Amazing review! I'm looking for a CamelBak that is good for both running and biking, and your video sold me on this one, thank you!

Just picked one up at rei. I plan on taking this thing hiking and to some raves. I love the low footprint and breathability.

I've heard good things about the vest style packs. I almost never fill my backpack so storage isn't a concern. I actually prefer a hip pack but really am looking at bib shorts with a back pocket. I'd love to get back to not wearing a pack.

Thank you sooooo much for showing the storage compartments on the back of the vest- super helpful and what I was interested in seeing. One question- is it possible to use your fingers to squeeze/bite the mouth piece so water flows/pours out of it, or do you have to be pulling the water up through the tube with your mouth? I hope that questions makes sense :-) This will be my first hydration pack and I hate the feeling of a mouthpiece in my mouth, so I'm hoping to hold the mouth piece near my mouth and have the water flowing. Thank you!

Happy to help. Water will flow when squeezing the bit valve if you get it started by taking a small drink from it. Or if you find a way to keep the straw lower than the bladder. If the straw ever goes above the level water in the bladder you will need to take that small drink to get it started.

@@RunBikeMike Makes sense- looks like I will wind up having to use the mouthpiece as intended more often that I would like Lol Thank you very much for the clear and quick response!!

Thank you for the review! I have two other Camelbaks that I’ve used for several years now. I’m interested in this one because the front pockets. It looks pretty secure once it’s strapped on. My question is, does the back part have enough storage for a light jacket or sweater? Overall it looks cool and seems pretty functional but I’m a little concerned about its storage.
Thanks again for the video and review! 💪🏼👊🏼🤘🏼😎 🚲

I was able to fit a light weight rain jacket in it. The main storage is small but those front pockets are super nice.

1st time I used my new one yesterday and a Hi5 bar in the front pocket bounced out on a downhill somewhere.......never to be seen again. Not impressed because the exact reason I bought it was to hold food in the front strap pouches.

Hey, nice review! The iphone 12 pro max is 6.7" and it fits perfectly. Do you think that a phone that is slightly bigger will fit as well? I have a 6.9" phone with case and I'm wondering if it will fit in that pocket.

    • @RunBikeMike

I think it would. It is a little stretchy.

Would you recommend for hiking? Thank you for the video!

I have used it for that. It doesn’t have a ton of room like other hiking backpacks. But it is great if you want something that is lightweight.

Are you sure that's a 50 and not an 80? I just bought a Chase 50 and it looks different. Unless they already changed them in the past year.

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  2 роки тому

They did change it for 2022. It is just a little different. The colors are different and the front pockets have changes also. There might be a few other changes but I haven't had a chance to review the newer model.

Sorry to rant on your video but I'm totally disappointed in this thing.. I'm 6'3" and 190lbs ( big, but not huge) and this vest fits like a tiny bra! Received as a gift that I can't return. I have the straps MAXED out but can barely fit my arms through it and can barely snap the closures shut. And this is with a thin shirt on. I'm reading TONS of reviews about this vest but I guess no big guys use it?? . I also can't store any extra shirts/ arm warmers in the pockets if the water bladder is full. What am I missing? This thing is NOT designed for me. Had to give it to my younger niece.

No worries. Sorry to hear it didn’t work for you. Hopefully you can find a vest that fits you well and gives you what you are looking for.

In 2 minutes I could present this nice pack without the needless chatter What is the weight?
I don't care about your older packs
Just the pocket placements but don't need to hear they're for, we all know what pockets are for. Yes, the key ring, and what it's for. Very insightful. ..
    WHATS THE WEIGHT
