As a from the beginning Strawberrian, I miss this place SO much. Each one was amazing as are our Strawberry friends through the years who we love dearly. We have our memories. These videos help; Thanks!
Talent and heart everywhere here. I saw Mark O'Connor when he was 13 at the Folklife Festival in Seattle. Busking in the walkways. I listened a long time to this oh so serious kid demonstrate mastery of fiddle and flat picking guitar. His hat was filling up with tips. I told him he was destined for greatness and already had the skills with lots more to come. I saw Jerry Douglas with Union Station when their bus said "No one you know". At the Backstage in Seattle. Talked with Alison Krauss between sets. I told her she and her band were going to explode and no funny bus name would stop it. Alison is such a terrific person and musician. 6 months later they got their first Grammy. Check out Jerry Douglas and Tommy Emmanuel with "Choctaw Hayride". God bless all of them. Treasures all.
Crucial County going on. Wasn't that the name of this thrown together Peter Rowan Band. Good times I was there back then. The Grateful Dead kids were all their dancing in the meadows spinnig on the grass. A kewl sight to see.
Great concert and world-class musicians: thank you for sharing this with us! The sound of the band is superb too: full, spacey, yet naturally acoustic sounding. IMHO much better then most of the acoustic bands these days. Does anyone know what gear do they use (what mics, pick-ups, preamps etc.), please?

Dale Batchelor directed this masterpiece video; I was on the camera at the right. Strawberry '86.
Thanks for this!
I can confidently say the playing in this video is better than the hairstyles haha. Oh the mid 80s.
Dig the pastel colored blazers! 😝
A bald man would be happy with such hair
Thanks so much for posting. Amazing performances and pretty darn good recording.
Roy!
Awesome! Thanks for share, I love the song at 8:18, anyone knows the name?
Concrete Jungle with the echoes reminds me of Strength in Numbers and dem acoustic dub from the 80s, same musicians anyway
