My Wiliamite army so far for the League of Augsburg period . The figures are Pendraken and they are base for Beneath the Lillie Banners 2 rules . Thanks for looking . Regards Gav .
Great work. Lovely to see them all on parade. Its refreshing to see a project in this period. It always surprises me we don't see more as the period covered so many different theatres.
rum tee tum tee tum tee tum, rum tee tum tee tee tum, my old regiments official march. Great stuff mate, as Ralph says, spread em out into units on a table and then you get the full effect. very nice
That's quite a sizeable army - you have to take into account that they are all in base to base contact and not spread out as they would be on a wargames table.
@Gavin Booth Hi Gavin, absolutely beautifully painted 10mm Pendraken LoA! Can you please tell me what base sizes are you using for your Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery and Command stands? And also how many bases to a regiment for infantry and cav? I can't find much information on 10mm basing for the below rules. I've bought the Beneath the Lily Banners 3rd edition rules and your video wants/inspired me to buy 10mm Pendrake LoA armies. Thanks Gav. Cheers Mate.
Thanks for the kind words Andrew i use 30mm /30mm bases for all the infantry , cavalry and command and 40mm/40mm for the artillery . But thats just me i use four bases for the infantry 6 figures to a base so two musket , one command one pike . They are easy to handle and more cost effective . Regards Gav.
Totally disagree with the army being underwhelming! It looks bloody impressive, they are after all 10 mm, if those guys were 28's they would fill up a table! Once the other third are complete, and then the Jacobites who will face them, it will look superb.
I used the firing line standing and kneeling the relaxed poses most are flint locks and I mix them up for variety . I have now some marching figures for my Dutch they are waiting in the line. I used the ECW casualty figures and will use the siege morters at some stage and some civilians and pioneers .Thanks for your interest .Regards Gav .
