TEMPLAR PRECISION MAKES PARTS. Pretty much every part you need he can make you INCLUDING A COMPLETE RIFLE. He can also convert any AR15 barrel in any caliber long as it’s mid or carbine length so if you want a 10.5” 1/7 you can do that 300blk, 7.62x39 you name it.
Recommend sending it to Dana Beck at Templar Precision. The gas system might need to be tuned. He did my 12.5” and Lucas Botkins ACR after it was cut to 13.7 and didn’t run.
Dana also can convert any AR15 barrel in pretty much any caliber long as it’s carbine or mid length. Can’t wait to get my7.62x39 barrel and AK mag lower
The huge advantage is that the Bren2 is battle proven at this point. And CZ has great CS should one needs it. It is one of my fav 5.56 rifles suppressed, the other one is the LMT shovelnose 12'' piston.
@@tbrgunworks9975 IMO the full sized carbine is the less desirable version. Bren2 supposed to be pretty lightweight and balanced, but carbine totally missed it. I sold it pretty quick and went the 11'' SBR route with the OEM BR stock. That's the best way for a tactical Bren2 setup.
@@JohnZ556 I would absolutely prefer an SBR Bren2, but I don't like their factory configurations with shorter barrels. Would prefer to make my own starting with the carbine setup.
@@tbrgunworks9975 Not sure how you would do that... The piston block on the carbine is further if I'm not mistaken. So it's not as 'simple' as cut down barrel and get a new gas regulator.
I wouldn't think modifying barrels, and even making bolts would be too difficult for an experienced machinist. Obviously having an experienced company produce them would be ideal, but you could keep that expiration date at bay with some effort.
The 300blk ACR barrel uses a pistol gas system so you can cut it just beyond the receiver it works great very nice rifle I have a 300blk barrel for mine
@@tbrgunworks9975 hope you see my other comment on Templar precision Dana can convert you any AR15 caliber barrel long as it’s carbine or mid length so if you want a 6mm arc he can do that
Nostalgic my ass, it’s a great rifle. Templar Precision makes a lot of parts and accessories for it. I’ve run mine for many years and I’ve never had any issues. The only thing I wish it had better would be a 1-7 -or 1-8 twist barrel.
I asked Bushmaster/Franklin Armory about the ACR back when they said they were going to reintroduce the ACR I was told by Franklin Armory in an Email. That they bought Bushmaster and the ACR patent, but they did not get the tooling machinery or molds the deal. Seriously' how hard would it be to imitate an ACR! I mean how many manufactures, have a similar design now what like 6 or 7 including FN, etc. etc.
If they have the patent then they have all of the technical packets which means if they really wanted to they could make the tooling. Bad excuse on their part.
The Bushmaster ACR is an Icon. In my opinion Franklin Armory/Bushmaster are missing out on a literal opportunity of lifetime to be the most popular firearm in the industry. Franklin/Bushmaster will never bring back the ACR they do not want the responsibility and can't live up to the hype of the ACR's Legendary history of the Downs and ups
I bought my ACR in 2018 or 2019 for about $1700 or $1800 can't remember exactly. It's a 1/7 twist 16" barrel enhanced version. I like it but it's heavy @ a little over 8 lbs naked. Very nose heavy. And the trigger sucks. Other than weight and trigger I love the acr. I'm going to replace the trigger next time geissele has a sale and been thinking about chopping the barrel down to 13.7 with a warcomp or tax stamp a 11.5
A lot of people having issues with their barrels in the ACR are doing it wrong and breaking the ratcheting mechanism. Tim from Military Arms channel got absolutely destroyed in the comments on his video where a lot of users pointed out that he broke it by using/attaching it the wrong way.
as of 2024 there is nothing can bit ar 15 on price and modularity , barrel swap ? you can buy the whole upper still cheaper , this will remain this ways years to come,
I have a slim handguard on my AR and I absolutely hate it, considering I like the tucked look, and the slim handguard limits you for linier comps, blast shields etc. Obviously unsuppressed, to each their own however "I do not" support the "unconstitutional" NFA! In my opinion that is the same as saying I support the 2nd Amendment "but"!

Put you a forward facing BCM gunfighter grip feels great with the c clamp
Agreed I have been running one for years, glad someone else is smart and tried these…
BEST intro EVER!
BEST let-down of what could have been a great rifle.
Thank you! More to come
I whole heartedly believe if Remington/bushmaster had properly supported this rifle when it first came out it would be where the AR15 is today.

After installing the Lingle bolt catch lever onto the HB Bren2 SBR. It is now everything I wanted from an ACR.

Having problems with FNH is because it not native to the USA .
Because the quality that FN is the ultimate.
Get an LWRC and be done with it if you want a piston “AR”.
bought my acr new right after the lawsuit in 2020 i have less then 500 rounds threw it because of parts availability.
