  • Buying cheap parts always seems to be a gamble. However, sometimes it's worth it. But can you get away with cheap ignition coils? At least in my 6.2L V8 F-150, they just might do the trick.

Tough call when its well over 100K miles. How long you're going to keep it, could be a money pit with other stuffs start to fall apart like my Volvo after 100K, or my Ford and Mercedes even after 50K miles. Do I need to get OEM parts from the dealer and refinance my house or take a chance on aftermarket Chinese parts at a fraction of the price hoping it would last? If you're getting cheap Chinese parts, get Taiwanese (enemy of China) for better quality.

That’s crazy. He doesn’t throw a check engine light as long as it gets the most faint spark, and you will not know when your ignition go out and create more lean conditions or rich.
