For those complaining about the DVI connector, I'm told that HDMI requires paying a DRM licensing royalty which would increase the price of the radio. Whereas DVI has none of the licensing burdens and so does not have that 'tax'. Adapters are easily found and I'm happy that they include some type of external display port, for me this is a win. Close ups of the front and back and size comparison are very helpful, also demonstrating the various functions by using the mouse instead of the touchscreen was an excellent way to allow us to see the display as you make the changes. Please check your video. I believe that you said the 500 hz filter is optional. The descriptions states that a 300 hz filter is the option and I see a 300 hz filter in the list of options, not the 500 hz. Also the manual lists the 300 hz filter as an option, which will only display, if you have purchased and installed it.
I love my IC 7300, but it would really be nice to have an external video connection. Two main points for the Yaesu is the external monitor (even though it is a vintage DVI, WTF Yaesu?) and the outstanding Yaesu DSP>
Ich habe DNR und NB nicht ausführlich getestet, aber sie scheinen mir genauso gut zu funktionieren wie bei den großen Brüdern FT-DX101D und MP. Wir haben mehrere Weidezäune in der Nähe, da hilft der NB sehr viel, das 'Ticken' der Zäune ist völlig unterdrückt. I did not test the DNR and NB very extensively, but my impression was that they have the same good efficiency as with the larger siblings FT-DX101D and MP. We have several pasture fences nearby, the NB helps a lot, the 'ticking' of the fences is completely suppressed.

S8 in 80m band, wäre die DSP im Yaesu FTDX10 dazu in der lage das grundrauschen zu veringern, ohne das SSB signal besonders zu beeinträchtigen und falls ja, um wieviel dB wäre das rauschen veringert ? nicht das ich mir einen FTDX10 kaufe und dann ist das rauschen trotzdem noch zu hoch, es muss sich schon lohnen, sonst könnte ich auch meinen guten alten transceiver im 80m band weiterbenutzen. wie gut wäre die DSP des FT891 in dieser beziehung? der hätte den vorteil so klein zu sein, dass man den einfach überallhin mitnehmen könnte, im rucksack auf den gipfel für sota etc. ⛰ und im mobilbetrieb🚗
Das ist nicht zu beantworten, das hängt zu sehr von der Art der Störung auf 80m ab. Möglicherweise wäre unser QRM-Eliminator da eine bessere Lösung. Der FT-891 und FT-DX10 zu vergleichen ist etwas gewagt, das sind doch zwei sehr unterschiedliche Anwendungsfälle :) Für weitergehende Beratung würde ich empfehlen unseren Vertrieb per E-Mail zu kontaktieren.
Not my bag, I will stick with my tried and trusted ICOMs, IC-7300 an IC-9700. Sure who buys a radio on the recommendation of Sherwook Engineering, not many I'd say. This box of tricks is way over priced, and doesn't excite me in any way. That 3G graph looks more like a gimmick, buy an ICOM IC-7300 and put the remaining more on a good antenna. BTW I had the 991, and what a pain to use, as so much functionality is embed in bloody menus. yaesu missed a trick again, like they did with the ft817 and brought out the ft818... Don't get me started on a DVI connector wft is that, HDMI???
Just like the 7610 complaints. DVI is a compatible subset of HDMI, you just get a cable with a DVI connector on one end and HDMI on the other. "HDMI" on the rig would just cost an extra license fee, and provide NO additional function. A non-issue.

No, the keyboard is not backlit in general. Same as with all desktop radios by Yaesu. Some keys have LEDs built in, so you can see the state (on/off).
