This is the best flan recipe by far. Fwi the what really makes the difference here is the lime zest. You can try it how ever you want but don't leave the zest out. Also don't leave in the oven for too long; if it starts getting too dark get it out.
I grew up eating flan at a Mexican restaurant in my town. It closed about 10 years ago and I’ve never been able to find flan like they had. I made this last night and it was PERFECT! It was exactly what I’d been hoping to find! This flan is delicious and by far the best recipe out there!! THANK YOU!!!
Made it! It looked simple enough! Hopefully it'll turn out well... Update: I had to cook it for 1 hour, 45 minutes was not enough for me. Ended up a bit too sweet for my taste. The zest and salt curbed the sweetness a bit but still a tad too sweet. Might consider cutting the condensed milk into half next time. And strain the mixture to make sure the texture becomes smoother. Keep in mind, that this comes from someone who don't eat a lot of sweets, and prefers salty and spicy dishes. I gave some to my little cousins and siblings and they said it was delicious. My American housemate also said it was good. Perhaps people who like sweet things a lot may find this delicious.
There's no such thing as original recipe. People make it their own by adding or replacing ingredients as they see fit. I make it for my family and I don't use vanilla but sometimes I add lemon zest, others I add coconut flakes and some others I add a quarter spoon of rum. You're going to tell me I can't do that because it's not the original recipe? Either way, people so love my flan that I've been offered money for my recipe but I won't budge!
ive tried this recipe twice and both times people loved it!Thanks for sharing:)I never knew lime was an ingredient in flan, it does have a good taste tho🙌🙌
Santo roy If u want to promote your business you dnt have to lie about it to bait ppl to click on it! This only proves you are dishonest and a cheat! I would never do business with you!!!
this look ingredible. can't wait to try it. but i did notice the error in the video. says to add 2 eggs while there were in fact 3 added. i am glad the recipe below corrected itself. i am most happy about the caramel running over the sides after it is turned out.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!! I just made this flan using the recipe, it turned out so delicious. LOL... the 2nd batch is in the oven right now as I'm going to take it to my sister tonight! ☺☺
If the texture is soft do I need to cook more? Add less milk (I think I added a little more to this recipe) or add another egg? The taste can be compared with. the best I've ever had.
So I thought I had all the ingredients for this, but turns out I bought dulche de leche instead of sweetened condensed milk. I thought it was a cool labeling thing. Fingers crossed that it works as birthday is today and I made it with dulce de leche
yeet yeet and you’re a psychopath. It’s interesting from a psychological standpoint how saying “if God wills” in Arabic can trigger you to become angry lol. Clearly you have issues... Insha Allah you get help.
Alhamdulillah soy Latina Musulmana y 100% orgullosa!!! And you are probably one of those Puerto Ricans that don’t even know Spanish, Francisa Osorio 😂😂😂... Welp! 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve tried making flan many times but never could get the sugar caramel right, today I threw it together like I didn’t care and it turned out perfect, something tells me different sugars react differently with Domino sugar it was brown right away but with other sugars it took a while to get some color in it

The original recipe dosnt call for lime zest
Yet the lime zest makes it way better.

This recipe is just awesome, the perfect measurements and it comes out perfect for an amateur cook like me! Thank u, please post some more
I made this for my husband yesterday minus the zest and it came out bomb. I used a smaller bowl than you and I had to cook it for 75 mins.

Tried this several times and it always turned out good
This is such a great recipe I made it for my mom's birthday it was a hit.
Hi. am from Trinidad and I jus love all or recipes am interested in the pastries an sponge cake,,, you are best' god bless u
Lime zest cuts the fresh smell of the eggs. I use orange extract works great too. I also put a dash of nutmeg and ginger. Freshly grated
Quick note: mine took about 2 hours to cook, once it was set in the refrigerator and it was all ready it turned out perfect😍
@ksoxr sorry such a late response😅 I do the lime zest but a little less than whats recommended only because it can overpower flavor wise
I tried this recipe earlier and it turned out wayyyy too sweet... i suggest adding only half a can of condensed milk?
I was a flan of this video

The lime zest adds a whole new element to this dish
Good or bad???
it looks nice and easy but i would strain it after mixing every thing together so that the lemon zest particles would be taken out.

Lime
It actually adds a nice hint, in my opinion.

If the texture is soft do I need to cook more? Add less milk (I think I added a little more to this recipe) or add another egg? The taste can be compared with. the best I've ever had.

I want to try this out .. does the lime taste come through
Simply regrigerate it or freeze it?
How come when I flip my over there is always a small layer of caramilized sugar that stays in the vase?
Same here!! I never manage to make the caramel come clean off :/
@KeshReactionTV the yellow circle thing in an egg
Did you put that egg yolk in the mixture or did you leave it out
As soon as the sugar caramelizas put it in the pan ! Lol if it cools it’s so hard to cover
hello can anyone tell me what temperature to use? my phone makes the video very blurry so I can't see it. Thank you
350°F or 177°C
Sorry can't help. The damn letters were too small I couldn't see shit!! Don't think she mentioned the temp. unless it was in the small print as well.
My only concern and shocked nobody addressed it is the size of the bowl its baked in.
Is it 1 cup milk and 1 can condensed milk?
Can i try it wirh powdered sugar?
Did you cook the caramel in a non-stick pan or?
Do you put in the freezer
Mmmmmm Ricisiiimo Y muy facil de hacer 👍
Brenda Gerardo flowers

Is it possible to just use 3 eggs? How much of a difference is there?

Does anyone know how many does this recipe serve?
