I look forward to watching your adventure. Im so happy to see that you never gave up. I look forward to seeing your dream become a reality. You two and Barley are so much fun to watch. You have really done amazing work on your boat. Rooting for you. Love from Italy.
Hi Precilla & Chris. We are Roger & Lindsay. I’d like to say we watch you all the time and I’m really glad that you’ve got back to putting the windows in and not lost your spirit even if it was really really tested. You two take care 🤗🤗🤗👋👋👋
Glad to see that you still continue doing what you want to achieve and to get your narrowboat completed, and we will continue to support you on UA-cam 👍👏
as a glass fitter you need to put the sides in first then top and bottom. you will find that the bottom will bend out as you put the corners in then push in. do not use the strips as not safe your windows can still be take out from outside. a rubber strip is put in after glass is in, this pushes the glass onto the beads and then the only way to take out is to remove the rubber. i do not wish you to be robbed after the boat is finished. you have had your share of bad luck... i was also a quality control manager for Omega windows (peterbough) stay safe....
omg you guys doing amazing.............. I have watched this channel since the beginning.... and love it when I watched your every episode.... and can't wait for the end result and that you are are the uk canal waterways....
She is looking great with the new windows. When y'all took the wall down down I was like, noooooooo lol. But it does make her feel so much bigger . P.s my wife and are truly injoying wacthing you journey. Thank you for taking us along. From Florida usa.
Hi guys, wow that’s good you got all the windows back in hopefully those little bloody kids don’t come back. I really hope they would’ve got caught. It got a good slap from their parents but unfortunately today kids are out of control because the parents around the control. Anyway keep up the good work. Really appreciate you both Cliff from Australia 🇦🇺 we are on the big island 🏝️
Put up propper curtains on the inside of the windows to make it look like somone is living in the boat and put no padlocks on outside of the doors as it says ur out
I'm glad you replaced the windows and put in the other windows it looks way better now keep it up im looking forward to more videos you're doing a great job
Nice to see your new windows in place. I use butyl tape for sealing deck parts on my boat. It stays completely flexible and lasts for decades. Sealants which cure go rubbery and tend to break down over time, silicone based sealants are a complete no-no, perhaps there's a Sika-Flex product suitable for your application instead of butyl tape. As your window frames and glazing are angled they are particularly vulnerable to leaks, I hope they are durable. It's worth investigating how to make them weatherproof for the long term, you don't want leaks, rust, etc. The top edge of the frame is particulary vulnerable as water can collect there, perhaps a 'drip rail' above the windows would deflect water to the ends or onto the glass. Even extendable 'visors' would provide wom shading from the sun too!
I love watching your content! 😊 although I’ve only been watching you for a month or so, and I love your positive attitude especially during difficult times, I think you guys would b winners in whatever projects you do but for now your lovely boat is going to be a floating palace when it’s completed can’t wait to see the end results keep up the good work 😊
Glad to see that sored and dearly hope you found those kids and the parents lumped up for the glass they smashed. Need to think metal security shutters of some sort as you start your fit out for when you leave it again as if their not smashed again the glass can be taken out as easy as it went in with no noise involved. Very sadly a sign of the now times we live in, but sort of not to dwell on but give some thought to although being a pain, but at best it offers some peace of mind to prying eyes etc.
should put the little side ones in first, then the longer top and bottom trims as they are easier to bend :) ohh and look forward to the next one. keep up the great job.
Having the removable bead on the outside is unusual on new windows? It was seen as a massive security risk years ago. They’re generally on the inside only nowadays 🤔 Really nice to see things coming (back?) together 👍
In fairness I agree with this comment, I'm not sure of many suppliers who now provide externally beaded windows for that exact reason. Sure a brick will not stop the breaking of the glass but day to day security is more of the concern. Nothing taken away from these guys who have embarked on a mammoth task
You should’ve had windows with a beading on the inside not many people are making with a beading on the outside now it’s too easy for somebody to break in. Look how easy it was for you to get the glass out.
just out of curiosity, was there any consequences for these boys who destroyed all the windows after all they cost you quite a few hundreds of pounds just for the fun of it where the parents ever contacted?
You need to cover the windows from the inside with black roofing paper so KIDS / people can’t see in side That way they don’t know if someone is inside or is just empty
I think I’d be investing in some clear or even tinted window protection film. 100% I would actually… And I’d make sure the video of those boys was circulated around the local area. So that all of their friends, teachers and parents and parents friends were aware of what they’d done.
Love seeing you each week , to enjoy watching your progress.... Never stop :) One question, in regards to presentation ( I could be getting old )** , some times it's hard to hear what you folks are saying ( ie : music or echo in boat ) hope that's something that you could deal with . Soo enjoy your shows ....my comment above is not a criticism.....just a observation Cheers ....be safe and may you have clear sailing
Nice work Team looks great again.😅I did notice that lil prick had one of those orange car smashing window breakers so suspect he does that a lot. Karma will get him in the end.😮😅 Right keep at it now.😂😅
Windows looking great. Your hard work is shining through, keep going. Where did you get your windows? They look like they could be a good replacement for the old tired windows on my narrowboat. Best wishes.
Would it be possible to create a 'temporary' window shutter/covering that clips into the rain gutters above the windows - at least on the shore side? It may give a little more security when you're not there.
Well done on another milestone moment Chris & Priscilla, in my city we refer to the kind of stagnant pondlife that inflicts that kind of damage to people's property as nasty little badstarts and a waste of some good mattress time... I don't remember seeing anything about it but what are the plans for the old midship hatches? I know you removed the step frames on the inside so Im just being a very curious (nosey) Glaswegian and asking 😇
I am surprised the leading beads are on the outside. Double glazed units are normally fitted from the inside. Burglars can easily remove a unit from outside. 🤔
Could you post a drawing of the dimensions of the boat. I know you say in video 65 x 12 but I am curious about how wide is the side decks and the stern deck is as well as how much the hull slopes.
the windows are made in both in or out side. but most do make the beads inside. the strips used are for beaded on the inside. and this is supplied wrong go get the right type rubber beads that push in after the windows in on the inside.....(window fitter)
Surely the window strips should be on the inside and not the outside as someone can come along and take the whole pane out and get in the boat. if they were inside then that would not be possible!!!!
Just a bit of constructive criticism when you guys are talking over the music, we can barely hear what you’re saying. You guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
Les Parcloses des fenêtres doivent être à l'intérieur !! Les fenêtres sont à l'envers !! Tout le monde peut entrer chez vous en retirant les Parcloses et ouvrir les fenêtres 😢
Great video, or at least it was until the overpowering music/ noise I stopped then, as to hear your voices, I risked disturbing my neighbours. Please keep the sound effects down in future. Anyway, rant over and I wish you luck and glad you could replace the glass.
sorry to say this but when fitting a new pain of glass into a window thats been smashed it's meant to be done from inside the boat not the outside...can you guess why..let me tell you so you cant be broken into if a burglar notices that the beads are removable from the outside your boat /barge will be targeted.. who ever made your windows should know this i would demand that they replace all the windows and refit them since they have done it wrong...i can't believe a window firm has made the beads to be fitted in this way.....look at your houses windows when you go back in for the night. i hope you get this sorted.. i would hate to hear that you had been burgled through your windows.
Those windows are Wrong The glass and beading should be put in from the inside. If away for a length of time someone could remove said beading and grass from the outside and enter your barge. School Boy Error 🤦♂️
You two are showing great resolve. I felt so sorry for you. I pray that the little s**** are no longer a problem. All my love and great respect.
I look forward to watching your adventure. Im so happy to see that you never gave up. I look forward to seeing your dream become a reality. You two and Barley are so much fun to watch. You have really done amazing work on your boat. Rooting for you. Love from Italy.
Thank you so much!! We appreciate the support. We absolutely love Italy please enjoy the delicious food for us :)
That's an interesting way to state it, you did 'a smashing job', which of course is true - in a manner of speaking. A very nice job!
Hi Precilla & Chris. We are Roger & Lindsay. I’d like to say we watch you all the time and I’m really glad that you’ve got back to putting the windows in and not lost your spirit even if it was really really tested. You two take care 🤗🤗🤗👋👋👋

Well done guy's lets hope all goes to plan now . I have to say how bright it is inside now you have all the windows installed .
Well done, great job. looking good.
Well done, guys, starting to look great, be even but with the roof window.

Wow just looking great again. It's going to make such a difference working inside now. 🎉 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦 a very cold snowy SA🥶
Great job done you two!!
welldone nice tunes , well done your hard work nice to see progress and positivity❤
Put up propper curtains on the inside of the windows to make it look like somone is living in the boat and put no padlocks on outside of the doors as it says ur out
This to stay relevant!
I'm glad you replaced the windows and put in the other windows it looks way better now keep it up im looking forward to more videos you're doing a great job
Excellent job glad you back on track, cant wait for the next vid all the best .

tres bon travail continuez bien
The boat looks so much better again. I am so sorry you had to go through that.
Thanks!
You are an absolute Legend!! Thank you 😊
should put the little side ones in first, then the longer top and bottom trims as they are easier to bend :) ohh and look forward to the next one. keep up the great job.
Fantastic job 👏 Hopefully you have no further damage. Security cameras maybe needed. 🤔
I’m honored to be a small part of your boat. Forward progress!
Thanx again
Hope your in a better area now
Nice
Super job well done ..just hope you don’t get a re.occurrence as it’s guaranteed the precious little darlings will be watching this channel . .. n
It was hard work doing it the second time I hope everything goes well. I love your episodes.
Nice job guys😊😊😊😊
Having the removable bead on the outside is unusual on new windows? It was seen as a massive security risk years ago. They’re generally on the inside only nowadays 🤔 Really nice to see things coming (back?) together 👍
Great to see you have been able to put some of the windows back that those little shits broke .
Wow was that an iPhone? Damn good ad! Still recording the sound ! Impressive.
External beeded windows not secure if you can take the glass out so can they and get in
Really! As demonstrated, no need to pop out a window if you possess a stone. Windows are windows so no need to over think this
In fairness I agree with this comment, I'm not sure of many suppliers who now provide externally beaded windows for that exact reason. Sure a brick will not stop the breaking of the glass but day to day security is more of the concern.

Police let them off
Should have made their parents pay the cost of the new glass at least x
@JeanetteGreen-l7b should but police are soft if parents would have to pay may keep a better eye on there kids
That is disgusting from the police without some sort punishment it tells them they can get away with anything in the future
Enjoyed the video glad you are now waterproof hopefully 😊😊
testing testing 123 had me rolling
Nice to see the windows in, much brighter inside. Have you a way of covering the windows whilst you are away from it now?
You need to cover the windows from the inside with black roofing paper so KIDS / people can’t see in side
That way they don’t know if someone is inside or is just empty
Bonus bottom of the canal footage 😅😅
I think I’d be investing in some clear or even tinted window protection film. 100% I would actually…

What a shame. Any plans to install security cameras in the future? Can't wait to see the complete project. Take care guys 😊
Its great you've got the windows in AGAIN, but have you taken any steps so the same thing does'nt happen again?
Fantastic!! What do you plan to do with the openings that were once entries? The ones where you cut off the inside step support frames?
Would it be possible to create a 'temporary' window shutter/covering that clips into the rain gutters above the windows - at least on the shore side? It may give a little more security when you're not there.
Now get heat in that thing A.S.A.P. So you can build in it in the winter.
when using your fingertool silicon spreader , wet your finger first and it won't stick to you Priscilla! lol
Your glass should be internally fitted beading so people can not take the glass out
The parents of those two kids should of paid for it.
did you find out who the little shits that broke the windows last time were?
I am surprised the leading beads are on the outside. Double glazed units are normally fitted from the inside. Burglars can easily remove a unit from outside. 🤔
Could you post a drawing of the dimensions of the boat. I know you say in video 65 x 12 but I am curious about how wide is the side decks and the stern deck is as well as how much the hull slopes.
I know them kids parents better pay restitution maybe maybe I'll get some help 😁
Hello! Is it possible to put a wooden shutter on the outside of the windows to protect the glass?
After all that i would put the wood back over the fresh windows so the goblins don't come back.
and next try and make it look like someone is living in it. Put some real fabric or blankets over the windows.
the windows are made in both in or out side. but most do make the beads inside. the strips used are for beaded on the inside. and this is supplied wrong go get the right type rubber beads that push in after the windows in on the inside.....(window fitter)
I’m just wondering, but are you going to insulate the boat?
board em up me heartiez*
Surely the window strips should be on the inside and not the outside as someone can come along and take the whole pane out and get in the boat. if they were inside then that would not be possible!!!!
Did the kids ever get caught ?
Just a bit of constructive criticism when you guys are talking over the music, we can barely hear what you’re saying. You guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
i hope you didnt give up on finding out who the two little toe-rags where and gave the parents the bill, or small claims court.
Could you post/share your song pay list? Thank you.
Did I miss an episode? ... This says #30 and Chris removed the bulkhead and step stringers in #28 ... What was #29?
Good catch 🪝 we have updated it! Thank you
I thought the bead would have gone on the inside of the windows Guy's for security point of view, hope them kid's are not watching !!!.🤔🤔.
Les Parcloses des fenêtres doivent être à l'intérieur !! Les fenêtres sont à l'envers !! Tout le monde peut entrer chez vous en retirant les Parcloses et ouvrir les fenêtres 😢
Sucks that that happened but kids will do what they do and kids are assholes true fact
not sure if you know this but your not ment 2 be able 2 change glass from outside that part should be inside
we can't hear you when music playing
Great video, or at least it was until the overpowering music/ noise
I stopped then, as to hear your voices, I risked disturbing my neighbours.
Oh..!..yes I UNDERSTAND..now.....if you have to change the glass.....It must be from the inside of the boat
Those windows are Wrong
The glass and beading should be put in from the inside.
If away for a length of time someone could remove said beading and grass from the outside and enter your barge.
School Boy Error 🤦♂️
Disgusting legal system.
Also get a magnet 🧲 on a rope for when you drop
Stuff in the water lol
Is the boat in a more secure place because the windows are uncovered now .
I fear the kids will strike again.
Hopefully not.🤞👏🙏👍⛴
