I have a Vizio 70-in flat screen that I bought in 2019 I couldn't get Disney plus on so I went to Walmart and almost bought a 65-in Hisense just to get Disney plus until I decided to get the Roku adapter HDMI hooked it in through my internet and then hooked it up to my TV and it works perfect avoid all the bull crap go spend $30 on a Roku extra with remote and you're good to go

Well... I tried this but I cannot 'cast' in any method from my laptop to my Vizio TV. Says is not supported.... I can cast to my Vizio TV with my phone, but then cannot play Disney through the browser, wants me to download their App... so tired of having to download an app for every single thing. Maybe a Roku is only route for me.
My problem is everything casts fine until I try to play anything. It just shows a black screen on the TV but plays on my tablet. Then when I back out of the movie it shows on the TV. Every movie I choose turn out black screen with only audio.

Yes same here we just got the TV d series neither Disney+ will load of movie and AirPlay doesn’t work at all! I mean for the price for the 40 inch I really can’t complain everything else looks amazing I just hope they at least update the Disney+ app to stream the movie!

Did you look at smart cast. They have since done a download to the smart cast input option. If you look there you may see the Disney+ App. The you can stream directly from the TV. Make sure you have internet attached to the TV or WIFI to the TV. Hope that may help.

As of 4 days ago.... Chromecast, however, does not work. Try, and you'll be greeted with an error message. Turns out, the Chromecast built-in version that Vizio's been using on its TVs is horribly outdated, so they'll be pushing out an update in December to get Chromecast built-in to a current version that Disney+ supports. In the meantime, you can plug in virtually any modern streaming dongle, box or stick and get access to Disney+
If you have an iPhone Your able to use air play to display it on the tv but your unable to use the phone if you leave the show/movie it will disconnect
Hello, make sure the share audio box is checked. If so... it may just be your version of TV. We have been hearing from many people that it works, sometimes there is no audio, and for some it doesn't work. Frustrating I know. If you have a game console...XBOX or Playstation....you can download the Disney App on that device and it should work fine. I am still looking at the audio issue and I can't replicate it to help find a fix. I'll keep trying. Good luck. Hate that you can't see your Disney Plus!

Meyers and the Mouse Yes I followed what you did which allowed it to bypass the the Visio disclaimer. Immediately I was able to see the the Star Wars intro, quickly the screen went black over the video, but not the rest of the desktop. So looking at the tv screen Which displayed my desktop, flipped to back to you tube tab and back. Still blacks out only content inside the Disney + tab. Obviously it is not a technology thing, this feels like some kind of legal thing ( possibly with other contracts Vizio holds?). Too bad, they are both from California.

This did not work for me :( When I use this method, my screen does cast to the TV, but the space where the Disney+ video is playing is just a black rectangle. It shows the rest of the screen [when not in full-screen mode] and plays the audio, the Disney+ logo appears, and the play/forward/back (etc.) buttons appear, but then the video itself doesn't cast. (ETA: casting to a 1.5-year-old Vizio smart TV from a Windows laptop. Tried both with Chrome and Edge.)
We have been told that this has been hit and miss depending on the TV. Sounds like you are doing it correctly by doing the Desktop and not the TAB. Do you have an XBOX or Playstation?
If on phone open gallery then mirror. Open Disney on desk top view(not app) should mirror then. Would not mirror with app just allowed audio. Hope this helps. Hit like if it did🙂

We have a Samsung HDTV, not a Smart TV and a Samsung Smart BluRay player, plus a TIVO from our cable company and we couldn't get it on our TIVO or our Smart BluRay player!! My $40 fix was to go out and buy a Roku!! We are all good now!!
@@ellieellie749 If you have a Vizio TV Kelly trick should work for you. But if you aren't able to use his fix, mine will work. You just need to go to a store like Walmart and buy a Roku. They are around $40 and they plug into your TV like a BluRay player. I believe once we hooked ours up, I had to use my laptop to set it up, but once it was set up we can do everything on the Roku itself!! We love our Roku and eventually we may get rid of cable!
Meyers and the Mouse that's very cool to know but you can also get the Fire TV stick in the application is already installed on there. And a Amazon ethernet converter to it. The ethernet converter plugs in to the power supply port the power supply plugs into the Y splitter attached to the power supply can you plug it into the wall and the ethernet cable into the modem ethernet port this will eliminate buffering a stronger more reliable signal makes for a nicer video. This the ethernet converter will not work with the firestick TV 4K it will only work with the original Fire TV stick. I know because I've tried this and you can buy signal amplifiers that you can plug into the other rooms that will have a mini USB port like the one on the Fire TV stick that will boost the signal and behave as though it's alright it's an important with that isn't it for adapter Amazon makes them.

In fact that's how I learned about you today connection just somebody did a video on how to convert from Wireless to ethernet connection in a used Chromecast. I had applications on my TV and Amazon Prime stopped working call Precious three Fire TV stick.

I tried it, I got the mirror effect...almost. I got everything, the screen, the Disney + main page, but when i started the Madalorian all I got was the audio, no images :-( . Maybe I did it wrong?
Weird. On our Vizio, we can watch some content with the Firestick, but some of it also just plays the audio, like the Madalorian, some movies and shorts. Vizio released a statement to use AirPlay, which is disappointing but should hopefully make that content viewable.
@@ravenslogoless2212 AIrwatch is an apple app you can use to bypass the issue. Download it on your phone and give it a try. I havnt used it in a long time but you can you tube or google it and get directions from there! Hope that helps!

Not sure on that one. Make sure you are up to date with the chrome.

Haven't tried casting but used my ipad to stream 4k with dolby vision to my p series using the disney plus app.
I just ordered a P series. So if I have Disney+ on my iphone or Mac and cast it to my P series it will be able to display the 4K HDR content properly?

Just grab a laptop grab and hdmi cable boom , shut the laptop after the video been running for awail and boom

Nope just go to the site on the computer. You are mirroring your desktop to the TV. Make sure you dont chose tab....you must chose desktop.

You have to mirror your computer screen. Of course each version of tv may be a little different. Make sure the source is desktop.

Make sure you ate not casting the TAB. You need to cast (mirror) the desktop. Make sure Chrome is up to date as well.

try unlocking the share audio and see what happens
If I unclick "share audio", the sound doesn't play on the TV and only on my laptop, which is delayed

@@ravenslogoless2212 AIrwatch is an apple app you can use to bypass the issue. Download it on your phone and give it a try. I havnt used it in a long time but you can you tube or google it and get directions from there! Hope that helps!

Migel do you have a playstation or XBOX? You can download the app on those consoles and watch it fine on your Vizio TV.
