that sticker is actually a nice realistic bonus. whenever mustangs were built, the crew would always engrave letters of their initials along with the number of the car they had built
That looks more like a Mercedes GT than a mustang. But I like it for a 50$ set. And leave the pullback for kids sets.

3:10 the reason I think is when in a collision these redundant parts lean on the parts behind it, improving rigidity of the front end.
It's a really good looking model, much more recognizable, completely built than other attempts at this scale. Best feature I think is the removable trigger and pieces to complete the back. Pull back motors are an improvement a lot faster than previous models as well. Not really bothered by the lack of technic functionality as it's a smaller/simpler to build model, and meant for younger builders as opposed to landmark scale technic sets and vehicles where such a pull back feature would be not only impossible, but impractical as well. On a whole I only really build the bigger scale models anyway.
This set, to me, is the ultimate "Amazing Christmas on a budget" set. I would have loved this set as a kid. Only problem with that logic is, it releases in January, about as far from Christmas as one can get, so I am not sure.
This is actually the first pullback set that I think is really cool! Double pullbacks for extra horsepower, and a neat stopper function so you can really wind it up. And the overall look of the model is quite nice. I might get this one

3:30 it is a pull back car and it will meet many walls on it's way, so it's better not to fold front part and break pins, but to give all energy to chassis
Possible reason for the not-updated Element IDs for the pins: On Rebrickable, we often see the instructions having the old mold version of a part, while Bricks&Pieces has the new one. We've seen this in the 2780 vs 61332 and many others. This also happens for some printed parts that get an update (1x1 round tile with coin for example). What mold you will find in your box, depends on the stock of the old mold during the packaging in factory. So big change, that when you check the inventory on Bricks&Pieces, it will show the Element ID for the new mold.
I am 19, got the set after a long time of not having any lego sets. I really like the visuals, the lime on stickers doesn't really bother me that much - they are stickers after all. I like the looks and have it just as a display set, although initially had some fun with pullback function. I also modded it a bit to have a storage for the removable handle inside of the model under the front axle. I like how it complements my room, really needed some of that representation of my lego love.
I'm glad they left us enough space to fit in steering, differential and engine. However I'm kinda dissapointed, for a 50$ set with no other functions that 2 pullback motor and a rachet, it shouldn't jam as much.

I bought this off Amazon and it arrives tomorrow after school, I saw this, and man, your review makes me lose any doubt as to whether this is a good set, I especially love how the back part can either be fully built for display or taken off in the middle for play
I would like more functionality and the rear is the only part that looks like a mustang to me.
I like this set about as much as the Corvette set for different reasons. I currently have an altered B model of the Corvette on my display shelf. The removable lever was a great idea for AFOLs and the size is good. Not having a B model and poor color matching are the biggest problems I have with this set.

Thanks for the review. I definitely prefer functional detail over the pull-back function. And the lack of a B model is a deterrent for me to purchasing this model. It does look good though. Thanks again for the great review.

i feel like they could have added steering and had a slot for an axle to be put in to lock the steering when in the pull back mode
I don't like pullbacks, but they give me a lot of memories. I've got the black one and the green one since I was a kid
Great review, thank you very much. How do you open the box so clean? I use a utility knife myself, but I eventually ruin a flap each time misaligning the tool and cutting through the cardboard.

I bought this today and built it! i love this set
I bought this Mustang recently - don’t laugh but was my first Technics build. I think the car was quite solid after I finished. Really pleased with how the car was finished as well. I think this would have been an awesome brick model, but was a nice intro to Technics! PS - I hate the stickers with these kits. They are fidley at best.
It would be cool if you could have steering, then lock it in order to use pull back mode
The front black grill is a bit loose. I went back twice just to make sure that everything was ok. Not sure how they missed that.
The pullback + ratchet system would be perfect for a drag car model
Good functional technic set with model aspect(scale) in technic form. Younger technic fans will be happy and better look like previous Pull Back Technic sets.
I don't like previous Pull Back in Technic series, because old Racers sets was better and have more details in brick build form, only limited design in 2006. I will want back something similar in 2021 with more details and more higher price for better design with pull back motor, maybe extra feature, like old Racers sets with Crash feature. Something between Creator Expert(design, details) and Technic.(functions, pull back motor).
What i do with pullback sets is take it apart, take out the mechanism in the pull back motor so that it doesnt work.
For me i couldnt get the taillights on idk if i did something wrong but i looked back everything looks right
I just finished to assemble this kit and they did fix the color of the stickers. Now it is definitely the same color than the bricks. I believe you made a mistake on the rear end or they fixed the issue. The black part doest come down on my model.
i wish the interior had more detail, i always love tiny details in the interior like in the mclaren f1 set where theres stickers for the steering wheel. Over all the car has a "dragster" type of feel to it
or like the bugatti chiron set with the little dash board

I just finished this set an where the tail lights the gray bar used to lock the tail lights in place the stud bar seemed to not line up right I had to modify it making the tail lights more raised it still works though I don't know if it those 4 pieces he was saying you won't find as there 2 unless been updated in manual

This is a great LEGO Technic set and the other new 2022 sets, but I wish LEGO would release more LEGO Technic sets but this time, not with pull back motors because I feel bored with just only pull back and nothing else.
Most of the time designers need to meet price point and sometimes that connetor with two cross pin is cheaper to produce than connector with the single cross pin. To set I think that this set is missed opportunity because Mustang or Shelby is popular among people. It should be set like McLaren Senna functional engine, steering and also opnening doors. ✌️
8:00 this is literally happening in my build. It’s completely loose and doesn’t touch the rear fender and just falls through. Irritating because I backtracked and everything looks in place
Is there a miss print in the instructions on page 35 for you guys because I am either missing a piece in my set or there’s a misprint in it but there’s a piece like that’s not there for me and I just open this up

Maybe I’m Mr. Picket but here are three things I found interesting.
1. The AR app is NOT available on Apple devices.
2. No seat belt stickers. They would help the looks inside the car.
3. On instruction panel #8 the part 6321747 is installed. It is not repeated on the other side of the car and has no real purpose. But all in all a nice model.

I think that it is funny that this car with no piston-engine has a working hood, but the McLaren Senna which had a working piston-engine didn't have a working hood! (Same for the Corvette).

This looks so similar to the blue car from the car transporter, the mustang at all is very sad and in my opinion defetnly not his money worth
It's sad when 4 out of 5 technic sets don't have any gears and the one that has them uses them for a fake engine

it would be going rampant if it has steering since its a pull back though. Would appreciate an official set with steering and suspension on this scale.
the only way they could sell a set like this to me is special rims/light parts tbh. Recently I just put independent suspension and steering in something half the size of this.
I will do modification of this set when it will get released. I would add steering and engine

Love the design and pullback gimmick. It just underwhelms me that there isn't that much features. Like at least have a fake piston engine, or a functional door.
I figured out why I don’t like this. You see, the mustard while actually being fairly wide for a Sportscar looks pretty thin however this one looks not only wide but has a round front which drastically change the look of the car. I would go as far as to say the proportions are so off that this looks like a hyundai genesis coupe.

Based off of looks alone, the rear looks fantastic. However, the front looks very meh in my opinion.

Been a while but you’ll need to pull the wheels slightly out so they don’t make contact with the car.

I like it! He is a beautiful model. Unfortunately it is not yet on the market :-( How do you get it? I have the Corvette kit, which has many parts in common. LEGO does not have the manual available ... how could I get it? Great unboxing 🙂
