If technic wants to add steering to a pullback set, something like the winch speed function in 2019’s tracked loader would work pretty well.
It would allow steering without it being annoying, and for the kids, you could pull off some sick turns with that.
Overall, i think since these sets appeal to both children and older fans looking for a cheap set, i dont think pullback would be a great idea.
Awesome channel! I just started getting into Lego Technic with the Robot Inventor set and your in-depth reviews of pieces and sets is really helpful
Just built this model kit & I have to say even the connection to hold the bonnet in place was very upsetting for the design but still a great learning experience for my new love of LEGO technic
Thanks for a great post!Really looks like a fun build. Only thing is the color!
@@Unbrickme just feel that they could add some other colors to these sets, Lamborghini was this same green, Porsche GT3 was orange along with Corvette, even the Senna should have had a better color
I want to like this, I just don’t. I guess I don’t really care about the pull back function. I would’ve liked doors that open. The Senna was a total surprise to me, and it was one of my favorite technic sets from this year. I wish it was built like that model. I think for $50 I would rather get some Speed Champions cars.
I have a question: would it be possible to modify 42138 with 42093 parts so that it has Steering, Engine, Differential and openable doors?
The rear wheel arch blocks the top half of the door, so you would need major modifications to the exterior, and not just adding some hinges. For steering the roof would have to be modified aswell. I don't think it is possible, as the 42093 corvette is in orange. You might be able to get the pieces to modify the doors and roof if you bought another mustang for the pieces, and the corvette for the hinges and steering mechanism. That would cost around $150, so it is not recommended.
@@jakemillar649 Thank you! I was referring more to a chassis modification just leaving the body of the Ford Mustang
@@Unbrickme I think so but I would have to wait until 2022 and buy at 42138 and try, if it achieved something I will post it on rebrickable
RE: Recent Technic Fake tiny engine blocks
Real pistons are connected to crankshafts, not resting on cams.
Real pistons don't pop out of the engine block
Personally, I think these are ridiculous, I'd rather have a non-functional engine model than one of those fake contrivances.
Challenge: make a boxer version
I think I'll be getting this and the Porsche, they look good for what they are.
I’ll buy it just because it looks good lol
Possibly £10-20 more to create a two in one sort of thing with the A model being the pull back and the B model having features. Or make this pull back line exclusive to electric vehicles as this would solve that feature less/ doors not being open but it would too be a let down.
I really don't recommend you to try any technic set outside
I think I'm gonna try make it open it's doors when I'm done and I'll upload a video how to if I'm successful
Can you do top 5 best lego technic rough terrain vehicles?
The front axle has enough space for modified into piston engine🤔
It’s a squeeze to fit a V8, and it’s a challenge to connect the engine to an axle for it to spin… (Speaking from my attempt today)
I will get the Formula E Porsche, but not this. I'm not a big fan of the mustang, but like Formula E. Also, the Formula E does not sacrifice opening doors, as it doesn't have any in real life. There is less to complain about with the Formula E car, just the lack of steering.
Unbrickme the slope panels in which Max-D is stickered are the other way round 3:08 pls correct it since I own the set it looks Ridiculous to me
How do you get the hood to sit flush I can’t for the life of me
Yes the rubber band Idea would be nice will you make a video how to mad it??
The side design looks very similar to that of the 42098 car transporter’s car, so if that didn’t have openable doors then it was doubtful this would.
It would bei very cool if you motorized it !
Because i've already done it and the Mustang goes very fast.
Bro assaulted the car at the start
Please make a video about Lego mindstorms robot inventor ultrasonic sensor pin breakout port
Thank you for the rewiev.. i want this as i love the car soo much but not at the price. Its even more expensive where i live..
Nice new icon
No openable doors killer for me
If I be honest there is way better things to buy for the same price
I agree the over body design is too blocky, and all of the curves weren't captured
I like it so much 😍
it should have steering and openable doors
I been turning my 40$ lego gtr car into a remote control car
What a shame there is no working engine
Cool
wont pull back for me lol
I bought this car for $35
not worth it. i bough it and at first it was good, but nit for long, its ugly, its not wide enough, it looks weird , its made cheap and looks cheap
McLaren senna definitely better more features in McLean.
This model is terrible
1st 😃
It’s quite cool that you get 2 motors and they have that cool locking mechanism I think all sets should have that. And it looks awesome. Also 1:47 what on earth is happening
@@brickcat5342 congratulations and thank you very much! Also I just made the car jump a little
A good compromise would be an A Model for the pullback, and a B model for engine-steering-diff.
That’s actually a great idea
