Just left the movies on National Cinema Day! My husband and I took all the kids. Ignore the movie critics. We loved EVERY minute of this. Great actors and beautiful story. Great family movie!
Agree 100%. We just got back about an hour ago. My son and I loved it. The acting was great and the race scenes were super exciting and nail biting.

Same here. My friend and I saw this movie on National Cinema Day and it was awesome and some of the races had a lot of tension. I love how the racing choreography is similar to the games as well

Can’t wait! I feel privileged to be one of the few who have lived this crazy reality. Such an awesome story for Jann and the 20 other drivers, including myself, who went from sim racing to real cars because of GT Academy.

My friends were jumping like kids at the end of the movie. It was like your favorite football team scored a goal at 96 extra time

I love movies about underdogs, the losers or rejects overcoming incredible obstacles to become successful in their dreams. I hope this movie truly lives up to the hype.

JUST CAME BACK FRON THE THEATER AHD OMG BEST MOVIE I’VE WATCHED ALL YEAR, THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IS AMAZING AND ITS SO INTENSE

Watched a few days ago. Had to say it was absolutely perfect. Watching it on the big screen makes it no less than an experience of a lifetime, something like what you'd get from watching Top Gun: Maverick on the big screen too. Probably going to go a second time.

In fact, there's a similar movie like this: a Japanese drift racing movie called AliveHoon where an introverted gamer (who also plays Gran Turismo) becomes a drift Racer after one of their own is put out of the action.
Man screw these animes where the chicks are battleships or horses. Point me to the anime where the chicks are cars. I know that it exists, i have no proof that it does but it's too good of an idea for it not to exist.

The movie... It was so very impactful. Mostly because everything that took place was so "real". Often you go to movies and the people in it are doing things they would never do. An example here was how well they captured the relationship that Jann made with his new mentor and instructor. This movie is about how a man who thought he was done was destined to not only restart his own life, but the life of another as well. This movie should be the foundational program for anyone who wants to become a mentor, a leader and the hope of another human being.

Generally, racing scenes never interested me but EVERY SINGLE RACE SCENE in this movie piqued my interest and it was highly entertaining. I did not except a lot for this movie but it turned out phenomenal. 10/10
I just finished the movie and it is definitely worth a watch. Archie and David gave very impressive performances in their roles.

Wow! What a Great Story! So close to ranking in at a 10 / 10 ! My only reason to not rate it as a perfect movie, is because I wish the cast had resembled the actual people (at LEAST closer), other than that I have NO complaints. HIGH ENERGY! If you love racing, this movie is for you! The sound of the engines is amazing throughout the entire movie. It definitely feels long, but I didn’t want the movie to end. I feel most great movies are longer than the average. Ending on such a high note leaving you feeling like you’re in the celebration! I don’t know much of the original story, so I hope this movie stuck to it closely. The acting was great, the scenes were great, overall a Great Movie!

This stirs memories of another amazing racer movie based on a true story: Rush. Directed by Ron Howard and starring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl
Can't wait to see this movie! Reminds me of one driver that started his racing career from sim racing game experience named Tommy Milner.
The drama is weird, but the racing sequences kinda look cool. And Neil Blomkamp in previous movies did alright at making action scenes and the visual effects were cool.

The true story idea is actually more interesting than doing a game adaption considering that Jann went from playing car games to becoming a professional racer and getting his goal.
Just saw this today was amazing and inspired me to keep going no matter what, mum died suddenly after a long battle with dementia all this year and last year and partner left me. I'm unemployed and rent a old run down house and with two of my four adult kids right now hoping things will get better slowly and getting the therapy i need to be a better perrosn,this film inspired me to do that,im 55 is not to late
A true story is the best racing film Gran Turismo Jann is a racer to gamer GT Academy! One of the best of epic racing movies ever made! Can't wait!!!🎉
I haven’t played any of the games, but this movie does look good for it being based on the PlayStation games. It does sound insane if it is a true story.

Having watched gran tourismo just yesterday, it's easily one of the best movies I've ever watched. Hats off to Sony, play station, and all the producers, especially the director and actors. Brilliant. You made me laugh, you made me cry and you made me hold on to the edge of my seat.
Don't wait to see it, just go for it. Best racing movie ever! You guys won't be disappointed. Lots of emotions, lots of actions, lots of suspense. This movie should be longer! For the racing fans out there, add this to your collection. Great marketing too for all that's involved in this movie.

I'm old so I remember playing the very first GT and I've gotta say that I'm rooting for this movie. If you're gonna do a video game movie this is the one that you need to get right.

If Gran Turismo and Twisted Metal are a success with the audience, I hope more video game adaptations happen. Spyro the Dragon? Crash Bandicoot? But these two would have to be fully animated/cgi.
But Crash & Spyro still belongs to Activision Blizzard. And Microsoft is trying to acquire Activision Blizzard.
Crash bandicoot should be on the hands of DreamWorks or Sony entertainment. Don't let Disney put their hands on it.

Didnt even want to go to the movies today but my dad dragged me to the theater and wow im glad that he did. Definitely wasnt expecting much when the movie started but then halfway through I was LOCKED IN. David Harbour's performance was so good. Definitely go check it out.

I've never played a Gran Turismo game, but this looks like a pretty interesting and decent movie if you look at it as a standalone car racing movie based on just the story and not necessarily the video game IP namesake tied to its marketing.

I've always been an Xbox kid, and by proxy more of a Forza guy (although I did have one GT game, and that was the one on the PSP way back).
That being said, saw this movie yesterday. It was amazing, would absolutely reccomend even if you're not into cars or racing games.

0:02 I never knew that NordicTrack, the exercise machine company, had a deal with Gran Turismo! If you're wondering, the NordicTrack logo is on the bottom right-hand corner of the helmet, to the other side of the Puma logo. Well, both brands brought 2 things into the mainstream, Gran Turismo bringing sim racing into the mainstream, and NordicTrack bringing exercise equipment into the mainstream! Weird, isn't it?
