I like the Chipotle colour most. Lovely looking reel. I'm trying this style of nymphing in a few weeks, on a river I've not fished since I was a teenager. I'm looking forward to it, but yes, that style of fishing has been around a long time.
Went to the ultra thin setup and now I need a new reel. The thin line keeps sneaking out of the cage as the gap is large enough to let the 8lb maxima right on thru
Not sure. You’d have to check with Brian or the folks at the shop on that. Give them a call or drop them an email and they will be happy to help. Thanks.
Hi Brian These reels look 😍 really cool. Would love to try one on my new 4 wt primal 10 ft. Be more $$$$ to buy here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 though. Hope you are staying safe. Cheers Craig 🍻
Brian ..... I have to ask .... do people like giving there money away hahaha ..... hey god bless your business make all the money you can , you provide hands down the best experience for the money in the fly world, I mean that . From you and your lessons to your staff at the shop .... you guys are amazing 🤙🏻 but back to the reels ... lol we were tight lineing cane poles when I was a kid lol we couldn’t get our parents to spend the money untill we showed enough interest for the parents to invest, sooo we literally took pices of fly line and some mono and thought we were pros hahahah many a hooks to the face and neck region , our parents gave in and got us read gear ..... hahahha god I love telling people how I got in to fly fishing ........ Brian , thanks again . If forced ...... I’d roll with the reddington......🤷🏻♂️
HAHA, Before I got into fly fishing I "euro nymphed" with my ultralight spinning gear for trout all the time. I didn't even know I was being trendy. Its what got me into fly fishing. Too funny.
Why they put the giant “TILT” on the side of that is a head scratcher. Would be a really attractive reel otherwise. Hell I might buy one and paint it 🤷🏻♂️😂
After many many tries I gave up on the idea to balance my euronymphing rods the way I do with my dry fly rods. It just does not work. Whichever way you look at it, the weight of the reel you need to balance a 11 foot ESN is prohibitively high. The whole system gets too clumsy and heavy, so I went exactly the opposite way-the smallest and lightest reel with good enough drag to fight big fish-presently my reel of choice is 3/4 Nautilus CCF.
Let’s discuss the most important part of this video: The Click Readers. OMG, they are an absolute life changer. If you use readers and haven’t yet switched over to the Click readers, I would consider you primitive. It’s a life changer. Trust me.
What color do you like the most on these reels?! Comment below!
Chipotle I have this ESN Sage reel and I love it.
@@allenstilwell7769 Chipotle is the best seller! 👍
Chipotle for the win
I prefer the black because every nick and scratch it shows is a good memory of fishing with a story behind it.
Thanks for sharing and for watching.
Reddington are knocking it out the park when it comes to reels now. Really gorgeous reel that.
They have some great products, that's for sure. Thanks for watching.
I’ve been using the Sage ESN since it’s release and luv it! The weight system to balance it is outstanding.
It's a really great reel and concept.
Excellent review. Sage for the win 🎣👍
Thanks for being here. A great selling reel for sure!
Zero dislikes. Factually the most loved video on youtube
That.....is.....amazing. We usually have a full galley of haters. They must not be Euro Nymphers?

Chipotle is the best seller by far!

Yes, a specific reel designed for this purpose certainly helps!
What happened to the video about the Echo Shadow Reel "Revolutionary Budget Euro Nymphing Reel"? I can't find it!
Not sure. You’d have to check with Brian or the folks at the shop on that. Give them a call or drop them an email and they will be happy to help. Thanks.
Can't wait for the new Euro Nymphing socks.....
Stay tuned.
The weights on the Sage can also be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to shift smaller balancing increments for fine tuning
Thanks for watching.

True, we have all “tight lined” at some point.
The advantage of a proper euronymphing fly rod is the length but you already know that I'd guess :)
Whats best 10ft 2Wt or 10ft 3Wt to do Straight line Euro Style and maybe some dry's.
Please send your questions over to the shop directly and they will be happy to help. Thanks.
Sage ESN
Do you have a video that explains exactly what Euro Nymphing is ?
Don’t think so but you can call or e-mail the shop and they will be happy to help/explain. Thanks.

You'd have to check with Redington on that. We don't have any pull there. Thanks.
Can you sue the tilt for a non euro rod? Like a 9ft 5wt for all around fishing?
Probably so. Feel free to give a call or e-mail the shop and they should be able to answer that for sure. Thanks.

Most folks want the heavy reel for Euro but the cool thing is, you can do whatever you want.
Man that Sage ESN is sexy!
It is!
I sure believe the Redington Tilt is a good reel for Euro nymphing. But the plate on its side with this word TILT on the side makes it look horrible😵
Thanks for watching.
