This was amazing to watch! And how easy it looks and how it becomes a real life looking animation and it’s soo good and now it’s mad how we are already at toy story 4 !! It’s crazy !!!!
I remember how giddy I was when my teacher showed this to us in class one time. It's always so great getting to see these guys have fun coming up with all this stuff; the way they exchanged ideas and played off of one another was so special.
Why did I enjoy the hand-drawn storyboard broadcasted by Joe just as much as the actual thing? This makes me think about the possibility of how goddamn great an old 2D animated Pixar film could've been.
Eu I'm from Brazil, I'm Brazilian, but I love this channel, it shows content from behind Pixar's amazing film productions, keep sending videos on this channel, please kkkkkkkkkkk
Eu sou do Brasil sou brasileiro, mas adoro esse canal, ele mostra um conteúdo do por trás das produções incríveis de filmes da Pixar, não para de mandar vídeos nesse canal, por favor kkkkkkkkkkk
Another aspect to note about this is how passionate everyone is, especially the presenter. You can clearly see that there is a love for their work and treat it like art. They cared about what they did and only wanted the highest quality resulting in an amazing outcome.
It's kinda incredible to see the Pixar staff reacting to this with just storyboards. The final scene is, of course, nearly perfect in every way (including informing us of how the toys / people dynamic works).
I love how they all bounce off each other with ideas, but they also sit there like kids again and watch in awe as Joe goes to work! I smiled this whole video 😊 I love Joe Ranft and he would've had so much more to give in the world of animation!
0:14 Andrew Stanton (hope didn't get that wrong): I'll write something, and then once I think its good enough I ask for- see if John likes it and approves it. John Lasseter: YEAH IT'S GREAT! APPROVED!
Stuff like this is why I’m studying to be an animator
Good point!
Same here!
Joe Ranft was the best story man at Pixar Animation Studios. He'll be missed forever. 😭
not a single "um" in his whole pitch
@@whydowehavethesehandles You meant for the storyboard process, is that right?
Yeah
The animating world misses you, Joe Ranft ❤️

Amazing. It's so important to share these aspects of a movie. I always loved it as a kid but this makes me value it up to a new level.
