add some pictures of that dogs is good.
0:21 I have that dog and it is a Visla
For a guy having such a fun job he sounds so annoyed and bored and sick of it all
Lovely!!
Awesome… thanks, that made my day. 🐾🤎🐾
Ur face is perfect for next call of duty
🤗🤗🤗
1:24 "screw people, I just wanna hang out with dogs"
4:24 "i sorta feel that loneliness. I'm coming home and like talking to my rug"
*Oh look, he's still lonely despite being surrounded by dogs. Thinking that people suck will do that to you*
Exactly, I use to be like that, thinking that ppl suck and i was worth more than them it has led to a lot of lonelines. i've only started digging out of it, people aren't so bad.
I find loneliness for most part a lot better than sticking to people that continuously don't understand you, nor wish to. I feel like most people that describe hating 'people' in general, feel that way ... maybe?
Just the majority of people have very little interest it seems like in truly understanding other people. And I guess it's hypocritical in a way to give up on them for that.
In the end, everyone should be hopeful of meeting someone that personality-wise fits and has equal interest of understanding. Just very rare I think.
Well said

can you do another video of how you set up your camera and choose the settings for the pictures
Lucas Saueressig thx for replying I really appreciate it, im a youth photographer and have multiple pets and wanted to give it a try, thx!

Domi.Yourself whys it matter
#CanIGetAPhotoOfYourDog
#no
Can someone give some leads on his camera gear. Please🙏
He should take photos of shelter dogs or maybe stray dogs and help them get adopted!!!!!!
4:24 "I sorta feel that loneliness. I'm coming home and like taking to my rug"
I don't understand. If he feels so lonely why doesn't he get a dog (or any pet)? Is it because that his work demands much time & that he would be unable to look after it? or is there something else?
he's always traveling
U shud update this cos elias got a team now
4:54 what kind of species are they?
A. Ahmed I think English Staffordshire Bullterrrier
and u?
What mm lens is he using?
achookangaroo If he’s that close the answer is obvious.
Wow you're sooooo cool. It's actually not obvious because it could be a variety of wide angle options.
achookangaroo Seriously? Look how close is he in terms of sensor to face distance and tell me it’s a 35. Are you really that dumb?
same i don't have dogs. i have my friend's dogs
I follow @thedogist
Ronaldo Villa you and 3 million others
.... If I had all the money in the world, I'd save dogs + cats that the rest of the world have deemed "unlovable" or "worthless".
The comments in this video are so dumb lol do you people just sit in your houses all day?
Dogs are awesome but sometimes humans can be too.
I want that job
Why doesn’t he have a dog ommmg that’s strange
he's always traveling
How is that strange lol
I'm a cat photographer. Failing
JӦYの貓 lol
Phodographer
First
MDC Anything congratulation! 😉
if you go to Amazon you can actually see insede the Dogist book with: every picture with copy rigth. So in the end is: can i take a picture of your dog, then i will copy rigth it, after, of course, i will put them all in a book and sell it. Because i love dogs :=)
As soon as a photographer takes a photo they already own the copy rights to that image. There is no "getting a copyright."
@@bob6yt7 Plus I have little doubt that he is getting a photo release of each dog and his human as he takes their pic. You can do that with a phone app...
tbh I think going around and stopping people from doing what they're doing to get a pic of their dog is stupid. I guess you could say it's a DOG act BADUM TISS
Pretty sure they could say no, or walk away, if they had an issue with it. Most people don't mind having their dog's photo taken.
Thank you for all the joy from watching your Dogist videos ❤️🐕🦮🐕🦺
Elias, Great Job.
